Bath & Body Works Fall 2017 Champagne Apple & Honey Review

I am so excited that Bath & Body Works is now selling their Fall 2017 line up. They have 5 scents (3 are new and 2 are from last year…I think). First up on my list to review is the Champagne Apple & Honey.

ah.jpg

What’s to love?

Champagne Apple & Honey has a blend of Pink Lady Apple, Sparkling Champagne & Jasmine Honey and the formula is made with pure honey.

To me this one smells pretty much like straight on fall apple with a hint of sugar. The Jasmine Honey is light and this is not a floral scent. I love that Bath & Body Works has such authentic apple scents.

Champagne Apple & Honey so far comes in Body Cream, Fine Fragrance Mist, Shower Gel and my new favorite the Whipped Body Butter. As you can see in the photo above the Whipped Body Butter packaging is so cute with a pop-up apple cut-out on the front. These are going to make great gifts!

Bring on Fall!

I did a big Bath & Body Works Fall haul today and created a YouTube video so do take a look!

da Bomb Bath Fizzers Review & Demo

One of my YouTube Subscribers told me that there were some cool bath bombs at Hot Topic so I decided to check them out and I’m so glad I did. The da Bomb Bath Fizzers are amazing and have a great story. I created a video review and demo too so that you can see a da Bomb Bath Fizzer melt and the prize inside.

db1.jpg

What’s to love?

First off this company is so cool. It was started in 2012 by two sisters who were 10 and 11 at the time. They wanted a Bath Bomb with a surprise inside and since none existed they created their own.

The Bath Bombs are so nice too. They come in a bunch of colors and scents. I got Party Bomb (Pineapple), Candy Bomb (Cotton Candy) and Earth Bomb (Sea Breeze).

They also come in Beach Bomb (Mango), Galaxy Bomb (Black Amber), Cherry Bomb (Cherry), Ninja Bomb (Tangerine), Bug Bomb (Eucalyptus), Bling Bomb (Blueberry), “F” Bomb (Lavender),  Cake Bomb (Butter Cream), Treasure Bomb, Sporty Bomb, Quote Bomb (Fresh Basil), Fortune Telling Bomb (Fresh Berry), Hero Bomb (Grape), Love Bomb (Gardenia) and Groovy Bomb (Flower Power).

The bath bomb itself is a tightly compacted round ball with toppings like sprinkles and sugar. They have great fizz when they melt and the smell is amazing. I tried out the Party Bomb Pineapple and it smells very natural and soft. The water turned a light yellow and didn’t stain but like any bath bomb the tub gets a bit slippery.

The cool part of these bath bombs is that there’s a collectable prize inside. You can see what I got in my video.

The da Bomb Bath Fizzers are also Made in the USA and have a very short ingredient list which I love including: Baking Soda, Citric Acid, food grade PEG, fragrance. They also may contain sugar topping, cosmetic grade pigment and/or mica.

I feel like tweens and teens would love these bath bombs and they would make a great gift.

Check out my da Bomb Bath Fizzers Review and Demo and see what my prize was!

Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath with Pure Epsom Salt Review

I am having a garage sale this week so I’ve been using the Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath with Pure Epsom Salt for my back and I’m loving it! This sample came in one of my Target boxes and I’m going to need more.

What’s to love?

I’ve used Epsom Salt crystals in the past but now I’m really like the foaming variety. The Dr. Teal’s Foaming formula feels more spa-like. It’s a Epsom Salt bubble bath that smells amazing. The scent of this one is call ed Smooth and Sleep and it’s got a relaxing lavender smell.

The clear formula rinses clean and leaves me feeling so relaxed and pain free.

Dr. Teal’s Foaming Bath with Pure Epsom Salt also comes in…

  • Relax and Relief which is Eucalyptus and Spearmint
  • Detoxify & Energize which is Ginger & Clay

The Eucalyptus and Spearmint is next on my list to try.

Bath & Body Works Bath Fizzy Review & Demo

Today I picked up 5 of the brand new Bath & Body Works Bath Fizzies for a review and demo.

These Fizzy Bath Bombs are new to Spring 2017 and so far come in: A Thousand Wishes, Japanese Cherry Blossom, Love & Sunshine, Pretty As A Peach, Beautiful Day and Magic In The Air, Hello Beautiful, Endless Weekend and Sweet Pea. They are so pretty too.

bf.jpg

What’s to love?

I really love bath bombs so I was curious to check out the new ones from Bath & Body Works because they have a few of the upscale elements like the crystals.

The bath bombs are wrapped in two layers of plastic so it’s hard to tell the scent in the store but once I got them home I found them to be very similar to their line scents, for example Japanese Cherry Blossom smells just like the lotion.

These are a Sodium Bicarbonate bath bombs with citric acid, sodium chloride, canola oil, shea butter and coconut oil. They also have fragrance and color. I did find that they made my hands very soft and fragrant.

I compared them to Lush a bit in my video below (and made a glorious mess…it’s hard to demo a bath bomb in a small container) but overall I think these fizzies are nice for the price.

