Bath & Body Works Vampire Blood For Halloween 2017

Halloween at Bath & Body Works is in full swing and one of my favorite Halloween scents is Vampire Blood. The scent is so good with blood-red berries, night-blooming jasmine & devilishly dark plum. It has a unique scent that is both sweet and flowery.

The Bath & Body Works Vampire Blood scent comes in the Hand Cream, PocketBac, Foaming Hand Soap, Candle and I also picked up the Light-Up Bat PocketBac holder.

I love the red and black packaging with the bat too. It’s both cute and scary so kids love it too! It has a great goth look to it and a collection would look great in a gift basket.

Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer Review

I received a sample sized Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer in my August 2017 Glossybox and it’s really nice.

What’s to love?

I am a huge fan of brow tamers and the Pixi by Petra formula is great. It does set, shape and hold my brows and I love that it’s Not tested on animals. It also does not make my brows sticky or goopy. It has aloe vera and panthenol.

My only issue is that I don’t use a lot of brow tamer. This tube will probably last me for 3 months which I guess is a good thing! I do like that this one is $10 for the full-sized tube which is super reasonable. I don’t like to pay a lot for brow tamers and this one does the job at the right price for me.

The Pixi by Petra brand is great and I love their stuff.

Clarins Lip Comfort Oil Review

My new favorite Lip Oil for Fall is the Clarins Lip Comfort Oil. I got this sample in my August Birchbox. This luxury lip oil comes in 7 high shine finishes including Mint, Honey, Raspberry, Red Berry, Honey Glam (which has gold flecks), Tangerine and Candy (which is pink). I have Mint.

What’s to love?

According to Sephora this Lip Oil…

This pure plant oil formula—with a blend of hazelnut and organic jojoba oils—nourishes, smooths, and enhances lips while forming a protective layer of transparent color to help lock in moisture for deep hydration.

I found the formula to be super easy to apply and wear. It’s not sticky or heavy and it makes my lips shine. The colors are supposed to have a bit of a tint but the mint I have is clear.

The mint formula has a bit of a tingle and gives a plumping effect.  Candy & Tangerine react to the pH of your lips, giving them a customized shade of pink, for a natural, high-shine result and Honey Glam provides a shimmering result.

You can use it alone, under or on top of lipstick.

Full-Sized Price: $26 and it’s Made in France.

August 2017 Birchbox Review

I was going to cancel  Birchbox but I forgot and then I got my August box which was pretty nice so I think I’ll keep going for the holiday season!

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil –  This mint oil is soft and pretty on my lips! So Full-Sized Price: $26

JUARA Coconut Illipe Hand & Nail Balm – This one smells amazing! Full-Sized Price: $20

Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil – I love the Lord & Berry Line and this black eye pencil is so smooth. Full-Sized Price: $19

Number 4 Sugar Texturizing Spray – You can see in my video that this spray makes my hair very shiny. Full-Sized Price: $22

Ursa Major Essential Face Wipes – I really want a pack of these. They smell earthy and feel so fresh but they are a bit pricey. Full-Sized Price: $24 (for 20 wipes).

So over all a good month for Birchbox, I’m glad I forgot to cancel.

Target Up & Up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes Review

I got a 25 pack of the Target Up & Up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in my August Target beauty box.

After trying these Towelettes I found them to work fairy well at removing my makeup but I did have to scrub a bit to get my mascara off. I’m also not sure I love the smell, they have a very strong floral scent that bothered my nose although they did not irritate my skin. They are paraben-free.

I think my favorite makeup removers are the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II Review

I received the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II in my August Boxycharm Box and it’s gorgeous! I am thrilled to have gotten this palette as part of my Boxycharm Box.

What’s to love?

First up, I love the case. It’s gold with a pretty blue, purple and pink sea scape.

The palette itself is amazing too. The shades are super pigmented and almost feel like a cream. I swatched the shades below although the riptide shade does not look blue to me. At first I thought it was dark green but it’s actually more of a charcoal. My favorite shade is marina!

The shades from left to right are…

  • pearl (white shimmer)
  • conch (off white)
  • sunset (yellow gold)
  • marina (caramel)
  • seaside (chestnut)
  • siren (dark brown)
  • breezy (shimmering slate)
  • riptide (steel blue)

I also found the shades to be very blendable and long lasting. They have no scent although I do wish they had the “Tarte” vanilla scent as I love that smell!

The palette is Made in Italy and retails for $36.

Aurora Pro Cover-Up – I have the Pale Ecru shade of this creamy cover-up.

I loved this months bag and am giving it a 9/10.
