What’s to love?

I’ve already tried and love the Bye Bye Pores Pressed from the Je Ne Sais Quoi Complexion Perfection palette and I love it. The Bye Bye Pores Poreless Finish Airbrush Powder is just as nice too.

This fine white powder goes on very easily and makes my face so smooth and soft. According to It is uses “real silk to make your pores disappear from view, and hydrolyzed collagen to smooth away the look of wrinkles.”

I had zero shine and the white shade really blends in nicely. It did not appear white on my skin. The product comes with a white puff but I prefer using a stiffer brush to blend it into more pores. I am really amazing at how much my pores do appeared diminished from Bye Bye Pores.

This product has zero scent.

Retail Price: $24

I also created a video showing off all 5 It Cosmetics products that I got!

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder SPF 50+ Review

I’ve been wanting to try the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder SPF 50+ but I really didn’t want to pay $35 for it so when it showed up for 50% off at the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale I grabbed it. I had some interesting results that I want to share.

The Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder comes in a dual compact. One side is the product and the other side houses a foam puff. There is also a nice mirror.

The powder itself is super fine and almost feels like a cream (but it’s still clearly a powder). I chose the Fair shade which I think is a bit too light. I wish I had gone with Light but I am going to keep the Fair shade. I swatched on my arm below and it’s a perfect match it just looks a tiny bit too light on my face but I found a work around.

I actually prefer applying this product with a brush as opposed to the puff. The key to a good application for me is having a complete clean and dry face. If I have any oil on my face it gets a little messy. So in the morning I washed my face with my Clinique City Block Cleansing Gel and waited for it to dry completely. Then I applied a very thin coat of the powder and blended — a lot! I found that if I don’t blend it in really well it looks like a powder mask. Blending is key for me and this powder!

I also found that blending the Bye Bye Pores Pressed on after gives me a dryer look. Once I got the powder on to my liking it did look very nice. My pores were diminished and I love that it has SPF 50+ for Summer.

Overall I am very happy with this product and I’ve been really happy with It Cosmetics in general for my over-40 skin. My big advice if you buy this one is to test out the shade before you buy.

This powder also has zero scent and is Made in the USA.

The It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Airbrush Perfecting Powder SPF 50+  is also part of my Ulta Haul if you want to check it out.

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte+Poreless Powder Review

Being over 40 I have a love/hate relationship with powder and I’m always trying out new ones. Today I tested out the Maybelline Fit Me! Matte+Poreless Powder in Translucent.

What’s to love?

The packaging of the Fit Me! is really useful. The square compact is easy to open and contains a flip-up mirror and foam applicator under the product which I really like.

The product itself is a super light matte powder that matched my skin perfectly. As you can see in the third photo you can barely see it on my skin.

I applied the powder to my forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. I thought it worked great on my cheeks and nose. It also absorbed the oil on my chin and forehead, I think this would be great for touch-ups too. The key for me it to make sure it’s completely blended or it looks a little heavy (which most powder does).

I think it works best on me when I blend it with a little blush and I like that it’s buildable. I also blended it with my concealer for a great look.

Overall I think this is an excellent product. The product did last me all day and I will definitely keep this one in my collection. It’s Made in the USA and reasonably priced.

Price: $7.99

I’ve really been into the Becca line lately, it does wonders on my over 40 skin so I actually picked up this new Becca Glow On The Go Shimmering Skin Perfector Moonstone Holiday Gift set for myself at Sephora for $20.

Milani Illuminating Face Powder Review

I was at CVS today and happened to walk through the cosmetics area (as I usually do) and I found a Milani display. I’m not sure how I’ve missed this brand in the past but I’m pretty impressed with this Italy inspired brand that’s also Vegan and Cruelty-Free. So I picked up a few products including this really nice Illuminating Face Powder.

What’s to love?

First off the Milani Illuminating Face Powder is beautiful to look at. The case is clear and gold with a weighty feel. I got the #3 shades which includes rosettes of pink, dark pink, nude and beige.

I used a large brush blush to apply and love the feel of this product on my face. It’s nice and light with a touch of color. This one is going in my purse make-up bag for on the go touch up. It really did a nice job with getting the shine off my nose too.

The product does have a very, very slight chemical odor up close (I mean if you stick your nose right it in) but it didn’t bother me which is good because I am very scent conscious.

Overall I’m pretty impressed with this drugstore brand. I also Bella Eyes Gel Power Eyeshadow which I’ll review soon.
