Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush Review

I received a Pretty Vulgar Make Them Blush in Hush Blush in my March 2018 Boxycharm Box and it’s so pretty! I am a huge fan of the Pretty Vulgar line, in the December 2017 Boxycharm Box I got the Pretty Vulgar My Lips Are Sealed Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick.

Pretty Vulgar is  “a vintage makeup line, that was created by a collective flock of cosmetics industry veterans, innovators and makeup artists who wanted to create a brand that embodies the fact that people are beautiful multifaceted contradictions“.

What’s to love?

First up the packaging is amazing! The blush case has a Victorian feel. The case looks like an old gold picture frame.

The blush itself is a dusty rose shade and feels super smooth on my skin. This one appears to have sheer texture and is nicely pigmented. I am loving this blush!

Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold – Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush Review

I received a Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold – Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush in my February 2018 Ipsy Bag.

First up this product is…

  •       99% Natural
  •       Vegan
  •       No Mineral Oil
  •       No Parabens
  •       No Phthalates
  •       Gluten-Free

What’s to love?

What I love most about this blush is that it feels light and airy on my face. I hardly feel like I’m wearing it all and it give me a bit of shimmer from the “micro gold frosting”. The color is a pinky-coral and looks great with my fair skin too.

I also love that the main ingredients is corn starch! I feel like the corn starch formula gives my face a nice smooth appearance and it does not look cakey at all.

I think this may be my new favorite blush for Spring!

Beautaniq Beauty Blush Serum Review

I received a Beautaniq Beauty Blush Serum in my July 2017 Birchbox. It’s a liquid lip and cheek color with some serious color!

What’s to love?

This is a really neat cheek and lip product that at first I thought was way too pink. I have the Sunrise shade but it also comes in Sunset which is more coral.

However after I tried it the color worked out really well. On my lips it looks like a soft pink, it works kind of like a lip gloss/balm rather than a full on lipstick. It also tinted my cheek and made them look fresh and rosy pink.

One of the main ingredients is Apricot fruit extract which is supposed to soften skin.

Overall I’m super impressed with this product and I’d like to try more from Beautaniq Beauty. They don’t have a lot of products yet but their masks look nice.

Beautaniq Beauty is a plant-based skincare brand that has…

  • No parabens, PEGS, or phthalates
  • No sulphates
  • No mineral oil, no DEA or TEA
  • 100% Cruelty-Free – our products are not tested on animals
  • 100% vegan – our products do not contain animal ingredients
  • Created for sensitive skin – where we can we don’t include synthetic fragrances or alcohol in our skincare range

Beauty Reviews, Trifle Cosmetics

Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple – Ombré Radiance Blush Palette Review

I am super excited that I got to try the Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple – Ombré Radiance Blush Palette from my July Ipsy Glam Bag.

Trifle Cosmetics is this super cute company that has a lot of delicious looking products and they are 100% Cruelty-Free, Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben Free and they use Recyclable Packaging Printed With Soy Ink. Their Sugar Bunny Heavenly Lip Scrub looks so good too!

First up packaging is really cute with colorful graphics on the outer package (it reminds me of the Balm a bit) and the case is black with hot pink lettering.

The blush itself is cute but small and at first I thought this was a sample size however on their website it says Poids Net Wt. 3g / 0.11 oz. for $17.95 and that’s the size I received in my Ipsy bag, so it is on the small size.

The blush itself is very pretty and pigmented. You get 3 light-enhancing shades in a light pink, a pink/coral and darker pink shade on the right which has “pure Resveratrol to help give color, moisture & reduce hyperpigmentation“.

I do wish this palette was fruit or cookie scented, I think it would fit with their brand. To me this blush has a but of a strong earthy scent.

I think this is a nice blush but it’s a but on the pricey side for me.

