Lush Father’s Day Stairway To Heaven Soap Review

The Lush Father’s Day Stairway To Heaven Soap was on my “must have” list because I think it’s so unique. The bar is cut from a larger guitar shaped soap with red, blue and yellow circles and a white background. My piece is red, white and blue and has a guitar shaped imprint on one side.

What’s to love?

Stairway To Heaven has bergamot oil, star fruit puree and rose absolute in the mix and it smells quite nice. I think both men and women would enjoy the fresh scent. It also has a super creamy lather from the coconut oil and it feels amazing on my skin.

I think this would be a neat dad’s day gift, you could even pair it up with a Led Zeppelin album or something equally cool!

Price: $5.95

Lush Snowcastle Review

I’ve got a few more items left in my Lush Boxer Day Sale including the delightful Lush Snowcastle Soap.

What’s to love?

Snowcastle is a fairly large soap that’s shaped like a castle with 29 1/2 in the center. The soap is a beautiful off white with loads of shimmer. I truly love how glittery Lush makes their products.

The scent is mostly almond but it does have hints of  rose and benzoin resinoid which according to Lush “is known for its sweet vanilla ice-cream scent”. I love the smell of Snowcastle and think that this also could be a year round product. It’s also got coconut oil for moisture and it feels amazing on my hands. I can’t decide if I want to use this in the bath or as a hand soap.

The bad news is that this one os sold out so I hope you got a few in the sale of you love it!

Lush The Magic Of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar Review

Yes, I know it’s not yet Halloween but The Magic Of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar star smells just like Christmas!

What’s to love?

I picked up a few of these Lush wands as stocking stuffers this year because they remind me of an old fashioned Christmas in both smell and style. The mixture or orange, almond and cinnamon is so amazing. I also love the star design with the cinnamon stick “wand” with the red bow and bell. Very Harry Potter like!

You run the star wand under a stream of water to get bubbles and fragrance. The water also turns a cool shade of glittery orange. I found the bubbles to be good and get 2-3 uses out of these Reusable Bubble Bars. I suppose you could cut this one up but I prefer to run it under water for the effect.

I also love using these as a fragrant bathroom decor. Everyone compliments me on how they look and smell. Bottom line is that I love everything about these sticks!

Lush Snow Fairy Christmas Fun Review

I got my first Lush Christmas order yesterday and I am so excited and I’ll be reviewing Lush Christmas products right up until December 25th. First up is one of three Fun products that Lush has for the holidays called Snow Fairy, this one is amazing!

What’s to love?

I think this is my favorite Lush Fun variety for holiday season although they are all really, really  nice. Snow Fairy is a shimmery white, gold and pink mixture that smells like candy (it’s all bubblegum and vanilla) and you even get little wings and a wand to make your own Snow Fairy.

What I love about Fun is that you (and the kids) and create any shape you want. Get creative with creating a magic wand, white cat, pink hat or a gold turtle! Kids seriously love making all kinds of great stuff with Fun and they get clean.

I literally love walking into Lush during the holidays I just need a reasonable budget.

Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser Review

Oh Aqua Marina! I wanted to love you so much but my nose says otherwise. Not sure I can get onboard with this one, but it made my skin feel amazing. Such a conundrum!

I got the Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser as part of a Lush haul earlier this week and I wanted to love it. The reviews are amazing so I was excited to get it in the mail. Upon opening I was intrigued but my nose told me no. The pinkish clay cleanser is wrapped in a beautiful green piece of seaweed that you can mix up so that you get bits of the seaweed when you wash with it.

I mixed it up but still could not get over the smell. To me it’s pungent (not bad, at all) just a really, really strong scent. I’d say it smells like earth or clay, roses and the ocean. But it’s STRONG!

However in an ironic twist of fate this cleanser made my face look great. The smell is a little less strong once you mix will water but even after I rinsed it I can still smell it lingering a bit.

So as much as I do like the result I think I’m passing this one on to a friend who doesn’t mind the scent as much.

I am glad I tried it though. I am a fanatical Lush fan that knows not every single product will be for me. So my advice is that if you want to try Lush get samples (they give them at the store) and figure out what works for you.

Lush Creamy Candy Bubble Bar Review

We’ve been using the Lush Creamy Candy Bubble Bar for about a month now and the whole family loves it.

What’s to love!

The Creamy Candy Bubble Bar is one of my favorite scents. If Willy Wonka made bath products this would be his signature product. I personally would love to see a Lush version of the Willy Wonka factory!

It does smell like cotton candy but once you add it to the bath and get the bubbles going it tames down to a beautiful sweet smell.  I love how the bathroom smells after someone uses it.

The beauty of the bubble bars is that you can break off a small chunk. We get about 5-7 uses per bar. Just make sure that you crumble a piece of over paper as there will be some crumbs coming off of it. The bubble bars have a medium-hard cakey consistency. Creamy Candy breaks better for me than “The Comforter” which seems harder.

Overall I would recommend trying this one. Some reviews say it’s on the sweet side but I say bring on the candy! Try it yourself and see what you think.

Lush Love Lettuce Fresh Face Mask Review

I am a face mask addict and I want to try the entire Lush line. Today I tested out a Love Lettuce which is a fresh mask. You can only buy fresh masks in a Lush store. Here’s a great article from the Lush blog about Fresh face masks: How to choose your Fresh Face Mask.

This is a sample of Love Lettuce that I was given for free at Lush. Lush is extremely generous with giving samples out, just ask at the store. They will give you a small pot which will last you for 2-3 uses.

What I love about Lush Love Lettuce

I am 46-years-old with combination skin that tends to be more on the oily side, I also have large pores. Love Lettuce gives me a nice rough scrub to tackle my pores using ground almonds but it also has some soothing elements like French lavender oil with seaweed and honey.

I removed the mask with a warm wash cloth after 5 minutes and was left with noticeably smoother skin. I swear it was glowing!

The only con for me was the smell which is a bit on the earthy side. Oddly I didn’t notice the smell until after I applied the mask. It smells great in the tub. My guess is that the earthy smell comes out as it dries.

So a big “Yes” for Love Lettuce. My face feels so FRESH! Get it…Fresh. OK, that was lame.
