Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon Review

I received the Doucce Relentless Matte Lip Crayon in my February 2018 Glossybox and it’s really nice for a matte.

What’s to love?

I’m not usually a huge fan of matte lipstick. The matte liquids dry out my lips but this matte lip crayon from Doucce is not as drying. The pretty brick shade is called Busy Lizzie and it looks so nice with my fair skin.

The pigment is amazing so mush so that’s it’s a but hard to remove. When you buy the retail version you also get a sharpener and it comes in 12 shades.

Retail Price: $22!

Julep It’s Balm Full-Coverage Lip Crayon Review

The Julep It’s Balm Full-Coverage Lip Crayon in Ripe Raspberry Shimmer is gorgeous! I got this in my Julep Let’s Glow Out Mystery Box and I am thrilled.

What’s to love?

This Julep lip crayon is now one of my favorites. It comes in 18 shades and has a super-hydrating treatment core enriched with sunflower butter and vitamin E.

The crayon is a semi-gloss that perfectly plumps my lips with a little bit of shine. The Ripe Raspberry Shimmer color is so pretty for Summer too.

I feel like my lips are getting moisture while they look amazing and the formula is very pigmented and has great lasting power for a crayon. I really want a few more of these for my make-up bag and purse.

Price: $20.00 or $16 for Julep Mavens

trèStiQue Matte Lip Crayon Review

trèStiQue was started in 2015 by Jack and Jenn. They have an amazing line of “stick” products for on the go make-up application. I love that!

I received a trèStiQue Mini-Matte Lip Crayon in my May Ipsy Glam Bag and it’s amazing.

What’s to love?

I got the trèStiQue Matte Lip Crayon in Tuscan Wine and it’s the mini one that just has the Matte Lip Crayon. The shade is amazing and the packaging is so cute (see above). The product is very pigmented and has great lasting power. I’ve been wearing it all day!

However what’s cool is that you can order this product as a 2-in-1 Matte Color & Shiny Balm. The top is the matte shade then you can add shine with the BB Lip balm on the bottom. So cool!

The shades are…

  • Tuscan Wine & Syrah Balm
  • Costa Rica Coral & Bellini Balm
  • Chile Red & Sangiovese Balm
  • Nammos Pink & Pink Champagne Balm
  • Barcelona Bright Berry & Cava Balm
  • Florence Fig & Rose Balm
  • Nantucket Nude & Muscat Blanc Balm
  • Belize Bordeaux & Grenache Balm

Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon Review

I am on a lipstick roll this week! I just tried out the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon which comes in 6 creamy shades including Sedona Sands, Redwood Forrest, Niagara Overlook, Carolina Coast, Hawaiian Smolder and Napa Vineyard. I really like the location names, I have the Hawaiian Smolder shade which is a pretty pink.

What’s to love?

I am becoming quite the fan of lip crayons lately. I love how easy and versatile they are to use and they fit really well into a make-up bag. I wish we had these in the 80’s!

I feel like the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon is up there with the high-end brands. This natural crayon uses shea butter for moisture and has no scent or flavor. To me this feels like a smooth cream and the pigmentation is pretty high. I got great coverage with one coat and it feel moisturizing (but not sticky) on my lips. I also worn it at dinner and it had good staying power.

I would definitely buy the Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon again. The Napa Vineyard shade is so pretty, I love those raisin shades.

Lord & Berry 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick Review

I got this Lord & Berry 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in my August 2016 Ipsy Bag and at first I thought it was a lip liner but it’s so much more and now lives in my purse make-up bag!

What’s to love?

I am in love with this Lord & Berry Crayon Lipstick. The color is called Intimacy which is a matte rosy red with a hit of pink.

The crayon is very soft which is the first hint that it’s not a liner. It’s more like a hard cream that you can apply to your entire lip. It was super easy to apply on my bottom lip but a bit harder to apply to the top. Standard lipstick is an easier application.

Once I mastered my technique I was super pleased with the results. I got a nice matte look that’s perfect for daytime wear and my lips felt super moist with it on which is nice for a matte product. I’m actually getting over a cold right now so my lips are dry and the lip crayon made them feel a lot better.

The packaging is simple but you do need a sharpener to use, this is not a twist-up product.

The pigmentation is strong , long lasting and the product is Made in Italy. This is my first experience with the Lord & Berry line and I’m very impressed. Their site claims to use the “highest quality raw materials and finest hypoallergenic ingredients.”

It is on the pricey side at $20, but I feel like it is a quality product.
