Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm Review

I received a 1.7 fl. oz. of the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing BalmFarmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm in my October Boxycharm box and I am loving it!

What’s to love?

First up the Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm smells amazing! It’s got a nice fresh clean scent that smells like lime to me which makes sense because it has lime, bergamot and orange. It also has  Sunflower and ginger root oils to remove make-up.

I love that this product is a balm. I just grab a little bit on my fingers and rub it on my face. It literally melts away my make-up! Afterwards my face feels fresh, clean and moisturized!

It also has…

Papain, a natural enzyme found in papaya, gently exfoliates to retexture skin and reveal a youthful glow.

This is my new favorite make-up remover.

Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm Review

I received a sample size of the Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm in my Macy’s Clinique Bonus Time gift with purchase. I’ve been using the Clinique Take the Day Off Micellar Cleansing Towelettes and these are a great addition to my routine.

What’s to love?

The Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is just amazing! It literally erases my make-up, I do a demo in my video below too.

The make-up remover feels like chapstick but does not leave my face greasy. I but a small amount on my finger and rub it into my face then use the Clinique Take the Day Off Micellar Cleansing Towelettes to finish up. It does wonders on removing mascara too! I’m going to buy the full-size too.

It is Allergy Tested. 100% Fragrance Free. Non-Acnegenic. Ophthalmologist Tested.

Target Up & Up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes Review

I got a 25 pack of the Target Up & Up Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes in my August Target beauty box.

After trying these Towelettes I found them to work fairy well at removing my makeup but I did have to scrub a bit to get my mascara off. I’m also not sure I love the smell, they have a very strong floral scent that bothered my nose although they did not irritate my skin. They are paraben-free.

I think my favorite makeup removers are the Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towelettes with White Tea Extract.

Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil Review

I got a full-sized bottle of Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil in my Summer 2016 Beautycon box and just got around to trying it.

What’s to love?

I’m always on the look-out for new and improved ways to remove my make-up so I was curious to try the Neutrogena Ultra Light Cleansing Oil.

This one smells really good, just like fruit which is nice. I pumped out a few squirts on a cotton make-up pad and went to work. The cleansing oil does an amazing job at removing make-up fast. The main ingredient is mineral oil and I’m assuming that’s what breaks up the make-up. Now the instructions say to work into your face with your fingers so I tried that too. Afterwards I rinsed with water.

After removing my make-up I still had a very light oily feeling. However I think if my skin was dryer the oily feeling would actually be a great benefit. So I think this is a quality product, it’s just not for me.

What I didn’t like.

For me personally I like an astringent type of remover. I’m glad I got this for free because now I know I’m not a fan of an oil remover. For me the oil feels way too heavy on my already oily skin and I just couldn’t kick that greasy feeling. I was also hesitant to use this on my eyes which is weird because I do use astringent based prodcuts to remove mascara without a problem.

Price: $8.99

Olay Makeup Remover Review

Today is free sample day! Here’s another Target Beauty Box item that I love. The Olay Makeup Remover Wet Cloths are amazing. Target sells them for $4.99 for 25 cloths.

What’s to love?

I just use this these huge cloths to remove my Katy Kat Mascara and it wiped it clean off. These moist cloths have have a light fresh scent and did not burn my eyes at all which is a huge plus for me. I was able to remove all of my make-up in seconds and my face was left clean and smooth.

The towelettes are dermatologically tested too. Just don’t flush them. Not sure what happens if you do but it doesn’t look good given all the warnings. So yah to make-up removal, nay to flushing.

Borghese Gel Delicato Gentle Makeup Remover Review

Back in the 1980’s Borghese was Princess Marcella Borghese (who was an actual person). Marcella Borghese was friends with Revlon founder Charles Revson and he helped get her cosmetic line up an running. Later the company reorganized as just Borghese.

As a teen I LOVED their line. I was a huge fan of Duran Duran, Adam Ant and every other New Wave European artist on the planet and wearing Princess Marcella Borghese made us teenage girls feel like we were a part of that culture. So much fun.

Anyway, I still love using Borghese. Today it’s less about bold color and more earthy. I can immediately recognize the Borghese scent which to me smells like what I imagine a fine European Spa smells like, I can even picture Simon Lebon there (now that’s geeky).

One of the products I love is the  Gel Delicato Gentle Makeup Remover.

borghese

Gel Delicato is a thin gel that easily takes off makeup without leaving a residue. I don’t use this everyday, just when I’m wearing dark eyeshadow or mascara. It does the trick and leaves your face smooth and nice smelling.

Here’s a great tip for getting Borghese for less. They frequently have sales that offer 20% or 30% off. Wait until a sale and get a Gift Set with the discount which will give you a lot of products to try out. Their gift sets change frequently and I often get nice ones in the $10 range AND shipping is always free which I love.

Yes, and now I’ve got Duran Duran’s Girls on Film in my head.
