Masque Bar Hydrating Peel Off Mask Review

I am on a roll today! I just got the Target February 2017 Beauty Box and the first thing I grabbed was the Masque Bar Hydrating Peel Off Mask. I am addicted to peel off masks but they can be pricey (like the GlamGlow Firming Treatment for $69). So when Masque Bar Treatment came today I decided to try it out. It is by Look Beauty.

What’s to love?

There’s something so fun and relaxing about a peel off mask. The Masque Bar mask is a clear green gel that smells like fresh cucumber. I applied a thin coating to my face and let it dry for about 15 minutes, this mask does not feel super tight as it dries.

Once it was dry it was super easy to peel off and almost looked like clear glue. I could not remove the entire mask in one piece but it peeled easily and my face felt smooth and clean. Once the mask was off I just rinsed it with warm water to remove the mask residue.

Overall I liked this mask and would buy it again. I love that it comes in a single pack application and the price is reasonable. I do feel like it cleaned my pores and my face felt very smooth afterwards.

This mask is Made in Korea with a retail price of $3.49 for one application.

AHAVA Time To Clear Purifying Mud Mask Review

My face is a mess this week because of Thanksgiving pie and a cold that I just got over so I needed a good mask today! Luckily I got a sample of the AHAVA Time To Clear Purifying Mud Mask from Ulta and it did wonders for my skin.

a.jpg

What’s to love?

I am new to AHAVA and got an entire sample pack from Ulta and I’m super impressed with this line which is Paraben Free, SLS/SLES Free, Allergy Tested, Approved for Sensitive Skin, has No Animal Testing and no harsh synthetic ingredients.

I love mud masks and the AHAVA Time To Clear smells amazing. It’s got an earthy smell and fairly smooth texture with just a hint of grit. I apply the mud over my entire face and let it sit for 2 minutes. It gets more clear as it dries.

This mud produced no burning or irritation at all and it’s made with Dead Sea Mud which I’ve had good luck with in the past. It’s also got Horsetail extract and Jojoba oil in the formula.

After I removed the mask my face felt noticeably tighter, smoother and cleaner. I really love this mud and want to try more AHAVA products.

Price: $33

Algenist Algae Brightening Mask Review

This week I picked up a sample set of face masks at Sephora and I’ve been having so much fun trying them out. I highly recommend sample sets because you get to figure out which masks work and don’t work.

Today I tried out the Algenist Algae Brightening Mask and I loved it!

What’s to love?

This is a true clay mask that gets tingly when you apply it. It feels a bit cool and as it dries it stays more creamy then some clay masks I’ve used. It’s got a bit of grit but it nothing rough. I absolutely love the smell, it’s fresh with a hint o of mint.

I left my mask on for about 10 minutes and wiped off with a hot wash cloth. My skin felt very smooth and tight after using. I also noticed that my face felt less oily. I really want to use this a few times to see if it continues with oil control. I am really wanting to find a good reliable oil control mask!

I’m excited to add this one to my mask routine to see if my skin in fact gets brighter with use.

It is oil-free, dermatologist tested, and non-comedeogenic.
