Zuii Organic Flora Eyebrow Definer Review

I received a Zuii Organic Flora Eyebrow Definer in my Glossybox Pink Diamond Box. It comes in two shades: Taupe and Coco and I have the Coco shade which is a soft light brown.

Zuii has Certified Organic ingredients. Their products are made from flowers, food grade and free of preservatives, petrochemicals, parabens, talc or GM ingredients and nano particles. They are also Made in Australia.

What’s to love?

Aside from being certified organic this eyebrow pencil looks great. The Coco shade is soft and pretty and the non-greasy formula is easy to apply and it made my brows look soft and natural.

I think the best thing about the Zuii Flora Eyebrow Definer is that people who want a certified organic pencil have that option with a quality product.

The BrowGal Convertible Brow Powder/Pomade Review

I received a a full-sized The BrowGal Convertible Brow Powder/Pomade in my 2017 Spring Beautycon Box and it’s a really great product.

What’s to love?

I feel like this $35 brow Powder/Pomade is a very professional product with lots of diversity. I also got a brush for the brow powder that’s retails for $14 and The BrowGal website has a .pdf sheet with instructions that I found very helpful.

You get a warm, neutral, and ash tone in the compact and you can use it dry as a powder or wet as a pomade. For me the dry powder gave me me full brows while the wet pomade gave me very dramatic brows. I am terrible at photographing my brows and the pictures just did not do the product justice.

I am so excited to have a professional brow product that I can play with and love that I got this in my Beautycon Box, it’s not something I’d normally pay $49 (compact & brush). There are 3 shades, 01 for Dark hair, 02 for Medium Hair, 03 for Light Hair. The shades are very pigmented, smooth and so pretty.

Overall I am very impressed with both the compact and the brush. I have a The BrowGal Highlighter that I love and I’m excited to experiment more with this brow palette.

The BrowGal Convertible Brow Powder/Pomade is part of my Beauty Con Box Reveal!

What’s to love?

First I have to say that brow highlighters are my new “Over 40” best friend. These highlighters to wonders for making my eyes look brighter. I also love The BrowGal Highlighter Pencil.

The Chella pencil has a great consistency. It firm but not hard applies very easily. I just swipe under and over my brow and then blend with my finger. The Ivory Lace shade is so pretty and really brightens up my face. The Chella pencil also comes in Latte, Cappuccino and Cinnamon.

The pencil can also be used on the inner corners of the eye, down the center of your nose and along the lip line for extra facial highlighting. You will need a sharpener for this one too, it’s not a twist-up.

I’m also super excited that Ipsy is continuing to give high-end products (the full-sized price on the brow pencil is $18) in their bags. Ipsy is one of my favorite beauty subscriptions.

See what else I got in my March 2017 Ipsy Bag!

Smashbox Brow Tech Shaping Powder Review

I’ve been using a sample of the Smashbox Brow Tech Shaping Powder in Taupe for about a month now and I am so impressed with it. The powder also comes in Dark Brown, Brunette and Blonde. The Full-Sized price is $25 and it’s Made in Germany.

What’s to love?

Brows are never too exciting to me for some reason. Maybe it’s because I tend to wear my hair with bangs and they usually get hidden. The reality is I really should be paying more attention to making my brows look more shaped and the Smashbox Brow Tech Shaping Powder has gone a long way with helping me achieve this.

This brow powder is super fine and has amazing pigmentation. I just swipe a little on with the tiny applicator and my brows look very professional and full. I also like that it never gives me that Grocho Marx look.

I’ve read some reviews wear people have said this product is messy but I have not experienced that at all. The powder is very, very fine and the tiny foam tip applicator gives me just the right amount of coverage. I also love that I can “spot fill” areas where my brows are thin.

Overall I am truly impressed with the product and I imagine the full-sized tube will last forever. A little goes a long way.

It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil Review

The It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil was another item I received in my It Cosmetics Haul and I’m really impressed with this product.

What’s to love?

The It Brow Power Pencil comes in the Universal Taupe shade however I do wish they had one that was a bit lighter. This brown shade is just a bit too dark for me.

