It’s Skin Cookie & Hand Cream Review

Holy Hand Cream! The It’s Skin Cookie & Hand Cream not only looks good enough to eat it also smells amazing too and is helping my Winter hands.

This Korean beauty product comes in three “flavors” — Original, Mint and Strawberry. Price $6.50

According to the It’s Skin website “each hand cream contains soft cookie chip pieces that melt when massaged—leaving skin soft and smooth but never greasy.

The Cookie & Hand Cream has Macadamia Seed Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Seed Butter, and Sweet Almond Oil and it really makes my hands happy and the dog thinks I have cookies!

Bath & Body Works Mint To Be Body Scrub Review

I think I found my all time favorite Bath & Body Works product with the Bath & Body Works Mint To Be Body Scrub. It’s a pure mint sugar scrub with heavy exfolitaion. I ended up getting 4 of these during the Buy 3, Get 4 sale.

m.jpg

What’s to love?

This sugar scrub has extremely large crystals that feel amazing on my skin and they melt into a smooth and creamy lather. The scent is perfect too. It’s pure peppermint oil with no other scents mixed in which I love. I don’t tend to love mint with florals or musky scents. Just give me a pure mint!

This formula also feels amazing on my feet and leaves them smooth and minty! Did I mention how much I love this mint scent : )

TONYMOLY Liptone LipCare Stick Review

I received a TONNYMOLY Liptone LipCare Stick in my April Ipsy bag and I’m really digging it! TONYMOLY is a very cool company that started in 2006 in Seoul, Korea and they have a variety of adorable products like the Petit Bunny Gloss Bars.

What’s to love?

The TONYMOLY Liptone LipCare Stick comes in 3 flavors: Rose Blossom, Honey Moisture and Mint Light.

I got the Rose Blossom which has Bulgarian Rose Extract, Camellia Oil, Rosehip Oil and Shea Butter. This formula smells exactly like fresh cut roses and feels amazing on my lips.

However I’m not a huge fan of florals but that’s OK because I like the product so much. I’d really like to try the Light Mint which hasMediterranean Peppermint, Ceramide, Coconut Oil and Avocado Oil.

The Honey Moisture has New Zealand Manuka Honey, Shea Butter, Sunflower Seed Oil and Jojoba Oil.

Overall I really like these lipcare sticks!

Price: $10

Aveda Rosemary Mint Review

I have been a fan of the Aveda Rosemary Mint collection for years so I was thrilled when my husband got me the Rosemary Mint Shampoo, Conditioner and Hand & Body Wash for my birthday last month.

rmm

What’s to love?

The Aveda Rosemary Mint is one of my comfort scents. I am a huge fan of mint and this scent is a strong one. It’s a combination of “certified organic rosemary and peppermint with other pure flower and plant essences” and it reminds me of Christmas.

Aveda Rosemary Mint Shampoo – I use the shampoo when I feel like my hair needs a deep cleaning. This one makes my scalp tingle in a really good way and the smell from the lather is so strong and amazing. It really does wake me up as they say on the Aveda website.

Aveda Rosemary Mint Conditioner  The conditioner is equally strong in mint smell and it does a great job detangling my hair. I use this shampoo a few times a month for shine too.

Aveda Rosemary Mint Hand and Body Wash – This body wash is so fresh and minty and really does a good job of waking me up too. I love using it in the morning for aroma therapy, the mint smell is so refreshing. It’s got a nice lather and rinses clean too.

I also really want the new Aveda Rosemary Mint Body Polish. I’ve heard really good things about this gentle exfoliator.

The Aveda line is Made in the USA.

Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market Vegan Artesian Soaps

A Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market just opened up about a 1/2 hour from my house so we decided to do a road trip and check it out. Unfortunately all of greater Cleveland had the same idea. It was insane and while the store is really nice it was so crowded we barely made it out alive.

Luckily while we were standing in line I spotted a mountain of soap that was $2.99 and buy 1, get 1 free which was awesome. I grabbed 2 bars and wish I had snagged more.

What’s to love?

The Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market is Vegan, cruelty-free, chemical free, gluten free, paraben free, and biodegradable. I was so overwhelmed by the crowd I barley noticed which ones I grabbed. I think the black soap is called Active. It smells very citrusy and has charcoal in it. The green soap is Frankincense and Mir and has an earthy mint scent.

Both of these soaps lather into a smooth and creamy bubbles that feels amazing. The bars are hard too so I’m hoping they don’t get goopy on me. These are not glycerine soaps. A few of the ingredients include safflower seed oil, coconut oil organic beeswax and natural clays for pigment and Vitamin E. They feel very luxurious next time I’m there I want to try a few more scents.

Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub Review

One of the items I received in my Target January Beauty Box was the New Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub in Fresh Peppermint!

What’s to love?

Lately I am all over lip scrubs. I’ve tried a few over the last 6 months and am so happy with the results and this new one from Chapstick is no exception.

The Chapstick Total Hydration Lip Scrub contains Vitamin E and Coconut Oil for lip conditioning. I rubbed the white chunky sugar mixture onto my wet lips for a few seconds then wiped it off with a wash clothe and my lips looked and felt so much softer.

