Bonnie’s July 2017 Beauty Favorites

Here’s my July favorites! I feel like I’m a bit disorganized this month but the thought of Fall scents and colors is getting me through to the end of Summer!

My crocheted tiara – My girlfriend runs a blog and Etsy store called Imperial Crochet and I really wanted to show off her work (she’s amazing) so do stop by her blog and Etsy Store as she’s got some really nice crocheted items including the tiara I’m wearing.

Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb – Big Blue delivers a burst of color and scent that will fill your bathroom with Lavender and Lemon, but the thing I like best is the seaweed. You get Arame Seaweed and Seaweed Absolute in Big Blue which makes for a soothing bath experience.

GlamGlow SUPERCLEANSE – This cleanser dissolves oil & makeup, rinsing away pore-clogging debris, impurities & excess oil.

NEW Julep So Plush Ultra-Hydrating Lip Gloss – The Julep So Plush Ultra-Hydrating Lip Gloss comes in 8 shades — I got Mood which is a nice light pink.

bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder – The bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder duo has two large pans of pressed powder — one is matte and the other is glow.

NUDESTIX Magnetic Matte Lip Color in Rose – I love this beautiful matte stick, it’s the perfect Fall color for me.

Doucce Maxlash Volumizer Mascara – This makes my bottom lashes pop! I love it.

Adoratherapy Vitality Chakra Boost – This product has “essential oils, absolutes, and gem and flower essences, in a base of organic Jojoba blends” and I have to say that it really does have a relaxing effect.

Bath & Body Works NEW Shapeable Soap – The Shapeable Soap comes in an aerosol can (like shaving cream) and either squirts out in thin ribbons or a mound if you hold the can close to your hand.

Bath & Body Works Soap! This is from last year but I’m using it now and can’t wait for Fall.

bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Review

I received a full-sized bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder in my Boxycharm July 2017 box and I am thrilled! I’ve been wanting this set since last year but never got around to getting it.

What’s to love?

The bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder duo has two large pans of pressed powder — one is matte and the other is glow.

Now I’ve seen that this product get mixed reviews but it really works perfectly with my fair skin. The matte powder works to give me a nice non-greasy look (I have oily skin) and the glow gives me a beautiful light shimmer that I love, it is infused with rose gold pearls and is super silky and light too.

Both powders also to a great job at minimizing my pores and lasts about 4-5 hours for me. Overall I am thrilled with this product!

Price: $32

bareMinerals Get Started Complexion Kit Review

A few weeks ago I picked up the bareMinerals Get Started Complexion Kit in fairly light and I thrilled with it!

I know bareMinerals has been around forever and I’ve gotten other brands of mineral make-up but I never got an actual bareMinerals kit. Now that I have one it’s a staple!

What’s to love?

First I love the kits. You basically get a smaller version of each product so that you can try it out but I imagine this kit will last a good couple of months because you use such a small amount.

I also love that you get a high quality brush. I really think all kits should come with a brush!

Everything comes in this really cool zip close pack with a mirror so you can use this as travel bag too.

What’s in the kit?

Aside from the brush you get…

Prime Time Original Foundation Primer – This clear liquid gel applies as a primer for under your make-up. I can take or leave primer as my face is oily I tend to not use them. This one is non-oily and does have plant extracts, antioxidants and vitamins.

BareMinerals Original Foundation Broad Spectrum SPF 15  – This is the staple of the kit and of the bareMinerals line. It’s a super fine mineral powder that you apply to your face. I love this powder. I use it under my make-up for a beautiful oil free finish.

You also get the Matte version of this foundation – I like to switch back and forth depending on the day.

Mineral Veil – The Mineral Veil is my favorite product in the kit. I use this light powder all over for a super smooth look. It really does minimize the look of my pores too. I will definitely be getting the full size product soon.

Eye Color – Honey Blossom – I like to apply bareMinerals eye color with a brush. It’s super light and looks luminescent and beautiful. Honey Blossom has specks of gold and looks amazing alone with just a bit of black mascara!

So overall I love this kit and have been using at least some part of it everyday. I will be trying more bareMinerals soon!
