First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask Review

I received the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask in my February 2018 Sephora Play Box and WOW it smells amazing!

First up, I am a huge fan of jelly masks. This one has Ginger, Turmeric and Vitamin C in it and it goes on clear and is the consistency of jelly!

I left it on for 10 minutes and it gets firm but it’s not a peel-off mask. It feels cold on application and I think it would be great right out of the refrigerator in the Summer.

It feels very refreshing when you put it on. The scent is amazing too, the best word to describe it is — invigorating. The mask does tingle a bit but it left my face so smooth and clean.  I also feel like it leaves my face a bit brighter!

It’s also….

Free from… Alcohol, Artificial Colorants, Artificial Fragrance, Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Parabens, Petrolatum, Phthalates, Propylene Glycol, Sulfates
and it’s… Allergy-Tested, Gluten-Free, Nut-Free, Soy-Free, Suitable for Sensitive Skin, Vegan, Nano-Free
So, yes…WOW!

Check out my February 2018 Sephora Play Box with the First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Ginger & Turmeric Vitamin C Jelly Mask.

Too Faced Glow Job Glitter Face Mask

I feel like 2018 is the year of Glitter and Too Faced has a hot product that they can’t keep in stock. The Too Faced Glow Job Glitter Peel Off Face Mask is pink and — well glittery! It’s also back in stock right now.

The pink glitter mask is infused with real gold and is supposed to exfoliate formula dull and tired skin. I love that it is a peel-off mask. The price is $42 for 1.7 oz.

I’m really thinking that I might need this one!

Beauty Infusion Charcoal & Probiotics Cleansing Clay Mask Review

I received a full-sized tube of the Beauty Infusion Charcoal & Probiotics Cleansing Clay Mask in my August Glossybox and it’s a nice charcoal mask.

What’s to love?

I am such a sucker for a good charcoal mask and the Beauty Infusion mask is really nice and it has a great price at $8. This one is boosted with powerful skin-balancing Probiotics.

The formula is a nice thick consistency that spread easily on my face. It dries to a hard clay that I washed off with warm water and a wash cloth. The mask works well at giving my face a nice smooth appearance too. It works well on my oily areas and pores too.

The only thing that I did notice was the scent. It has more of a floral scent than an earthy one and while not super strong I do prefer the earthy scents a bit more.

You can see my video unboxing of the August 2017 Glossybox below!

Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub Review

I love the Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Cleansing Gel so I decided to try the Clinique City Block Purifying Charcoal Clay Mask + Scrub and I love it!

What’s to love?

I am a huge fan of charcoal masks and I am so glad that Clinique has one that’s a scrub too . This mask has natural bamboo charcoal and kaolin clay plus natural silica beads for an exfoliant.

It has zero scent and the grey formula feels very soft and smooth upon application. To use I just applied all over my face and let dry for 5 minutes. The mask does turn blue as it drys then I massaged it into my face as I removed it  with warm water for the exfoliation part.

I have to say that my face looked amazing when I was done. My pores really shrunk which thrilled me and I had no drying. I think this might be my new favorite mask!

I also got a Clinique Gift With Purchase from Macy’s with product!

Que Bella Face Mask Refreshing Pomegranate Peel-Off Mask Review

Target has a ton of new face masks including the Que Bella Face Mask Refreshing Pomegranate Peel-Off Mask which I picked up today. I really loved the results too.

What’s to love?

This is a clear gel mask that has a fairly strong fruit scent. It’s pretty sticky but it was easy to apply with my fingers and there is a generous amount in the package for one application.

I love peel-off masks because I feel like they do a deep clean on my skin and this one worked well. I left in on for 20 minutes and it was super easy to peel off with no pain or sticking. It did burn my face just a little, but nothing that bothered me.

I was also thrilled with the results. My face felt very clean and exfoliated when I was done and it looks smoother. I also bought the Watermelon Relieving mask to try next.

Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Review

I got a nice sample of the Kate Somerville ExfoliKate in the Winter 2106  Beautycon Box (which I think is one of the best beauty boxes) and today I tried it out today. My skin was in desperate need of a treatment this week. The Kate Somerville ExfoliKate is pricey but oh is it nice!

What’s to love?

The Kate Somerville ExfoliKate is an exfoliating treatment that you use 1  to 2 times per week. It’s got all kinds of good stuff in it like Aloe Vera and Honey. It’s also got Papaya, Pineapple, and Pumpkin Enzymes for exfoliation and this is my kind of mask. It also has Lactic Acid.

The product is a green gel with grit and you apply a light layer on your face. As you can see from the photo you can barely see the product, it looks like I lightly dipped my face in seaweed.

It smells like a sweet earthy pumpkin and is very similar in scent to the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask which makes sense because both of them have pumpkin as one of the ingredients.