Lush is definitely more high end to me as they are handmade and contain a lot of the natural herbs and scents however I really loved the smell and feel of these too. If you’re a fan of the Bath & Body Works scents I think you’ll probably love these bath fizzies.

In my demo the fizz was very concentrated…I also tried one out in the bath tub too. They do seem to have a lot of fizz to them which makes me think they might have a higher level of Sodium Bicarbonate. They fizz is pretty spectacular and fun as are the colors. Japanese Cherry Blossom is pink, Love & Sunshine is a gorgeous yellow and the Pretty As A Peach is pretty much clear except for the peach crystals.

Overall I definitely like these bath fizzies and they make a great gift if you pair them up with a scent line too. My MIL loves A Thousand Wishes so I’m getting her a baskets of these products for Mother’s Day and it will be fun to include the bath fizzy.

The Bath & Body Works Fizzy Bath Bombs retail for $6.95 but they always have some sort of sale and I got $10 off $30.

Ulta Smooth Exfoliating Body Scrub Review

I just got back from Day 1 of the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale and one of the things I picked up is the Ulta Smooth Exfoliating Body Scrub in Coconut & Almond Milk. This is a Hot Buy and I paid $6 (originally $19.50) so I was excited to get the deal.

What’s to love?

I didn’t even know Ulta made this scrub until today. It was right at the front door as a Hot Buy so I picked one up and it smells amazing, just like dessert. It comes in 4 scents and all of them smell so good.

  • Sea Mist + White Flower – Pamper Luxe
  • Lavender + Berries – Soothe Luxe
  • Verbena + Lemon Grass – Refresh Luxe
  • Coconut +Almond Milk – Nourish Luxe

The formula for this scrub is amazing. I tested it out on my hands and the walnut shells gives just the right about of exfoliation. It also has Shea Butter, Aloe, Green Tea & Vitamins A, C, E and D to smooth. After I was done my hands felt so soft and not greasy at all.

Overall I am so impressed with this scrub and I really want the Lavender +Berries one too so I might just be heading back to Ulta this week while they are on sale.

This product is free of Parabens, Gluten, DEA, Phthalates and it’s Made in the USA.

I also did a video about my Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Picks.

Lush Easter Bunch Of Carrots Bubble Bar Review

As part of my Lush Easter haul I picked up the Lush Easter Bunch Of Carrots Bubble Bar which is a super cute “bunch” of three carrots with embedded greens.

What’s to love?

The Lush Bunch of Carrots comes with three carrots in orange, purple and pink. The three carrots smell the same, they are just different colors.

The main ingredient is Buchu Oil which comes from a shrub gives off a very strong blackcurrant aroma. These also have Lemon Oil and Bergamot Oil. The scent is a very earthy citrusy smell and while it’s nice it’s not my favorite Lush scent. The bubbles are pretty good but tend to disappear fast.

Overall I really love this product because it’s so cute and makes Easter gift.

To use the Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar you can either grab one full carrot by the top and run under the water or I like to cut my carrots into three pieces to get more for my money. A small piece give a decent amount of bubbles.

Money saving tip – If you just want a bubble bar I recommend getting The Comforter which costs $11.95 for 7 oz. of product, the carrots are $12.95 for 5.2 oz. of product however they are insanely cute and make great Easter gift. It just depends what you’re looking for.

Check out the Lush Bunch of Carrots in my Lush 2017 Easter YouTube Video.

Bath & Body Works CocoShea Cucumber Collection Review

I am loving the new Bath & Body Works CoCoShea line which consists of 3 scents. Honey, Cucumber and Coconut.

I picked up 2 products from the Cucumber line today and all I can say is…wow, these are fresh.

cc

What’s to love?

The cucumber line really does smell so fresh. I think this one is going to be my new Summer favorite. Here’s what’s in the line.

CocoShea Cucumber Really Refreshing Aloe Gel Lotion – This product is a lotion/gel with a very soothing consistency and because it’s got aloe I can see that it will be great for sunburns too. It has Cocoa Extract, Shea Butter Extract and Cucumber Water and the formula is very light weight. It feels a bit slippery when you first apply it, but then it gets silky. I’m also wondering if it would feel even more refreshing after a little while in the refrigerator.

cg

CocoShea Cucumber Really Refreshing Foaming Scrub – I am such a fan of scrubs and this cucumber one is divine. It’s got a nice rough pumice for cleansing and the gel formula feels so smooth and nice. I used this one on my hand and now they feel so soft.

The CocoShea Cucumber line also includes: Body Lotion, Body Wash and All Over Mist.

Overall I am so excited about having a new cucumber product to add to my beauty routine. This one really is refreshing and cool. Ha! Cool as a cucumber.

CocoShea Honey Ultra Conditioning Sugar Scrub – The sugar scrub smells so amazing. It’s got a sweet honey scent but it’s a bit earthy too. The scrub has Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter and Pure Honey ands it’s supposed to moisturize, replenish, soften and smooth. I tried it on my had it it made my skin very soft.

ssh
