Lush Poisson d’Avril Bubble Bar Review – Easter 2018

The Lush Poisson d’Avril Bubble Bar is both a treat for Easter and April 1st and they happen to fall on the same day this year. Poisson d’Avril means (April fool, literally “Fish of April”) so that’s where is cute little fish came from! How cool is that.

What’s to love?

The Lush Poisson d’Avril Bubble Bar is a bright orange Koi fish and it smells really good! Much better than real fish. The scents include cinnamon leaf, spicy black pepper and neroli. It’s not as strong as I thought it would be and while it smells spicy there is a citrusy undertone.

It makes great bubbles too and has coconut oil and sunflower oil for smoothing skin. The water turns a nice light orange color in the tub too.

Lush Seven Deadly Spins Bubble Spinner Review Easter 2018

The Lush Seven Deadly Spins Bubble Spinner is an Easter 2018 treat that smells just like fresh oranges. It has Bergamot Oil and Litsea Cubeba Oil.

Also for me it looks like like the Golden Snitch from Harry Potter. I even photographed mine on a patch of moss that kind of looks like a Quidditch field. I’m thinking even Severus Snape would enjoy this one!

Aside from the cool Harry Potter reference I love how the Seven Deadly Spins Bubble Spinner has a layer of gold luster! The bubble bar spins on wooden post and creates some really fragrant yellow water and bubbles. I am really love these new Lush Bubble Spinners, they are so much fun.

Seven Deadly Spins is super unique and would make a neat treat for any Easter basket.

Lush Bubble Spinner Bubble Bar Review

I am so thrilled to have finally ordered from Lush UK. The order came to the US very quickly and the shipping was reasonable. My first UK product is the Lush Bubble Spinner Bubble Bar.

What’s to love?

The Bubble Spinner Bubble Bar is a real working spinner with a wooden rod in the center and it spins under the water while making loads of fluffy bubbles. The main scents are lemon and line and the bubble spinner is made up of 4 colors — pink, blue, yellow and white.

I also got the Dark Arts Jelly Bomb which I’ll be demoing soon for Lush Halloween 2017!

Lush “The Comforter” Bubble Bar is still my all-time favorite!

Last year on the 4th of July I reviewed “The Comforter” Bubble Bar from Lush because it reminds me a bit of fireworks with the swirly white and pink design…and I just wanted to revisit this amazing bubble bar because since last year I’ve purchased 7 of them! So needless to say this is one of my all time favorites.

What’s to love?

“The Comforter” is one of my favorite scents and it has Bergamot Oil (Citrus Aurantium bergamia), Cassis Absolute (Ribes nigrum), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens) and Limonene but to me it just smells fruity and, well comforting! Lush calls it —  blackcurrant candy. “The Comforter” also turns the tub water a light shade of pink and softens my skin so well.

I always cut these up into smaller pieces to make them last too.

What is YOUR all time favorites Lush Bubble Bar? Is that one you can’t live without?

Lush Milky Bath Bubble Bar Review

I am completely confounded with the Lush Milky Bath Bubble Bar because it gets amazing reviews and my mom and daughter like the scent but I’m just not loving this one.

The Milky Bath Bubble bar has Fair Trade Cocoa Butter, Orange Oil, Patchouli Oil and Citronellol which I think is the scent that is bothering me. Citronellol is a colorless liquid with a sweet, rose-like odor and I’m not a huge fan of roses.

I also think that I was expecting Milky Bath to smell like vanilla so when I smelled roses I was a little taken aback. I did melt a piece in the sink and it does perform like most Lush Bubble bars in giving off great bubbles and my hands did feel amazing. I just can’t get on board with the scent.

The lesson here is smell before you buy! I did order this one online before smelling it and while most of the Lush descriptive are spot on it does take an in person whiff to really get a sense of whether you’re going to love a product.

The good news is that this is only the second Lush product that hasn’t floated my boat. The other product was the Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser.

Does anyone else have an aversion to roses?

Lush Baa Bar Bubble Bar for Mother’s Day 2017

Ah, I am so in love with the new Lush Baa Bar Bubble Bar. This cute little sheep smells so good!

What’s to love?

This luscious Bubble Bar is not only cute but it smells good too. At first I thought it was straight Lavender but it’s actually got Bergamot Oil, Clove Bud Oil, Jasmine Absolute, Rose Absolute, Violet Leaf Absolute, Ylang Ylang Oil and Lavender Powder. It does smell very relaxing and the scent stayed with me.

The Baa Bar Bubble Bar is purple and white and I was surprised when I cut it in half that there was more purple. When I melted the purple part the bath water did turn a nice Lavender and the bubbles were pretty good.

Overall I think this one is very nice and would make an excellent Mother’s Day gift. It does come in the Best Friend’s Mother’s Day Gift too.

Lush Easter Bunch Of Carrots Bubble Bar Review

As part of my Lush Easter haul I picked up the Lush Easter Bunch Of Carrots Bubble Bar which is a super cute “bunch” of three carrots with embedded greens.

What’s to love?

The Lush Bunch of Carrots comes with three carrots in orange, purple and pink. The three carrots smell the same, they are just different colors.

The main ingredient is Buchu Oil which comes from a shrub gives off a very strong blackcurrant aroma. These also have Lemon Oil and Bergamot Oil. The scent is a very earthy citrusy smell and while it’s nice it’s not my favorite Lush scent. The bubbles are pretty good but tend to disappear fast.

Overall I really love this product because it’s so cute and makes Easter gift.

To use the Bunch of Carrots Bubble Bar you can either grab one full carrot by the top and run under the water or I like to cut my carrots into three pieces to get more for my money. A small piece give a decent amount of bubbles.

Money saving tip – If you just want a bubble bar I recommend getting The Comforter which costs $11.95 for 7 oz. of product, the carrots are $12.95 for 5.2 oz. of product however they are insanely cute and make great Easter gift. It just depends what you’re looking for.
