INC.redible Jelly Shot Lip Quencher Review

Back in 2016 I reviewed the Kailijumei Flower Jelly Lipstick.  I love the clear jelly lipsticks with the embedded flowers, they are so unique and pretty. I got the Nails Inc. INC.redible Jelly Shot Lip Quencher in _ex revenge (which is clear) in my 2018 Glossybox Advent Calendar and I’m super impressed. It also comes in a clear orange, green, pink and blue. It has no scent.

The INC.redible Jelly Shot formula has vitamin E, avocado and rice bran oil to keep my lips moisturized and it works really well. I also love the visual of this lipstick. It has gold flecks and a rose in the center of the clear lipstick.

It’s a pretty lip balm that’s meant to prime, prep and protect your lips, you can also wear under your lipstick! I love it.

Price: $10

Medusa’s Make-Up Totally Baked Eyeshadow Review

I got the Medusa’s Make-Up Totally Baked Eyeshadow in Fer Sure which is a beautiful coppery brick red shade, it’s definitely a metallic which I love. I am a huge fan of the metallic shades and this one looks really nice with my green eyes. The shadow is nicely pigmented and applies smoothly. It also had nice staying power.

The Medusa’s Make-Up Totally Baked Eyeshadow line currently consists of 16 shades including some really crazy ones like the bright purple Radical and a bright green one called Tubular.

The Totally Baked Eyeshadow cost $9.00 each and you get a decent pan for that price.

Medusa’s Make-Up is a Vegan Cruelty Free brand.

Dirty Little Secret Eye Shadow In Sangria Review

I received the Dirty Little Secret Eye Shadow In Sangria in one of my Ipsy bags and I just got around to trying it out.

Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics was founded in 2014 by Emanuela DeFalco, “She does all the testing on herself and her employees, and puts each product and shade through vigorous testing before approving for production.”

What’s to love?

I have been a fan of the Dirty Little Secret line for awhile now and I was thrilled to discover their eyes shadow line. The 1.5g pot retails for $12 and they also have a 5 shade bundle on sale for $54. You get Bronzed, Matte Roses, Teaser, NYE and Bikini.

The eye shadow is deeply pigmented and almost feels like a cream. Sangria is a beautiful metallic that has a reddish/bronze hue. I found it to be very blendable and it did not crease.

Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold – Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush Review

I received a Seraphine Botanicals Lychee + Gold – Healthy Glow Rose-Gold Blush in my February 2018 Ipsy Bag.

First up this product is…

  •       99% Natural
  •       Vegan
  •       No Mineral Oil
  •       No Parabens
  •       No Phthalates
  •       Gluten-Free

What’s to love?

What I love most about this blush is that it feels light and airy on my face. I hardly feel like I’m wearing it all and it give me a bit of shimmer from the “micro gold frosting”. The color is a pinky-coral and looks great with my fair skin too.

I also love that the main ingredients is corn starch! I feel like the corn starch formula gives my face a nice smooth appearance and it does not look cakey at all.

I think this may be my new favorite blush for Spring!

Maison Jacynthe Make-Up Review

I received 3 complimentary (free) products from the from the Maison Jacynthe line to review. All opinions are my own.

The Maison Jacynthe was founded in 2014 by Jacynthe René who is an actress and producer and the product line is mostly natural. Maison Jacynthe also joined PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies Program as one of their cruelty-free companies.

I received..

Maison Jacynthe Lipstick in Bordeaux Mate

This lipstick is 93 to 100% of natural origin (only the red pigment is for the moment synthetic).

First up I have to talk about the packaging. The lipstick tube is so unique and pretty. The cap of the tube is wood and silver and feel like a quality piece.

The lipstick itself is is a brick shade that’s a creamy sheer/matte. According to Maison Jacynthe “The candelilla wax allows a gentle application without drying of the lips. The oil of abyssinia allows the enhancement of the color and the long duration.

I did find it to be very pigmented and it has amazing lasting power. It does have a natural fragrance of goji that tastes natural and earthy.

Maison Jacynthe Varnishes Taormina

Next up I got a wonderful nail polish in a very pretty light lilac shade.

Their nail polishes are:

  • Free of 9 to 10 toxic products, the highest ecological guarantee in this field.
  • Between 75,5 and 80% of natural origin and enriched with organic silicon with fortifying and protective virtues.
  • Certified by PETA “humane on animals”.

Overall I really like the coverage and color of this polish. It looks beautiful with just one coat too.

Maison Jacynthe Eyeshadow

The final item I received was the eyeshadow in Affogato which is a nice purple/grey. The eyeshadow comes on cardboard then you can buy a wood and silver compact to house their powder products to reduce your environmental footprint. It is also 91 to 100% of natural origin.

The eyeshadow itself is so smooth and pigmented and has amazing staying power. This shade looks so pretty to make a smoky eye look.

Overall I think this is a quality natural line choice. They have a lot of products to offer including  mascara, eyeliner, blush, illuminators and more. Their shade palettes are so beautiful and natural too.

The Body Shop NEW Almond Milk & Honey Review

The Body Shop has an all new line called Almond Milk & Honey and I picked up the Calming & Protecting Body Lotion and Soothing & Caring Shower Cream this past week.

They also have Calming & Protecting Hand Cream, Soothing & Restoring Body Butter and Gently Exfoliating Cream Scrub.

bs.jpg

What’s to love?

The Almond Milk & Honey line is made from organic almond milk and has no colorants, mineral oil or petroleum.  They are also 100% vegetarian and cruelty free. It is formulated for sensitive skin.

The lotion has a nice sweet scent and it feels very moisturizing without being sticky or heavy and I feel like it absorbs quickly into my skin.

The shower cream is so luxurious with the same sweet scent and it’s got a light lather and really does calm my skin. I feel like this would be great if you got too much sun. My mom has sensitive skin and she’s been loving this product and it is so gentle.

Overall I am super impressed with this new line and I’d like to try the Gently Exfoliating Cream Scrub next.

I share a bit about the Almond Milk & Honey line in my Ulta Haul video too!

Nature’s Gate Awapuhi Ginger and Holy Basil Shampoo & Condition Review

Last week when I was at the Fresh Thyme Farmers Market I picked up the Nature’s Gate Awapuhi Ginger Holy Basil Shampoo & Conditioner because it was buy 1, get 1 free.

ng.jpg

What’s to love?

While my go-to shampoo are the Lush Shampoo Bars I like to mix it up once in awhile and I’m always on the look out products I’ve never tried.

The Nature’s Gate Awapuhi Ginger and Holy Basil Shampoo & Conditioner  is Vegan, Non-GMO, Paraben Free, Gluten Free,  Soy Free and Cruelty Free. However the thing that really drew me in was the scent, it’s smells like Hawaii. Years ago I used the Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Shampoo and really loved it.

Along with the Awapuhi Ginger it’s also got Holy Basil and Wild Cherry Bark which make for a great fragrance.

This shampoo and conditioner is a volumizing variety and it really did give my hair some lift. This isn’t something I’d use all the time because I have thick hair and too much volume really makes my hair wild. The conditioner did make my hair super easy to comb through.

Overall I’m impressed with this shampoo/conditioner combo and I’ll probably be using it  a few times per month.

Nature’s Gate also has Tea Tree + Sea Buckthorn, Aloe Vera + Macadamia Oil, Jasmine + Kombucha, Pomegranate + Sunflower, Lavender + Peony, Jojoba + Sacred Lotus, Hemp + Argan Oil, Fruit Blend Grapefruit & Wild Ginger, Herbal Blend Lemongrass & Clary Sage and a few other combos of shampoo and conditioner.
