The Clinique x Jonathan Adler Collection = LOVE!

It’s official! My credit card is going to go up in flames this month because of the Clinique x Jonathan Adler collection.

Jonathan Adler created the most beautiful designs that I have seen in forever just for Clinique and of course you all know that I am already a huge Clinique fan already so this just makes me so happy. They are very glamorous and Palm Beachy.

The item that I covet the most is the Clinique + Jonathan Adler: Pop Lip Colour + Primer. The Palm Beach Pop (pictured below) is so pretty and pink for Summer and the case design is just divine! “The domes of Lucite are inspired by my Globo collection—glowing and glamorous. Just like Lip Pop,” says Adler.

The Clinique + Jonathan Ader: Limited Edition Chic Colour Kit is gorgeous too! Oh the decisions to be made. I am such a huge fan of collaborations and limited-edition collections so this is going to be tough to pass up.

Clinique Crayola Limited Edition 4-Pack Review

The Clinique Crayola Limited Edition 4-Pack has been on my wish list for a few weeks and I finally picked it up on sale at Sephora.

What’s to love?

First up the packaging so so adorable. I’ve been wanting these Clinique Chubby Sticks just because they look like Crayola crayons.

The colors are also very nice too. from left to right I got:

  • Fuzzy Wuzzy (Brown) – Chubby Stick Intense
  • Mauvelous (Raisin) – Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Balm
  • Melon (Light Orange) – Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Balm
  • Brick Red (Dark Red) – Chubby Stick Intense

The Intense sticks have more color and the Moisturizing Lip Balm is more sheer and I love them both! They have great pigmentation and feel amazing on my lips.

They are free of Parabens, fragrance, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DPB (dibutyl phthalate), and camphor.

Also be sure to check out my April Beauty Favorites video which has the Clinique Crayola Chubby Sticks.

Clinique Pop Glaze Lipstick Review

Last week I went to the Clinique counter at Dillard’s so that I could get the Clinique Gift With Purchase. In order to get the gift I picked up the Clinique Pop Glaze Lipstick in Fireball Pop for my mom but I ended up stealing it back!

What’s to love?

I really like the square tube on the Color Pop line. The base is a colored transparent plastic and the top is silver with the Clinique logo.

The Clinique Pop Glaze Lipstick comes in 6 shades including Licorice Pop (dark violet), Bubble Gum Pop (medium pink), Sugar Plum Pop (medium violet), Melon Drop Pop (light red/coral) and Sprinkle Pop (dark pink). Second on my wish list is the Sugar Plum Pop.

My mom chose the Fireball Pop which is a darker coral/red but once she got it home the finish didn’t work on her lips. I think the reason was because this is a satin glaze finish which can look a bit transparent and it’s hard to get a good fill on older lips (my mom is 72), she does better with creams.

As you can see below I got fairly nice coverage (I’m 47). This lipstick is definitely transparent (glaze describes it well) but it is very pretty. It’s no where near the pigmentation you get with a cream. Pop Glaze does feel very moisturizing without being sticky and I loved the weightlessness. It does have a built-in primer.

Clinique says that this is an 8 hour wear lipstick but I only got about 4-5 hours. I rarely ever get 8 hours out of any lip product that’s not a matte. I had to reapply after lunch.

Overall I do like this lipstick and I would purchase it in another shade.

Price: $18.50

Clinique Kisses Long Last Soft Matte Crimson Lipstick Review

I got an e-mail this morning from Ulta to come to the Clinique kiosk for a free Kisses Long Last Soft Matte Crimson Lipstick so I was all over that! I’ve gotten some really nice free products from Ulta this year. I’m also a sucker for collectable lipstick cases and this one is adorable, it’s got lips and sayings all over it.

What’s to love?

Apparently the Clinique Kisses line came out last Fall as part of a 5 piece set. beatfacefriday wrote a great review here.

This is a true matte lipstick and for some reason I have a hard time getting mattes right on my lips. I needed to keep applying to fill in my whole lip area but the finished product but I think it looks nice although I might add some clear lip gloss to give it some shine. I’m still not totally on board the matte train.

The one interesting thing about this lipstick was that it had a little bit of white film on the surface, Ulta said it was normal so I did some research and found out that it’s the oil coming to the surface from improper storage. I’m thinking it’s the same thing that happens to chocolate when you heat and cool it.

Overall I’m thrilled to get a new color for my collection. This one is smooth and scent free which is nice.

Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer Review

I just got the Clinique Pop Lacquer Lip Colour + Primer in Love Pop with my “Gift with Purchase” and it was nice to test it out.

c1.jpg

What’s to love?

I love that Clinique is adding to their “Pop” line with new products. The Pop Lacquer is a super pigmented lip gloss that is just beautiful. I have the Pop Love color which is a rosy red with a tiny hit of burgundy.

This formula has a built-in primer and you can really tell the difference. The gloss stays in place. I hate when lip gloss is runny or goopy, this one is neither. The doe foot also provides a super easy application and you can use it without a liner. The shine is perfect and you could wear this shade for a casual or evening look.

Overall I am thrilled with this fragrance-free and scent-free formula. Another win from Clinique for me!

Clinique Different & Long Last Lipstick Review

I have been a huge fan of Clinique since I was a teen and I’m still in love with the brand. Clinique is always coming out with new products that I use and love. Today I wanted to talk about their Different & Long Last lipsticks which I absolutely adore.

Currently I own 3 Clinique Lipsticks and I actually laughed out loud when I started this review being that these 3 shades are very similar. I think I need to go shopping soon.

Different Lipstick

The first two shades in the photo are Different Lipstick in Ripe Raisin and Sweet Honey. Ripe Raisin has some shimmer to it. Sweet Honey is sheer.

The Different Lipstick is a moisturizing lipstick that’s super creamy, but never gooey. It has zero odor or taste and feels amazing on my lips. You will have to reapply after a meal but that’s fine as I keep one in my purse.

Different Lipstick comes in 12 shades.

Long Last Lipstick

Clinique’s Long Last lipstick is just that. It wears longer than the Different lipstick and I swear it makes you lips look fuller. I have Berry Breeze which is the shade on the far right. This is a darker color that looks great in the Fall. It also has zero odor or taste.

Long Last Lipstick comes in 26 shades.

My only advice when buying Clinique lipstick at the counter is to do your homework on line and have a few shades picked out in advance. Long Last, Long Last Soft Matte & Different lipstick all have the same the silver tube case so it’s sometimes hard to figure out which is which. The new High Impact lipstick has a slightly different case.
