Today I got my Kailijumei Flower Jelly Lipstick in the mail. I ordered the Flame Red color off of ebay for $11.99 and that included shipping from Singapore. I’m pleasantly surprised at the quality of this lipstick, I was expecting it to feel cheaper. As you can see it has a plu colored flower and gold flecks encased in a clear jelly lipstick.
I’m not sure if this is a fake because I bought it off of ebay but it feels authentic. The package has a Kailijumei.com QR code on the package and there is a production date and an expiration date.
The only odd thing is that a few words are misspelled on the back and the punctuation and sentence structure is a odd. For example it says…”first from the middle of the lower lip, hit a circle to the insideEvenly, and then coated with lip, Kylie finished the United StatesJelly lipstick, light SIP lips, so that makeup effect lasting.” WHAT???? That is weird.
The packaging is pretty with a metallic red case with a mirror. You pop up the lipstick by pressing on the bottom button of the case.
The lipstick itself is very pretty and has a nice vanilla scent and felt smooth on my skin. I tried it on my arm first and the color turned a light pink. The lipstick is completely smooth and is really quite beautiful to look at.
I could’t get a very good picture of my lips, the lighting was just strange. As you can see it looks very light pink, not Flame Red at all. Not sure if this is because of the way it reacted to my skin or if it’s just a defect. I was a bit nervous putting it on my lips seeing as though I wasn’t sure if it was fake but I didn’t have any bad reactions to it. To me it felt more like a lip gloss that an actual lipstick product.
Overall I think this is a really interesting concept and I’d love to see a company like Tarte to produce a Flower Jelly Lipstick. Not sure I’d wear this one but I love looking at it. It’s quite a neat product to have in my collection.
