I recently picked up the Maybelline Color Tattoo by EyeStudio 24hr Cream Gel Eye Shadow in Painted Purple because it was on sale and I like to keep these pots in my make-up bag. I love the Inked In Pink shade that I bought last Summer so I thought I’d try the purple shade.

What’s to love?

The Maybelline Color Tattoo is a nice cream eyeshadow that looks really bright in the pot however it is a bit more transparent on my skin but I do really like it. The non-greasy formula is easy to apply on the go and the shade is one of my favorites.

The key to a good application is to sweep your eyelid and then blend out. I like to apply a primer first to get a better application. The color does stay put with no creasing although I have never tried wearing it for 24 hours.

I have also heard that these pots can dry out but the pink one I bought last year is still fine so I’m hoping I have the same luck with the purple shade.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Crayon Review

A few weeks ago I tested out the Maybelline Tattoo Metal Cream Gel Eye Shadow and really like it so I thought I’d try the crayon too. I got the Maybelline Color Tattoo Crayon in Lilac Lust.

What’s to love?

The main reason I bought this one is because I love keeping a stick eyeshadow in my purse. At $5.99 these are a great inexpensive way to build up your make-up bag.

I found the crayon very easy to use. I just applied directly to my lid and blended with my finger. The formula is super smooth and light with no scent. I had no problems with creasing and found the pigmentation to be good.

I love the color. Purple is one of my all time favorite eye colors and the metallic shimmer makes it even more pretty.

Upon reading the fine print I did read that this product is flammable until dry, good to know! It’s Made in the USA which everyone knows I love so that’s a plus too.

Overall I’m happy to add another product to my purse for mid-day touch ups so Yay for this one.

I finally picked up one of the Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo Metal Cream Gel Eye Shadows, I’ve been wanting to get one of these for awhile now and am so glad I did.

What’s to love?

First, I have to say I love cream eye shadow and have since the 80’s it’s so pigmented and easy to apply and the Maybelline EyeStudio Color Tattoo Metal Cream Gel Eye Shadow (that’s a mouthful) delivers for me.

I got the Inked In Pink shade because I’m newly in love with all the pink shades. The Color Tattoo cream is a darker shimmery pink, I paired it up with some Tarte Swamp Family shades including Big Baby and Mancat and finished the look with Benefit Roller Lash Mascara for a casual look.

The creams claim to last 24 hours and are waterproof. It blended super nicely with no creasing although my inner eye socket looks a bit weird in the photo which was just the lighting. The arm swatch is pretty true to color and I just love this shade.

I am so excited to find a lower cost cream that I love. At only $6.99 I’d like to get a few more shades including Bad to the Bronze and Too Cool which is a silvery white.
