Borghese Eye Shadow Quad and Bronzer Highlighter Duo Review

The second thing I want to review from my Borghese gift set are the Eye Shadow Quad and Bronzer Highlighter Duo. These are from the Borghese Ready to Wear Fall 2016 Color Collection.

First I want to say that I’ve been using Borghese since 1986 when they were Princess Marcella Borghese. The only issue I have with this set is that it was Made in Taiwan which surprised me a great deal because I thought all of Borghese was Made in Italy. I also just checked my Liquid Eyeliner and Mascara and they were Made in the USA.

What’s to love?

Eyeshadow Quad – I love the colors in this set. The shades are beige, a rusty orange, purple and gold. All four of the colors are a metallic shimmer and have great pigmentation. They are very smooth and fine powders too. One cool thing about this palette is that you can mix the colors with a brush because there are no separate pans.

Bronzer Highlighter Duo – This duo consists of a shimmery cream and a bronze powder. I am in love with the cream because it’s the exact shade that I need for my fair skin. It looks so bright and pretty on my fair skin. The bronzer is a bit dark for me but it’s still a beautiful color.

I am very happy with both products, they are a nice addition to my Fall collection.

Price: I paid $11.80 f0r this entire set because Borghese had a 40% off sales and I got free shipping which was amazing.

Borghese Eclissare Color Eclipse ColorGlass Lip Gloss Review

I got a super cool Borghese gift pack this week on sale with some nice make-up items I’ve been wanting. First up is the Eclissare Color Eclipse ColorGlass Lip Gloss in Brightside. This one retails for $21.50.

What’s to love?

This super shiny lip gloss is going in my holiday collection. Eclissare Color Eclipse ColorGlass Lip Gloss  is the shiniest lip gloss I have ever owned and while I wouldn’t wear it every day it looks really pretty for special occasions.

The Brightside shade is basically clear with major glitter and shimmer. The photo does not do it justice. You can wear alone or over a color for more shine. The product makes my lips look like glass and you do need a few coats to achieve this look.

The gloss smells like peaches which is kind of cool and it is a true gloss, meaning that it feels a bit sticky. If you’re used to lip gloss it’s normal but if you’ve been wearing mattes it might feel a bit strange at first. I personally love the feel, I think it hydrates my lips.

Overall I give this product a 10 for the amazing shine.

Borghese B Lip Gloss Review

The Borghese B Lip Gloss is super pigmented and beautiful. I got this full-sized product as part of a gift set and it’s called Shimmer Berry.

b

What’s to love?

The Borghese B Lip Gloss is a great formula with plenty of pigmentation and shine. One thing about Borghese is that sometimes they include colors in their gift sets that you can’t buy individually and this is one of them.

Shimmer Berry is perfect for Fall and holiday events and I like to wear a little of this if I’m going out for dinner or a party. It’s got full on shimmer in the form a tiny, tiny gold specks and is a rich burgundy (with a hint a pink tone) shade.

This lip gloss is on the thicker side so I need to do a little clean up around the edges or wear a good liner. I love the shine I get from this gloss and it feels nice on my lips, it’s very moisturizing for the cold weather. I also fell like this luminous color has good staying power for a gloss.

Borghese Cura di Vita Protettivo Protective Moisturizer SPF 15 Review

The Borghese Cura di Vita Protettivo Protective Moisturizer SPF 15 is a great Summer find and it smells amazing!

b

What’s to love?

Borghese is one of my tired and true products that I’ve been using for 30 years. This high quality face cream is one of the lightest I’ve used. It feels amazing on my skin and smells fresh and earthy. I truly love the smell of Borghese products.

This formula has Vitamins C and E and Squalane, Bisabolol and Hyaluronic Acid for moisturizing.

I spread a little on my face before I go to the pool or other outdoor sunny events for a little protection. I know you’re supposed to use a higher SPF but this one suits me fine.

I usually buy a Borghese Gift pack and get a bunch of products for a lower price. Just go to their website. Borghese also has amazing sales where sometimes you can get 30% or 40% off the Gift packs so I usually stock up when there is a sale.

Borghese Fango Active Mud Review

Today I tested out the Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body. I love the Borghese line and the Fango mud delivers a great face mask.

If you love clay mud masks you’re going to be crazy for the Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body. This green mud mask is a true clay mask that exfoliates and nourishes skin.

The mud is easy to apply, I applied a thick coating on my entire face and the smell is earthy with a light fragrance. I left the mask on until it was completely dry (about 15 minute). If you wiggle your nose after it drys it will crack like dirt which is an odd feeling.

I removed the mask with hot water using a wash cloth. Be aware that your wash cloth will turn green. It does take awhile to get this mask completely off your face and it’s a bit of a messy process. Once the product if off your skin does feel really soft and clean.

I would definitely use this mask again, it’s great for a deep clean.

If you’re looking to try out Fango get a gift set online when they are having a sale.

Borghese Gel Delicato Gentle Makeup Remover Review

Back in the 1980’s Borghese was Princess Marcella Borghese (who was an actual person). Marcella Borghese was friends with Revlon founder Charles Revson and he helped get her cosmetic line up an running. Later the company reorganized as just Borghese.

As a teen I LOVED their line. I was a huge fan of Duran Duran, Adam Ant and every other New Wave European artist on the planet and wearing Princess Marcella Borghese made us teenage girls feel like we were a part of that culture. So much fun.

Anyway, I still love using Borghese. Today it’s less about bold color and more earthy. I can immediately recognize the Borghese scent which to me smells like what I imagine a fine European Spa smells like, I can even picture Simon Lebon there (now that’s geeky).

One of the products I love is the  Gel Delicato Gentle Makeup Remover.

borghese

Gel Delicato is a thin gel that easily takes off makeup without leaving a residue. I don’t use this everyday, just when I’m wearing dark eyeshadow or mascara. It does the trick and leaves your face smooth and nice smelling.

Here’s a great tip for getting Borghese for less. They frequently have sales that offer 20% or 30% off. Wait until a sale and get a Gift Set with the discount which will give you a lot of products to try out. Their gift sets change frequently and I often get nice ones in the $10 range AND shipping is always free which I love.

Yes, and now I’ve got Duran Duran’s Girls on Film in my head.
