Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter is Coming Soon!

I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay Naked line so I’m pretty excited that they are coming out with a new Naked Skin Shapeshifter palette that includes five cream and five powder formulas that contour, highlight, and color correct.

They haven’t announced when it will launch but I can’t wait!

NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour Review

I picked up this NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour from target today because I love having a dual ended pencil like this, however I had mixed results.

What’s to love?

I love having a highlighter and pencil in one product so I was excited to see that NYX had this kind of product.  I got the Soft Pink/Auburn Shade because I wanted to try something with red undertones. The shades are very pretty.

But…this is the first NYX product that I’m not completely in love with. The Soft Pink side is great as a highlighter however the Auburn side is hard and brittle. I could barley apply it to my brows and it smudged all of the place. I kind of looked like an auburn lashed Grocho Marx which no one wants to see!

So the “good” is that I’m going to stick this into my make-up bag because I like the highlighter end and I can always use the other side as a pen! See turning everything into a positive there! The packaging is also great with twist ups on both sides and this product has very little scent. It is Made in Taiwan.

I have seen users who do love this product so it could just be me. Has anyone else tried one of these pencils?

Borghese Eye Shadow Quad and Bronzer Highlighter Duo Review

The second thing I want to review from my Borghese gift set are the Eye Shadow Quad and Bronzer Highlighter Duo. These are from the Borghese Ready to Wear Fall 2016 Color Collection.

First I want to say that I’ve been using Borghese since 1986 when they were Princess Marcella Borghese. The only issue I have with this set is that it was Made in Taiwan which surprised me a great deal because I thought all of Borghese was Made in Italy. I also just checked my Liquid Eyeliner and Mascara and they were Made in the USA.

What’s to love?

Eyeshadow Quad – I love the colors in this set. The shades are beige, a rusty orange, purple and gold. All four of the colors are a metallic shimmer and have great pigmentation. They are very smooth and fine powders too. One cool thing about this palette is that you can mix the colors with a brush because there are no separate pans.

Bronzer Highlighter Duo – This duo consists of a shimmery cream and a bronze powder. I am in love with the cream because it’s the exact shade that I need for my fair skin. It looks so bright and pretty on my fair skin. The bronzer is a bit dark for me but it’s still a beautiful color.

I am very happy with both products, they are a nice addition to my Fall collection.

Price: I paid $11.80 f0r this entire set because Borghese had a 40% off sales and I got free shipping which was amazing.

Maybelline FaceStudio Master Contour & Highlight V-Shape Duo Stick Review

I’ve been wanting to try a contouring stick for awhile now but didn’t want to spend a lot of money so today I picked up the Maybelline FaceStudio Master Contour & Highlight V-Shape Duo Stick at Target and I had a $2.00 off coupon which was awesome.

What’s to love?

The cool thing for me about the Maybelline Master Contouring stick (aside from the price) is that it’s a chubby stick. You get a nice wide swath of both the dark and the light shades to work with in one easy to use product. I’m going to try to keep the point going as I use this because I’m thinking that if it goes flat it might be hard to use each color separately.

I’ve got the Deep Fonce 02 stick and the light side is perfect for my fair skin. The dark shade also works well along my jaw line when I blend the two colors together. This is my first attempt at contouring and I’m having fun with this stick. I do need more practice though!

The easy to use twist-up tube is a great design and the product itself does a great job with coverage on my skin. The cream is a smooth. light-weight semi-matte with no shimmer. It has zero scent and I find that it blends really well on my skin. I noticed that it has mixed reviews but I found it to be a great product for the price. So glad I found this one today!