And the scent! Oh my gosh, the scent. I love peppermint and this lip scrub has the most perfectly creamy fresh peppermint smell ever. It’s on my desk right now and I’ve been taking a whiff all day.

Overall I’m now addicted to lip scrubs…which is a good thing…I think!

2016 Holiday ChapStick Flavors

I have a bunch of tweens to buy stocking stuffers for this year so I went to Walmart today on the hunt for some holiday ChapStick. Check out what I found!

cs

What’s to love?

I’ve been looking for Christymasy ChapStick this year and while I’ve found the 3 Pack Candy Cane set at Target I had not located any other flavors.

So today at Walmart I found Candy Cane (in a different design), Sugar Cookie (which smells amazing) and Green Tea Mint (which I find to be a fun holiday flavor). I’m still on the hunt for Gingerbread Kiss.

I am a ChapStick traditionalist too. Their formula always keeps my lips soft and kids love the holiday flavors. I love getting a few for purses, pockets and desks.

Anyone find any more ChapStick holiday flavors? Let me know.

Price: $1

Bath & Body Works Twisted Peppermint Shea & Sparkle Scrub Review

I’m on a bit of Bath & Body Works holiday overload but there are so many neat new products that I want to share with all of you like the Twisted Peppermint Shea & Sparkle Scrub which I can’t find online yet. I’m wondering if our store got a sneak preview of the new holiday products early because there are so many new things I’ve never seen before.

OK, now let’s talk about glitter for a minute before I review this awesome product! I kid you not when I say that it’s like a glitter bomb went off at Bath & Body Works this year. Everything is full of shimmer and that’s fine with me because there’s nothing I like more than glitter. Yep! I’m a middle-aged mom who loves anything glittery. Maybe it’s my ’80’s glam rock roots or maybe I just like shiny things! It’s probably both.

What’s to love?

I love peppermint almost as much as I love glitter. It’s funny, people either love peppermint or hate peppermint. I happen to love it and after Nov. 1st I even carry candy canes in my purse to suck on when I’m stressed out so it’s no surprise that I love the Bath & Body Works Twisted Peppermint line.

Aside from the amazing smell the new Twisted Peppermint scrub smells amazing and has a nice grit that worked great on exfoliating my skin. It’s also got little fleck of gold and silver glitter for a super festive experience. I also love how this formula moisturizes my skin. I’ve always love the B & BW’s Shea butter  line for helping my dry Winter skin.

You can evens see the glitter on my hand swatch. It’s beautiful and would make a great gift.

Bath & Body Works Winter’s Magic Foaming Hand Soap Review

I just got back from the Bath & Body Works $2.95 soap sale and got a nice haul.

Number one on my list was the new Winter’s Magic Foaming Hand Soap set that includes Fresh Sparkling Snow, Frosted Cranberry, Snow Kissed Citrus, Vanilla Snowflake, Winter White Woods, Sparkling Mint Blossom. I got 4 of the 6 but smelled them all.

wm1.jpg

First up I love the bottles, they are festive without being cartoony. The bottles also have a textured glitter which I love.

Vanilla Snowflake (Gold) – This classic warm vanilla and coconut scent is perfect for the bath or kitchen and a favorite of mine. It’s a bit different from the classic B&BW Vanilla Bean Noel which is nice.

Fresh Sparkling Snow (Blue) – This awesome kitchen scent is pear and melon with a “winter musk”. I think it smells fruity and spicy. It’s so good.

Sparkling Mint Blossom (Green) – I am a mint fanatic so adding another mint soap is fine by me. This one is a sugary mint and very Christmasy.

Winter White Woods (Clear) – This woodsy scent is white birch, juniper berry and vanilla. I love this scent for the guest bath. The bottle has pine cones which I love for the holidays.

Snow Kissed Citrus (Blue) – I have a ton of citrus scents so I passed on this sugary lemon one but it is really nice.

Frosted Cranberry (Red) – This is another great kitchen scent with a nice fruity smell. It’s so pretty too.

Overall I give this set a 10/10 for being so pretty and diverse. These soaps also makes great gifts!

Beauty Reviews, C.O. Bigelow

C.O. Bigelow – Spearmint Supreme 2X Lip Shine – No. 5 Review

I love mint. Anything with Peppermint or Spearmint is a favorite of mine. The only mint that grosses me out is Wintergreen. So I always keep a stash of C.O. Bigelow Lip Shine around for when I am craving mint!

What’s to love?

The “Spearmint Supreme 2X” gives the most potent minty scent for me. Total “skiing on a mountain in Switzerland” mint (although I don’t ski). I typically keep this  product in my purse and just apply over my lipstick for some shine and minty flavor. I feel more refreshed when I use mint in the Summer and Winter. It also moisturizes and freshens your breathe a bit which is great for after lunch when you don’t want to suck on a mint.

The Lip Shine is clear and not sticky. Just squeeze a dab out of the applicator and apply. As you can see it added a little shine to my Urban Decay Vice Lipstick.

I usually pick up a few of these Lip Shines at Bath & Body Works when they have a sale.