I rubbed the formula into my face using circular motions and it did burn a bit which I find normal for an exfoliating mask. This one feels similar to the GlamGlow FlashMud Brightening Treatment to me. The burn lasted for the entire 2 minutes I had it on. It does say to leave it on for just a minute if you have sensitive skin.

After 2 minutes I wiped it off with hot water and my face felt amazing. I had zero redness and when my face dried it felt smooth, clean and tight. I really liked the tightness I got from this product. I can’t wait to use it again next week.

Aside from the price I would definitely buy this product again, but I feel like it is worth the money. I was thrilled to get the $24 sample in my Beautycon Box.

Price: $24 for 0.5 oz. It’s $175 for 5 oz.

Pur~lisse Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask Review

Over the past 6 months I’ve gotten a lot of Pur~lisse samples and I finally got around to using the Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask and I loved it. This mask is an excellent exfoliator and my face felt so soft after this treatment.

What’s to love?

I am a huge fan of clay masks and this one is super nice because it’s an exfoliator too. The Blue Lotus Seed Mud Mask has Blue Lotus Seeds, White Clay, Bamboo, Ginger, White Tea and Mushroom Extract.

The white formula is super creamy clay with mild exfoliation seeds. It smells amazing with a light earthy floral scent. After gently rubbing in the mask I left it on my face for 10 minutes and washed it off with warm water. The mask did not feel tight as it dried but it does feel tingly as it dries.

My face felt amazing after this treatment. It was soft, smooth and oil free and I plan on using this once a week. I’m really glad I have a bunch of these samples now!

L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Purify & Mattify Mask Review

Last week I reviewed the red L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Exfoliate & Refining Treatment Mask and the black L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Detox & Brighten Charcoal Clay Mask. The red clay mask didn’t work for me but the black charcoal mask was amazing. So today I tired the green L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Purify & Mattify Pure-Clay.

What’s to love?

The third mask in the L’Oreal Pure Clay mask line is the green Purify & Mattify Mask. It’s got Eucalyptus to purify and mattify your skin.

The scent of this one is nice too. It’s strong and you can definitely smell the Eucalyptus but I liked it. Upon application this mask did burn my skin a bit, again I think it’s from the Eucalyptus but the burning subsided quickly for me. I could feel this mask tightening my skin which was nice too.

After 10 minutes I washed it off with warm water and while my skin was a bit red it looked clean and tight. The redness went away after a few minutes and my face looked great.

So in order of favorites I like the black charcoal mask best, then the green Eucalyptus mask second and the red algae mask third. I would absolutely buy the black and green masks again.

L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Detox & Brighten Charcoal Clay Mask Review

I’m on a roll today with the masks! Last night I used the L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Exfoliate & Refining Treatment Mask and it just didn’t work for me, the scent was way to strong and floral. So today I decided to test out the black charcoal L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Detox & Brighten Clay Mask and I love it!

I have always been a fan of charcoal masks and this one is amazing. It also just goes to show that you should test out all three of these L”Oreal masks to find the one that works for you.

What’s to love?

The Detox & Brighten is just what I love in a mask. The scent is much lighter than the Exfoliate & Refining Mask. It does have a very light fresh/earthy/floral scent but I like it.

It was easy to spread the thick black creamy mask on my face and as it dried I could feel it tightening and it had that cracking effect that I love. I could feel this mask working if that makes sense. Once the mask was dry (it took 10 minutes) I washed it off with a wash cloth and warm water.

I really loved the results of this mask. I’m not sure if you can see in the photo but my face was clean, dry and smooth with no reddness. I really do feel like I had a detox treatment and I think my skin looks brighter.

Overall I love theDetox & Brighten mask and am definitely going to get the full-sized product.

Right after application, after 10 minutes, after removal.

L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK Exfoliate & Refining Treatment Mask Review

I’ve been seeing the L’Oreal PURE-CLAY MASK’s everywhere and I’ve been wanting to test them out. Luckily I got 3 sample sized masks in my Target beauty box and the first one I tested out was the Exfoliate & Refining Treatment Mask with mixed results.

I really wanted to love this mask because I’ve heard such good things about it. The red clay formula (it has Rich Red Algae) is a medium consistency with a fine grit to it for exfoliation. I was easily able to apply a thin coat with my fingers as it’s super smooth and creamy.

However I just didn’t like the scent. It’s a definite floral aroma that just didn’t float my boat. I like the smell of the Borghese Fango Active Mud much better as it’s more earthy.

This mask didn’t burn or irritate my skin and it dried smooth. I actually like when a clay mask dries hard and cracks a little. I washed it off with a warm wash rag and it came off clean and easy. I did feel like my face was smoother after using this mask and I do believe it does a good job with exfoliation however I was just not blown away with the results as I could not get past the scent.