The product itself is very nice. The brown pencil is fairly hard but applies smoothly and evenly and then you use the brush to smooth it out. I also used my finger to blend it a bit.

I love the duel ended eyebrow pencils where you get the pencil on one end and a brush on the other end. This makes it so much easier if I’m carrying this in my purse or make-up bag.

I found Brow Power to look very natural and neat too. According to It Cosmetics it has “brow-enhancing biotin, lecithin, saw palmetto, nettle, green tea, antioxidants, grape seed, and vitamins A, B5, C and E, plus proprietary Brow Power™ Technology” which is pretty cool. The Brow Power also claims to cover grey and while I only have a few grey eyebrow hairs (I usually pluck them) I did find a few to cover and it worked.

Overall I liked this brow pencil and would buy it again.

Beauty Reviews, NYX

NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour Review

I picked up this NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour from target today because I love having a dual ended pencil like this, however I had mixed results.

What’s to love?

I love having a highlighter and pencil in one product so I was excited to see that NYX had this kind of product.  I got the Soft Pink/Auburn Shade because I wanted to try something with red undertones. The shades are very pretty.

But…this is the first NYX product that I’m not completely in love with. The Soft Pink side is great as a highlighter however the Auburn side is hard and brittle. I could barley apply it to my brows and it smudged all of the place. I kind of looked like an auburn lashed Grocho Marx which no one wants to see!

So the “good” is that I’m going to stick this into my make-up bag because I like the highlighter end and I can always use the other side as a pen! See turning everything into a positive there! The packaging is also great with twist ups on both sides and this product has very little scent. It is Made in Taiwan.

I have seen users who do love this product so it could just be me. Has anyone else tried one of these pencils?

The BrowGal Highlighter Pencil Review

I got The BrowGal Highlighter Pencil in my Fall Beautycon Box and having been using it now for about a month. This beautiful pencil gives my tired eyes a big boost which I love.

bg

What’s to love?

The BrowGal Highlighter is by make-up artist Tonya Crooks and it’s a really neat product. This dual ended fat pencil has Gold shimmer on one end and Nude matte on the other. It’s a traditional wood pencil that needs sharpened. I love the consistency of the product too. It’s not hard or sharp and not to soft. It applies perfectly.

I use the nude end right under my eyebrows for some light lift and the gold end high on my lid for a little highlight. The pencil is formulated with Green Tea & Alfalfa Extract which is supposed to reduce puffiness and increase circulation. It does make my eyes look really nice and healthy.

My one beef is that the pencil is Made in P.R.C. which is China but I’m getting more used to it with quality products like NYX being made there.

I would buy this product once my sample runs out.

Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil Review

Last week I picked up the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil and I’ve been enjoying it for days! I really wanted to give it a good test before I wrote my review.

First of all I love the packaging. It looks like something out of Star Trek and is very utilitarian. Perfect for your purse too. You also get a little tips sheet which is very helpful.

What’s to love about the Benefit brow brush!

Or should I say…what’s NOT to love! This product is awesome.

On one end you get the eye brow product which is a pointed oval tip that you apply directly to your eyebrow, the other end has a brush to perfect the look. The Goof Proof is to much easier to use than a traditional eyebrow pencil. I think it’s due to the shape of the product.

I was a bit leary at first because it looks almost too easy, but that’s really the point. In less than 30 seconds you can have great brows.

The pencil comes in 6 shades from light to dark and is a twist-up style pencil that is long-wearing.  I got #3 which is the Medium shade.

Here’s me in the product (it’s really hard to take an up close make-up selfie but I’m learning). Keep in mind that I’m over 40 and that my brows are thinning a bit.

c9263ee2-9bb7-4c0c-8e8c-0e31d1fa998c

The pencil filled in my patchy spots really well. I also wear glasses so I am usually careful not to over-do my brows because it can look too busy. I think I succeeded with this look.

Over all I am thrilled with this pencil and will definitely be trying the other Benefit brow products.
