ChapStick DUO Review

ChapStick has a really cool new product available called the ChapStick DUO and it’s similar in shape to the EOS lip balm.

What’s to love?

The ChapStick DUO comes in Sweet Peach, Strawberry Kiwi, Tropical Pineapple, Refreshing Watermelon, Fresh Coconut, Vanilla Shimmer, Cool Mint and Berry Shimmer. I have the Refreshing Watermelon and it smells amazing.

The DUO part comes into play when you snap two flavors together which I just found out from the website. This way you can carry two flavors in one unit which is kind of cute.

The egg shaped top makes the lip balm very easy to apply and the formula is smooth and moisturizing.

Overall I like the new shape and I’ll probably pick up and flavor so that I have a proper DUO!

5 Favorite Drug Store Finds For January

Here are 5 drug store products that I’ve been using pretty regularly in January from Revlon, Maybelline, L’Oreal Covergirl and ChapStick.

I love adding drug store products to my collection as they are a great deal and quality products.

untitled

Revlon Kiss Lip Balm In Juicy Peach – This lip balm has been living in my purse. I use it for mid-day moisture and the peachy smell cheers me up.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment for Dark Circles – I’ve been using the Age Rewind almost every day now and am still in love with it. This formula tackles my dark circles for the right price!

L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Noir Mascara – Feline Noir has been my go-to mascara for January and you know me! I only use mascara for about a month and this one has done me well.

Covergirl Outlast All-Day Lip Color  – I had mixed review on the all-day lip color because the red was a little too red for me however “custom coral” looks great and I love the clear moisture stick.

Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub – Again with the lips! I am now officially addicted to lip scrub and have noticed a great improvement to the condition of my lip. I also love the mint flavor on this one so much.

So there you have it! 5 drug store beauty finds that I love. What are yours?

Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub Review

One of the items I received in my Target January Beauty Box was the New Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub in Fresh Peppermint!

What’s to love?

Lately I am all over lip scrubs. I’ve tried a few over the last 6 months and am so happy with the results and this new one from Chapstick is no exception.

The Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub contains Vitamin E and Coconut Oil for lip conditioning. I rubbed the white chunky sugar mixture onto my wet lips for a few seconds then wiped it off with a wash clothe and my lips looked and felt so much softer.

And the scent! Oh my gosh, the scent. I love peppermint and this lip scrub has the most perfectly creamy fresh peppermint smell ever. It’s on my desk right now and I’ve been taking a whiff all day.

Overall I’m now addicted to lip scrubs…which is a good thing…I think!

Target January 2017 Beauty Box (Box 1 & Box 2)

I nearly hugged the mail man when he showed up with my 2 Target January Beauty Boxes just now. I am a huge beauty box junky, there’s something about getting a surprise box in the mail that just makes my day.

Here’s a picture of both boxes I got today!

The best way to get a Target Beauty Box is to search for “Beauty Box” on their site starting on the 1st of every month. The early bird gets the worm (or beauty) and they sell out fast.

I’ll be reviewing these items over the next month too.

Box Number 1 was $10 with free shipping.

I got Colgate Enamel Heath Toothpaste, Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub, Amlactin Body Lotion, Burt’s Bees Day Lotion, eb5 Intense Moisture Cream, Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse, Nexxus Finishing Mist and Revitaflift.

Box Number 2 was $5 with free shipping.

I got Revlon Kiss, Vaseline Cocoa Radiant, Palmer’s Coconut Oil, Mane ‘n Tail, Carol’s Daughter Black Vanilla Leave-In Conditioner, Simple Facial Wipes, Miss Jessie’s Quick Curls and Shea Moisture Peace Rose Oil Complex Shampoo & Condition.

ChapStick Total Hydration Review

Back in October I reviewd the ChapStick Total Hydration Moisture +Tint and loved it so today I picked up the ChapStick Total Hydration without the tint in Cooling Peppermint and my lips are so happy!

What’s to love?

Now that Winter is hear I’m obsessed with lip protection! I feel like the ChapStick Total Hydration is kind of the Web 2.0 of lip balms.

The ChapStick Total Hydration formula is a 3 in 1 and it’s supposed to moisturize, renew and transform chapped lips and I’d say it wins on all three. I’ve been using the Cooling Mint scent for a few days and it feels amazing on my lips. It’s smooth, light and does not leave my lips sticky (I hate that feeling).

I also love the scent too, it’s a barely there creamy mint and there’s no tingle (for those of you who are not a fan of that sensation).

You can also get this formula is Coconut Hydration, Wild Acai Berry, Soothing Oasis and Sweet Peach. These scents have zero tint so I also picked one up for my husband and daughter.

2016 Holiday ChapStick Flavors

I have a bunch of tweens to buy stocking stuffers for this year so I went to Walmart today on the hunt for some holiday ChapStick. Check out what I found!

What’s to love?

I’ve been looking for Christymasy ChapStick this year and while I’ve found the 3 Pack Candy Cane set at Target I had not located any other flavors.

So today at Walmart I found Candy Cane (in a different design), Sugar Cookie (which smells amazing) and Green Tea Mint (which I find to be a fun holiday flavor). I’m still on the hunt for Gingerbread Kiss.

I am a ChapStick traditionalist too. Their formula always keeps my lips soft and kids love the holiday flavors. I love getting a few for purses, pockets and desks.

Anyone find any more ChapStick holiday flavors? Let me know.

ChapStick Total Hydration Moisture +Tint Review

I just got the new ChapStick Total Hydration Moisture +Tint in my October Target Beauty  Box and I’m really loving. It’s like ChapStick with a kick!

What’s to love?

If you’re a fan of ChapStick you’re probably going to love this new stick. It’s basically a new formulation with lots of moisture and a little bit of color. My stick is called Merlot and it smells like cherry. As you can see from the swatch it’s a dark berry red but it just gives my lips a hit of color.

According to ChapStick it’s got 100% naturally sourced ingredients and it’s made from rosehip and jojoba oils.  It also comes in Rose Petal and Coral Blush.

I think this will be great for Winter when I’m outside and need some moisture but don’t really want to pull out the full-on lipstick!
