Beauty Infusion Charcoal & Probiotics Cleansing Clay Mask Review

I received a full-sized tube of the Beauty Infusion Charcoal & Probiotics Cleansing Clay Mask in my August Glossybox and it’s a nice charcoal mask.

What’s to love?

I am such a sucker for a good charcoal mask and the Beauty Infusion mask is really nice and it has a great price at $8. This one is boosted with powerful skin-balancing Probiotics.

The formula is a nice thick consistency that spread easily on my face. It dries to a hard clay that I washed off with warm water and a wash cloth. The mask works well at giving my face a nice smooth appearance too. It works well on my oily areas and pores too.

The only thing that I did notice was the scent. It has more of a floral scent than an earthy one and while not super strong I do prefer the earthy scents a bit more.

You can see my video unboxing of the August 2017 Glossybox below!

Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub Review

I love the Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel so I decided to try the Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub and I love it!

What’s to love?

I am a huge fan of charcoal masks and I am so glad that Clinique has one that’s a scrub too . This mask has natural bamboo charcoal and kaolin clay plus natural silica beads for an exfoliant.

It has zero scent and the grey formula feels very soft and smooth upon application. To use I just applied all over my face and let dry for 5 minutes. The mask does turn blue as it drys then I massaged it into my face as I removed it  with warm water for the exfoliation part.

I have to say that my face looked amazing when I was done. My pores really shrunk which thrilled me and I had no drying. I think this might be my new favorite mask!

I also got a Clinique Gift With Purchase from Macy’s with product!

Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel Review

I am so excited about the new Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel. I actually picked this up for my husband but now I want one. My husband has combination skin that’s on the oily side and he’s been using bar soap which drys his skin so I convinced him to try this new charcoal cleanser and he loves it.

What’s to love?

I tried this out first and all I can say is..wow! My skin instantly looked better after just one wash. The formula is a black gel that turns white and bubbly when you rub into your hands or on a wash cloth or you can buy the Clinique Sonic System City Block Purifying Cleansing Brush Head for $26, I may just pick this up. The product has no scent.

After I rinsed my face it just felt clean and really, really soft. It also removed my make-up and I swear my pores looked a bit smaller. For someone like me with an oily face this product is amazing. Now I want the Pore Refining Solutions Charcoal Mask.

The funny thing is Clinique actually has a Clinique For Men Charcoal Face Wash and I wonder if this is the same thing. My guess is that it is, they just market one for men and one for women.

The 5 fl. oz. tube costs $20 which I found to be very reasonable for the quality of the product.

Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market Vegan Artesian Soaps

A Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market just opened up about a 1/2 hour from my house so we decided to do a road trip and check it out. Unfortunately all of greater Cleveland had the same idea. It was insane and while the store is really nice it was so crowded we barely made it out alive.

Luckily while we were standing in line I spotted a mountain of soap that was $2.99 and buy 1, get 1 free which was awesome. I grabbed 2 bars and wish I had snagged more.

What’s to love?

The Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market is Vegan, cruelty-free, chemical free, gluten free, paraben free, and biodegradable. I was so overwhelmed by the crowd I barley noticed which ones I grabbed. I think the black soap is called Active. It smells very citrusy and has charcoal in it. The green soap is Frankincense and Mir and has an earthy mint scent.

Both of these soaps lather into a smooth and creamy bubbles that feels amazing. The bars are hard too so I’m hoping they don’t get goopy on me. These are not glycerine soaps. A few of the ingredients include safflower seed oil, coconut oil organic beeswax and natural clays for pigment and Vitamin E. They feel very luxurious next time I’m there I want to try a few more scents.

L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Detox & Brighten Charcoal Clay Mask Review

I’m on a roll today with the masks! Last night I used the L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Exfoliate & Refining Treatment Mask and it just didn’t work for me, the scent was way to strong and floral. So today I decided to test out the black charcoal L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Detox & Brighten Clay Mask and I love it!

I have always been a fan of charcoal masks and this one is amazing. It also just goes to show that you should test out all three of these L”Oreal masks to find the one that works for you.

What’s to love?

The Detox & Brighten is just what I love in a mask. The scent is much lighter than the Exfoliate & Refining Mask. It does have a very light fresh/earthy/floral scent but I like it.

It was easy to spread the thick black creamy mask on my face and as it dried I could feel it tightening and it had that cracking effect that I love. I could feel this mask working if that makes sense. Once the mask was dry (it took 10 minutes) I washed it off with a wash cloth and warm water.

I really loved the results of this mask. I’m not sure if you can see in the photo but my face was clean, dry and smooth with no reddness. I really do feel like I had a detox treatment and I think my skin looks brighter.

Overall I love theDetox & Brighten mask and am definitely going to get the full-sized product.

Right after application, after 10 minutes, after removal.
