St. Patrick’s Day Bath & Body Works Haul

Happy St. Patrick’s Day all! I decided to go to Bath & Body Works today for some “green” products and I got a pretty nice haul.

I’ll be reviewing these new products over the next few weeks and I have to say that the Fiji Pineapple Palm and the Mentha Soap are two of my favorites. I also created a “Haul” video to show off my “green” loot. I hope everyone has a safe and fun St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy!

Essie, Nail Polish Reviews

Essie Going Guru Nail Polish Review

The Essie Going Guru nail polish shade is from the 2016 Resort collection but I think it’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day and Spring! However it doesn’t look too Springy with all this snow.

What’s to love?

Going Guru is a beautiful mint green. It actually looks like the green in mint chocolate chip ice cream. It’s light and looks like it has a white base. I feel like this a great Spring shade and I got great coverage with two coats. One coat looks a bit patchy so you’ll probably need two coats for the best look.

Essie is one of my favorite higher end nail polish brands and I was lucky enough to scoop up some 2016 shades for $2.25 each this morning at the grocery store. Essie retails for $9 so I felt like I hit the jackpot with this discount.

Essie usually lasts me 3-5 days with touch-ups and stays fresh looking while I have it on. It a nice medium consistency that brushes on very smoothly too.

SinfulColors Luck Of The Stylish Queen Of Green Review

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a nail polish review so I stopped by Walgreens today and picked up some new SinfulColors shades including the Queen Of Green shade from the Luck Of The Stylish collection.

What’s to love?

I wasn’t sure I was going to like this bright glittery green shade but I’m feeling a little bit like I belong in the Emerald City with it on. It’s a really beautiful shade that would be perfect for a St. Patrick’s Day party or parade.

The color is a deep emerald green with green and silver glitter and it comes off surprising well for a glitter product.

Sinfulcolors is one of my favorite brands. I think it holds up great for a lower cost product and the shade range in unbelievable.

The new SinfulColors Luck of the Stylish collection also includes:

  • Works Like A Charm (mint green)
  • Gilded Goddess (metallic gold)
  • Mint Apple (minty jade with gold undertones)
  • Queen Of Green (which I’m wearing)
  • San Francisco (forest green metallic)
  • Green Ocean (magical green and aqua glitter flakes)
  • I’m Clover It (is a topcoat with holographic shamrock-shaped glitter)
  • Rise & Shine (teal)

All shades are Made in the USA and Toluene, Formaldehyde & DBP Free.

Price: $1.99

Beauty Reviews, Clinique

Clinique All About Shadow Quad Eyeshadow Review

Clinique is one of my favorite brands of make-up that I’ve consistently loved since the 1980’s and this All About Shadow Quad is just awesome.

What’s to love?

The Clinique All About Eyeshadow Quad comes in 7 beautiful palettes including Galaxy (blues), Going Steady (purples), Morning Java (browns), On Safari (greens), Pink Chocolate (pinks), Smoke and Mirrors (grey), Teddy Bear (browns).

I chose the On Safari palette in green and not only do I love the colors but also the ease of application. You get a need guide on the mirror on how to apply the shades which is great for teens too.

The shadow itself is very fine and it didn’t crease on me. I also got a days worth of wear out of it. It’s also fragrance free and hypo allergenic. Clinique eyeshadow has never given me any irritation and the product is Made in the USA.

The compact itself is super functional. The cover is metallic and you get a nice mirror inside with two foam applicators although I with it came with a brush instead. The palette is small enough to travel with too.

As you can see from the swatches below you get a nice range from light to dark and the jungle green just looks amazing.

I’d actually like a few of these palettes in my collection. I picked this one up when Clinique offered a free gift which makes it an even better deal.

Price: $29.00

Beauty Reviews, Lush

Lush Guardian of the Forest Bath Bomb Review

I got the Lush Guardian of the Forest Bath Bomb to test in my latest Lush haul and it’s really, really nice. I was a bit worried I wouldn’t like this one but boy was I wrong. Woodsy works for me!

What’s to love?

The one word to describe Guardian of the Forest is in fact Lush! This one smells so earthy with the main ingredient being Cypress Oil with some oakmoss absolute  mixed in. This one is definitely woodsy but I really liked it.

The colors are amazing too. For some reason the green reminds me of the forest in the Flash Gordon movie (how’s that for geeky)!

My tub water turned bright green with streams of yellow that come from the center of the bath bomb. My skin felt really smooth after this one and the green does not stain and there is a tiny bit of shimmer in this one which is nice.
