GlamGlow GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturizer Review

I received a sample tube of the GlamGlow GLOWSTARTER Mega Illuminating Moisturizer in my March 2017 Sephora Play Box. I’m always thrilled to get GlamGlow samples because it is so pricey.

What’s to love?

This is a newer product from GlamGlow that’s a “hydrating, super-charged cream with iridescent illuminating pearl particles to blur, reflect, and enhance your complexion for an instant luminous finish.” It comes in 3 shades including Pearl Glow, Nude Glow and Sun Glow. I have the Sun Glow.

First up I love the scent of this product. It smells like the Volcasmic Matte Glow Moisturizer which is an orange Creamsicle scent.

The product itself is pretty thin, I’d say it’s thinner than the BECCA Backlight Priming Filter however it does apply evenly. It absorbed into my skin very quickly and I feel like it’s an amazing moisturizer. It does have “vitamins, botanicals, hyaluronic acid, and TEAOXI™ golden root technology that instantly floods skin with hydration“.

At first I wasn’t sure I liked this product but it’s really growing on me. I was expecting more shimmer but it really works as a skin moisturizer and brightener for me which I love. I cover my entire face before applying my make-up.

My only issue with GlamGlow is the price. It’s $49 for 1.7 oz/ 50 mL which is out of my price point for a product like this.

So while I do think this is a quality product it’s not something I’d buy right now.

Check out what else I got in my March 2017 Sephora Play Box!

L’ORÉAL Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Golden Balm for Face/Neck/Chest

I got the L’ORÉAL Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition Golden Balm for Face/Neck/Chest for free because I used my $11.99 credit from my Amazon Beauty Box which was really cool.

First Impression!

I wanted to try this face cream on my dry spots and my first impression is that it’s a nice product. The golden colored cream is very rich and thick (it really is more of a butter than a cream) with a light musky/floral scent that smells a bit old-fashioned to me. I do however like that it comes in a glass jar.

My biggest concern is that it might be too rich for my skin. I’m OK with wearing it at night but as a day cream I thought it looked a bit greasy although it is a non-greasy formula. However I’m fine with it just being a night cream.

It did hydrate my skin very well and it did absorb quickly for me. Overall I interested in seeing if this does anything to my dry areas long term.

Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator Review

I have 3 sample jars of the Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator and I’ve been using it every night now that the weather has gotten colder and it’s a really nice hydrator.

What’s to love?

I love that the Clinique Moisture Surge cream-gel hydrator instantly puts moisture into my skin. I have been using this non-oily formula on the dry patches on my face. I also use it after I apply the Clarifying Lotion 2 to moisturize. It does take some rubbing to absorb but I feel like once it does absorb my skin feels moisterized for a long time.

I also love the smell of this product. It’s not floral at all which I dislike in a cream. The smell is very earthy to me with a hint of maybe mint because it is cooling on my skin.

Overall I like this product and would purchase the full-sized jar but I keep getting “gift with purchase” samples so I’m set for awhile which is cool.

Price: $39 for 50ml
