Beauty Reviews, Too Faced

The Too Faced Peach Collection Is Here!

Sweet Peaches! I want some Too Faced peach eye shadow and blush and lipstick! The new Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection has 18 gorgeous shades and is on my after Christmas list! The shimmery shades consist of “peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and pops of purples” which just happen to be my favorite colors.

Here’s a picture I snapped at Sephora!

This $49 palette is getting great reviews and I can’t wait to try it. Too Faced is one of my favorite brands and this peach set looks amazing.

Too Faced also has an entire Sweet Peach Glow Peach-Infused Highlighting Palette. This palette consists of three shades including  an illuminator, blush and bronzer.

They also have Peach lip color too and Jerrod Blandino the Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Too Faced Cosmetics is having an Instagram contest to win this amazing peach set which I really, really want!

Bonnie’s November Beauty Favorites

I decided to start a monthly “Favorites” post to share some of my favorite go-to products for the month. I feel like there is a Fall theme in these products. Here are my favorites for November!

n

Bath & Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte Ultra Shea Body Cream – This cream has been my daily favorite for November. It’s smells amazing and more than one person has asked me what I was wearing. Time to put it away tomorrow in favor of Magic In The Air for Christmas.

Lush Mask of Magnaminty – I love this minty kaolin mask for Fall. It’s done wonders on my dry skin. I reviewed it in June and it’s still a favorite.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Amulet – I can’t get enough of this bronzey metallized shade. It’s perfect for Fall and has a Harry Potter feel to it. Here’s my full review.

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara – I love the big bold lashes I get from this mascara. It’s very luxurious. Here’s my full review.

NYX Bright Idea Illuminating Stick – I’ve been using this NYX Illuminating stick almost everyday. I just put a touch above my cheeks for a bright look. Here’s my full reviewfull review.

Clinique Cubby Stick in Lots ‘O Latte – When I don’t have time for full eye make-up I just applied a little of this eye tint for a beautiful look. Here’s my full reviewfull review.

Laura Geller Baked Blush in Pink Grapefruit – More Laure Geller Baked products are on my Christmas wish list. This blush is a beauty! Here’s my full review.

Borghese Eclissare Color Eclipse ColorGlass Lip Gloss – I use this for a touch of shine when I got out! Here’s my full review.

Here are my favorites on my face (minus the Borghese Gloss). I literally did a 3-minute make-over after spending the day raking up the November leaves!

bb6

Coastal Scents Blush and Highlighter Duo – I always get excited when I get make-up samples in my Birchbox and this duo from Costal Scents is nice with great pigmentation and coverage.

Full Sized Price: $19.95

bb8.jpg

Bumble and bumble Hairdresser’s Oil – This is another pricey product that I’m curious to try. It’s supposed to be “light-as-air” while leaving hair smooth and shiny. I’ll take that!

October 2016 Sephora Play Box Review

*Spoiler Alert! I’m showcasing the October 2016 Sephora Play Box today. The Sephora Play Box costs $10/month and you have to sign up to get invited.

s1

What’s inside the October 2016 Sephora Play Box!

This month is called “The Cool Cut” and the bag says “Lipstix & Chill” and I was a bit confused this month. Tip if you get this box…read everything!

s2

Christope Robin Regenerating Mask –  I was totally sure this was a face mask until I started this blog post but lo and behold it’s a hair mask! Good thing I read about it. This mask as Rare Prickly Pear Seed Oil which sounds cool and it smells great. So hair…it goes on the hair! Full-Sized Price: $71.

s3.jpg

Farmacy Skin Dew – I really need to start trying these hydrating sprays out. This one is “A versatile hydrating essence mist that tones the skin, restores radiance and sets makeup.” Full-Sized Price: $44

s4.jpg

Mon Paris by Yves Saint Laurent  – Yves Saint Laurent reminds me of the ’80’s and this scent does smell nice. Very fruity and it comes in the cutest little spray bottle you’ve ever seen so 2 thumbs up for this one. Full-Sized Price: $122

s9

Smashbox Always  On Matte Liquid Lipstick – I’ve tried this formula before and it’s a nice matte lipstick. This one is called Driver’s Seat. Full-Sized Price: $24

s8.jpg

erborian Bamboo Creme – This creme is more of a gel and it smells really nice and earthy. It’s supposed to hydrate your skin. Full-Sized Price: $43

The Estée Edit Flash Photo Gloss – This product mystified me! I wasn’t sure if it went on your teeth or lips. It’s actually a white gloss that’s infused with “cool blue pearls” to bring out your smile. It’s supposed to smell like vanilla but my has very little scent. I did try it on and it looks like clear sticky lip gloss to me. Full-Sized Price: $20

Overall I give this month a 9/10 only because I was so confused! Good thing I didn’t put the Flash Photo Gloss on my teeth! I did feel like I got a lot of high-end product this month so that was good.

