BECCA Luminous Blush Review

I am so excited to have gotten my hands on the BECCA Luminous Blush in Snapdragon. This shimmery powder looks amazing on my skin and in the January snow!

This beautiful blush comes in 6 colors including Camellia (pink), Tigerlily (gold), Foxglove (dark pink), Snapdragon (coral), Blushed Copper (copper) and Dhalia (violet).

What’s to love?

I feel like this one is going to be my go-to daily blush for Spring.

First up, I love the BECCA packaging. It’s a nice heavy compact with a hard rubberized edge and gunmetal center. It feels like a quality case.

The product itself is so nice too. The thing I love most about the BECCA Luminous Blush is how blendable it is. I don’t need a lot on my brush to give me the perfect cheek color. It’s very pigmented and looks amazing on my over 40 skin. I find that it illuminates my face without looking too intense or garish. I am truly in love with this blush! It feels like silk on my skin.

I’ve talked a lot about my love of drug store and high end cosmetics here on this blog and I will say that a blush like this is well worth the investment for me in terms of quality. To me it’s the difference between a nice department store purse and a Prada purse. Even though the department store purse is nice, the Prada purse wins hands down!

Happy New Year! Here Are My Top Beauty Buys Of 2016!

I can’t believe it’s Dec. 31st. I started beauty blogging on June 10th of 2016 and have blogged every single day which feels amazing. Looking back over this past year I’ve found 10 “can’t live without” beauty products that I want to share today on my Best of Beauty list for 2016. Enjoy and Happy New Year!

bestof2016

Number One – GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

I had never heard of GlamGlow before starting my blog but now I’m addicted! The YouthMud Tinglexfoliate does wonders on my skin. It burns a little upon application but I swear I look a few years younger when I wipe it off! It’s a bit pricey but completely worth it!

Number Two – Tarte Swamp Queen Palette by Grav3YardGirl

My entire family is delighted by Bunny, her reviews crack me up and her silly spirit always puts me in a good mood so when I saw she had a Tarte palette I had to get on board and I’m glad I did. This vanilla scented palette is simply gorgeous. Uncommon is my go-to shade and it blends perfectly with Mancat (I love that name too)!

Number ThreeLush!

Oh man! I truly can’t pick just one Lush product for my list. I literally love them all. The Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars, Shampoo Bars (these saved my hair), Masks…it’s just too hard to choose. I love Lush so much I even created a rather funny ode to Luscius Malfoy this year – If Lucius Malfoy Shopped At Lush…

Number Four – Urban Decay Full Frontal Reloaded Vice Lipstick Set

I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick. This product stays in place has amazing pigmentation and is one of my favorites. So when this little 5 pack set went on sale I grabbed it up!

BECCA Backlight Priming Filter Review

I think I have finally found the perfect primer for my skin type. Awhile I got a sample of the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter and after a few weeks of use I bought the full-sized bottle for $38.

What’s to love?

This primer is one of the lightest weight ones that I have tried. It almost feels like a mousse. You use a pumper to dispense the product and I usually use a dime sized dot on my entire face.

It gives me a nice luminous glow while making my face a more even tone. I then apply my make-up on top. This formula just works perfectly with my fair combination skin. It never makes my skin oily and I feel more moisturized when wearing it.

It does have a very slight floral fragrance but it does not bother me at all. I also love the cool gunmetal top on the packaging.

Becca Blushed with Light Palette Review

Well I ventured out to Sephora today and found a few Black Friday sale gifts and the limited-edition Becca Blushed with Light Palette for $17 which I had to get for myself.

What’s to love?

I’m on a Becca kick and this blush really caught my eye, it’s beautiful! You get 3 gorgeous shades that are the Luminous Blush Snapdragon, Mineral Blush in Songbird and Wisteria which is exclusive to this palette and my favorite color. It’s a pinky coral that has a slight shimmer to it. A tiny bit of product gives great coverage and the 3 shades are blendable and buildable. The Mineral Blush in Songbird is great for contoring too.

I love how light-weight and flawless this Becca blush set is and the brand is becoming a fast favorite for me. I need to try their eye shadow next. I feel like this line was made for people over 40.

The palette is also free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.