According to their site it also has…

  • No Mineral Oils
  • No Phthalates
  • Fragrance-Free
  • No Parabens
  • With Resveratrol to assist in keeping skin hydrated and healthy
  • With Coated Colour Pigments for 8 hours of wear
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

Beauty Reviews, Cargo Cosmetics

Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Water Resistant Blush Review

I received a Cargo Cosmetics Swimmables Water Resistant Blush in my July 2017 Allure Beauty Box. I have the Bali (Medium Rose Pink) shade but it also comes in Ibiza (Shimmering Hot Pink) and Los Cabos (Soft Tangerine).

What’s to love?

First up I love the tin that this blush comes in. It’s sturdy and fits perfectly in my purse.

The blush itself is a powder that feels like a cream to me thanks to the Silicone-coated pigments which also help withstand water for extended wear.

It also has…

L-Lysine, an amino acid found naturally in the skin, helps increase the blush’s long-wearing and water-resistant properties.

I love how this formula looks on my face. It’s smooth and did hold up well in the pool. I didn’t dive or anything, but did get splashed.

It is on the pricey side at $26 though.

Beauty Reviews, LORAC

The LORAC Beauty and the Beast collection is amazing!

As if the LORAC Pirates of the Caribbean wasn’t amazing enough LORAC has topped it with the Beauty and the Beast collection which I really, really want. I saw this collection today at Kohl’s and snapped a few pics.

The collection consists of…

  • Disney Beauty and the Beast PRO Eye Shadow Palette $48.00
  • Disney Beauty and the Beast Cheek Collection $28,00
  • Disney Beauty and the Beast Lip Collection $36.00

I love that the Eye Shadow Palette has a nice selection of romantic shades like pink and the shade names are so Disney too!

Shades:

  • Dream It
  • Time Keeper
  • Our Guest
  • Impress
  • Beast Mode
  • Enchanting
  • Swept Up
  • Look Beyond
  • My Castle
  • Chip In
  • Romance
  • Spell Breaker
  • Inner Beauty
  • Tea Time
  • Tick Tock
  • Real You

I also love that the lip collection is only $36 for 5 shades which I feel is a much better deal than the Pirate of the Caribbean lip duos which were $26 each.

So I am definitely budgeting for the PRO Eye Shadow Palette or waiting for it to go on sale. I am really loving this collection!

The Beauty Crop Blush Duo Review

I received The Beauty Crop Blush Duo in my June 2017 Birchbox and it’s super nice. I got The Beauty Crop Fabulous Flocking Lashes Mascara in May and really like this brand.

What’s to love?

The Beauty Crop Duo comes in 3 shades: Fig It, Mauce-ulous and Papaya Don’t Peach which I have. The formula is fragrance and mineral oil-free and it has kale, aronia berry, pomegranate and papaya.

This duo has a cream side and a powder side. I really like the cream side. It’s very pigmented and the coral-pink color is so pretty and it applies very nicely. The powder is a bit on the harder side but it actually makes for a good eye shadow for me. It’s got a nice shimmer too.

Overall I really like this duo and would like to try a more pinky shade like Fig It.

The Beauty Crop products are also 100% cruelty-free.

Full-Sized Price: $10

Julep Your Happy Look Pore-Minimizing Blush Review

I chose the Julep Your Happy Look Pore-Minimizing Blush as a “swap” item in my June Julep box and I am really impressed. This is my first experience with Julep make-up.

What’s to love?

First up the packaging is nice with a quality black compact that opens up to a square pan of product and good mirror. There is no brush with this one.

The blush comes in 4 shades: Peach Bellini, Petal Pink, Clover Pink and Rosewood. I have the Clover Pink.

j5

I’ve been using this Pore-Minimizing Blush now for about a week and I love it. The formula looks amazing on my over 40 skin. It gives me a beautiful sheer glowy look that does seem to minimize my pores (it is a mineral-based blush). I like this blush equally as much as the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Blush.

The muted pink with a light gold undertone looks great on my fair complexion and I can build on it with a little highlighter if I want. I would definitely place this as a higher end blush.

Now I can’t wait for July and I want to try more Julep make-up products!

Retail Price: $24, $19.20 Maven