October 2016 Birchbox Review

*Spoiler Alert! I’m showcasing the October 2106 Birchbox (this is my Birchbox referral code) today.

bb

I am very happy with the October Birchbox selection this month. This box was worth it just for the GlamGlow! I also love the colorful box design.

bb2

Here’s what I got this month…

bb3

GlamGlow POWERMUD Dualcleanse Treatment – I am a fanatic about the entire GlamGlow line so anytime I get a sample I am thrilled because GlamGlow is pricey. As soon as I got my October Birchbox I tried out the POWERMUD and I loved it. It made my face noticeably smoother and brighter. I seriously need a GlamGlow budget!  Full-Sized Price: $69.

bb4.jpg

Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo – This is a dry shampoo from Oribe. It looks interesting and I’m curious about trying it. Full-Sized Price: $44.

bb4.jpg

Avene Hydrance Optimate Hydrating Cream RICH – Birchbox had the Avene Spring Water in the September Box and I should try these products in the same week. This is a rich hydrating creme. Full-Sized Price: $32.

bb5

This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray – Tip here! Open this bottle VERY carefully. I pulled on the cap and flung almost the entire product across the room. Not my entire living room smells like lavender and chamomile which is nice but a bit strong. Full-Sized Price: $29

ww6.jpg

MAKE Silk Cream Lipstick in Magnolia – This has got to be the cutest lipstick I have ever seen. While I have never heard of this brand I’ll certainly use this one. Full-Sized Price: $25

Overall I give the October Birchbox a 9.5 out of 10. I feel like this was an awesome box with the GlamGlow, MAKE Lipstick sample and Avene.

Beauty Reviews, Milk Makeup

Milk Makeup Highlighter Review

I was so excited to get a Milk Makeup sample from Birchbox. I’ve been wanting to try this brand for ages. I just tested out the Milk Makeup Highlighter and I’m super impressed and looking so much brighter.

m2.jpg

What’s to love?

This shimmery highlighter really packs a punch! I feel like this product is super versatile and effective on older skin like mine.

I did have a hard time doing a swatch because the product is so light and sheer in photos but it looks amazing in person.

The color is a goldish beige called “Lit” and it’s got lots of shimmer and sparkle (but not too much sparkle). It smells a bit like suntan lotion with vanilla and it rolls on super smooth. I feel like I got a very natural glow and that my skin looks so much brighter and younger.

It’s definitely a subtle look but very pretty. Next up I really want to try their Holographic Stick.

Full Sized Price is $24.

Fall 2016 Beautycon Box Review

Today I got my second Beautycon Box and I want to share the contents. This box was curated by MakeupShayla & Angel Merino and is called “Fall Essentials”.

bc.jpg

The Beautycon box is $29.00 plus shipping and comes out quarterly. My first box was the Summer 2016 box by Kandee Johnson which included the Redken Fashion Waves 07Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing OilNYX Ombre Lip DuoNYX Jumbo Eye Pencil and Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara.

I do feel like this box was geared a little more for the under 25 crowd but there’s still plenty of stuff I’m excited to try out.

One nice thing about Beautycon is that you get a few full-sized products in the box.

Here’s what I got in the Fall 2016 Box.

The BrowGal Double Ended Highlighter Pencil –  This neat highlighter pencil can be used on brows or anywhere on your face. You get a gold and nude side. Price: $20.

DUO – Lash Adhesive – I have to admit I have never worn false eyelashes so this one is new for me! Full-Sized price $5.99.

Flutter Lashes – iStay Lashes – False eyelashes scare me a bit but I’m willing to try them out! Price $9.95.

Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer – This lip enhancer is supposed to increase fulness and reduce fine lines which could be great for us over 40 girls! Full-Sized price $16.

Laser Kitten – Sweetheart Lipstick Pin – A super cute pin to gift to a girl! Price $12.

Luxie Beauty Luxie Large Angled 504 Brush – This is my favorite item in the box. I am always on the look-out for a new brush and this one looks awesome and it gets great reviews. Price $16.

Milani Cosmetics – Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow – I have the Milani Gel Powder in Bella Copper, this one is Bella Caffe and I’m excited to try this shade. Price $4.99.

Mystic Tan – Mocha-Kyssed Bronzer Lotion – This is a sunless tanning lotion for the body. I thought this was an odd choice for Fall, but I live in a cooler climate. I’m not a huge fan of tanning lotions so this one will probably get gifted. Full-Sized price $35.

OFRA Cosmetics – Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick – I have never heard of this brand but it’s supposed to be on the higher end. It smells like cookies!  Price $19.90

Simple – Cleansing Facial Wipes – This is a sample pack of 7 wipes that are “kind to skin”. I’m excited to try these. Full-Sized price $5.99.

Sugarfina – Sugar Lips – Cute candy lips coated in sugar! Price $2.50.

You also get a cute sticker pack.

If you add up the box using the full-sized prices it comes to $148.32, so with the couple of smaller sample sizes I’d say the box with worth the $100 that Beautycon claims. It’s a great selection to try and and I’m excited to review some of the products.

a10.jpg

Bulgari Omnia Coral – This is the only item that I’m kind of “meh” about. I’m not a big perfume wearer and this was the Allure free welcome gift so I have plenty. I give this months box a 9 only because of the perfume. I’m excited to try all of the other items and plan on doing full reviews.

s3.jpg

Clean Reserve Parfum – This scent is way to strong for me. It’s a really bold clean scent but STRONG! Full-Sized Price: $90.00
