My 5 Favorite ColourPop Lippies! #TBT

I am a huge fan of the ColourPop Lippies do I decided to bring some back for Throw Back Thursday! Being over 40 it’s sometimes hard to find liquid lipstick that doesn’t make my lips dry and I’ve found that ColourPop really does the trick to make my lip look soft and pump.

ColourPop Ultra Stain Lip in London Fog London Fog is also a a Stain Lip product and the pinky red matte shade is so pretty for Spring.

ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip in Airplane ModeThis shade is similar to Strip in that it’s a nude but this one has a bit more pigment and is slightly rosier.

Beauty Reviews, OFRA

OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick Review

This is my first OFRA review although I have gotten some of their products in my beauty boxes and I LOVE this brand and the OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick that I got in my 2017 Boxycharm Box.

What’s to love?

The OFRA Liquid Lipstick is so luxurious and pretty however I have no idea what shade this is as I got it in my BoxycharmBox and I didn’t see the shade on the promo card! It’s a deep pink and so beautiful and it’s perfect with my skin tone.

The formula itself really nice too. As you all now I have a love/hate relationship with liquid lipsticks but this one is creamy, vibrant, pigmented and not too drying on my 47-year-old lips. I also did not have to use a liner and there was no feathering.

According to OFRA — “This exclusive product is formulated with the finest raw materials. What makes the OFRA formula unique is that many of the raw materials used are produced exclusively in-house at their factory and unavailable to any other brand.

I do feel like this is a high-end product and it has the most delicious vanilla cookies scent and taste I think I’ve had in a liquid lipstick. It smells good enough to eat!

I would definitely buy another shade of this product.

Beauty Reviews, Kat Von D

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick Review

I received a sample of the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in my June Sephora Play! Box in the K-Dub shade which is a bold fuchsia.

What’s to love?

So I’m going to say WOW about this liquid lipstick. I love Kat Von D and I really need to do a haul of her stuff. The Everlasting Liquid Lipstick comes in 20 shades that range from subtle (Noble petal pink nude) to wild (Dreamer neon turquoise) and I am loving this formula.

I have issues with liquid lipsticks that dry out on my lips but this one worked fine and gave me a nice creamy texture that looked really pretty on me. It also had decent staying power (expect for greasy food) and the pigmentation is amazing, I had no patchy spots.

I got quite a few compliments wearing this the K-Dub shade and I also love that it has a sugary scent and taste.

Retail price: $20

Your Best Friend Beauty Lovely Liquid Lustrous Lippies Review

I received a complimentary (free) Lovely Liquid Lustrous Lippies Set from Your Best Friend. All opinions are my own.

These NEW Lovely Liquid Lustrous Lippies come in a set of two and there are two color choices. Nudes and Berries. I have the Berries set which are Romantic Raspberry and Passionate Plum. The Nudes are Blissful Beige and Pink-Me-Up Pink.

What’s to love?

I found that these high-shine lippies dry to a beautiful high gloss finish. The glosses were super easy to apply and with the doe foot flat wand. The creamy formula is super moisturizing and not sticky and the color is amazing.

They also have a nice berry scent and taste that I really liked!

I found both shades to be highly pigmented and bright for a gloss, it’s more like a lipstick in coverage. The Romantic Raspberry is more of a pink, while Passionate Plum is deeper. I got decent wear from both shades for a gloss and had no bleeding.

Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick Review

I received a Wet N Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Nice To Fuchsia in my May Target Beauty Box and it is so nice!

 What’s to love?

Holy Moly is this a pigmented liquid lipstick! When I first saw the tube for The Wet N Wild Catsuit Matte I was thinking…there is no way a 47-year-old woman can wear this shade…but boy was a I wrong. It actually looks amazing.  Catsuit Matte comes in 13 shades including this bright pink called Nice To Fuchsia.

It was super easy to apply and the doe foot is a good quality.  It’s also not runny or patchy at all. After drying Catsuit felt surprisingly moist on my lips. I think this is one of the first liquid lipsticks that didn’t dry my lips out too much. It did however leave a mark on my cup during dinner but without eating the staying power was great. I’d love to try a nude shade next.

The shade looked very pretty on my lips and not quite as intense as it looks in the bottle. This formula has no scent and is Made in China.

Price: $4.99

Beauty Reviews

Battle Of The Liquid Lipsticks (7 Pinks Shades To Love).

Over the past 6 months I’ve tested a lot of liquid lipstick and I wanted to showcase 7 pink shades that I’ve tried out. I’m still on the fence about liquid lipstick. While I love the shades, pigmentation and staying power I still prefer my over 40 lips to have a little moisture and shine.

ll

The first thing I wanted to do was show the doe foot on each product and the scent. In the photo below from right to left I have:

  1. NYX Soft Matte Lipcream in San Paulo (strong cookie/sugar scent)
  2. OFRA Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Mocha (strong cookie/sugar scent)
  3. Ciate London Liquid Velvet in Pin Up (no scent)
  4. Too Faced Melted Matte in Queen B (very light cookie/sugar scent)
  5. Smashbox Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat (no scent)
  6. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina (strong cookie/sugar scent)
  7. Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Birthday Suit (light mint scent)

Next up I swatched each shade in the same order.

My favorite shade is the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Patina, it’s the second from the left and such a pretty mauve/pink.

My favorite cream is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream which I didn’t find to be that drying.

My favorite scent is the Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint in Birthday Suit because it smells like mint which I love.

My overall favorite product of these 7 is the Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lipstick. It had great staying power, was not too dry and I really liked how it felt on my lips.
