NYX Gotcha Covered Waterproof Concealer Review

I received a full-sized tube of the NYX Gotcha Covered Waterproof Concealer in my June Target Box and I think it’s a quality product for a low price.

What’s to love?

I really like the NYX brand and the Gotcha Covered Waterproof Concealer does not disappoint. It comes in 20 shades and retails for $6. The shade I have is Medium GCC04.

I have to say that the formula consistency reminds me of the It Bye Bye Under Eye Waterproof Concealer in that it’s thick and covers anything! Gotcha Covered is infused with coconut oil and is super blendable so even though it goes on thick it blends out nicely. However being that it’s so thick I can’t use it on my entire face, I prefer BB or CC creams for that. I like Gotcha Covered for dark circle and blemish coverage.

It is very waterproof too, but easy to remove with make-up remover. For $6 I think this is an excellent prodcut and it’s going right in my make-up bag.

I was also excited to get this product in my Target Box which only cost $7 total and I got a whole bunch of other great things in the box.

Also be sure to check out my 2 June Target Box Unboxings on YouTube.

Ipsy February 2017 Glam Bag Review (with video)

I’m showcasing the February 2017 Ipsy Glam Bag today and I also decided to do a video! I really want to start doing more YouTube demos and reveals (here’s my channel) so do subscribe if you’d like!

What’s in the February 2017 Ipsy Bag?

This month is called # Ipsy Much love and the bag is denim with an orange border.

i

The Organic Pharmacy Lip & Eye Cream –  I have never heard of an eye and lip cream and didn’t quite know where to put it! In the video I applied it below my lip in the video…ooops. But it’s nice.

NYX Professional Makeup Butter™ Lipstick in Ripe Berry or LifeguardI love the NYX Butter line and this color is so pretty! It’s a perfect dark berry.

True Botanicals Resurfacing Moisture Mask – While this looks like a nice mask it was way to mango-y for me. Nice mask, but I’m personally not crazy about the fruit smell.

Hikari Cosmetics Cream Pigment Eye Shadow in Latte – This was my favorite product in the bunch! It’s so pigmented and shimmery with a beautiful coffee shade. I love this product.

h.jpg

Royal & Langnickel Royal & Langnickel MODA Fan Brush – I love this super soft fan brush, I don’t have one so it’s a welcome addition to the mix.

Overall I give this month a 10/10. The NYX lipstick and the Hikari eyeshadows are my favorites and the other 3 products are very nice.

NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour Review

I picked up this NYX Sculpt & Highlight Brow Contour from target today because I love having a dual ended pencil like this, however I had mixed results.

What’s to love?

I love having a highlighter and pencil in one product so I was excited to see that NYX had this kind of product.  I got the Soft Pink/Auburn Shade because I wanted to try something with red undertones. The shades are very pretty.

But…this is the first NYX product that I’m not completely in love with. The Soft Pink side is great as a highlighter however the Auburn side is hard and brittle. I could barley apply it to my brows and it smudged all of the place. I kind of looked like an auburn lashed Grocho Marx which no one wants to see!

So the “good” is that I’m going to stick this into my make-up bag because I like the highlighter end and I can always use the other side as a pen! See turning everything into a positive there! The packaging is also great with twist ups on both sides and this product has very little scent. It is Made in Taiwan.

I have seen users who do love this product so it could just be me. Has anyone else tried one of these pencils?

I can’t believe it’s Dec. 31st. I started beauty blogging on June 10th of 2016 and have blogged every single day which feels amazing. Looking back over this past year I’ve found 10 “can’t live without” beauty products that I want to share today on my Best of Beauty list for 2016. Enjoy and Happy New Year!

bestof2016

Number One – GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

I had never heard of GlamGlow before starting my blog but now I’m addicted! The YouthMud Tinglexfoliate does wonders on my skin. It burns a little upon application but I swear I look a few years younger when I wipe it off! It’s a bit pricey but completely worth it!

Number Two – Tarte Swamp Queen Palette by Grav3YardGirl

My entire family is delighted by Bunny, her reviews crack me up and her silly spirit always puts me in a good mood so when I saw she had a Tarte palette I had to get on board and I’m glad I did. This vanilla scented palette is simply gorgeous. Uncommon is my go-to shade and it blends perfectly with Mancat (I love that name too)!

Number ThreeLush!

Oh man! I truly can’t pick just one Lush product for my list. I literally love them all. The Bath Bombs, Bubble Bars, Shampoo Bars (these saved my hair), Masks…it’s just too hard to choose. I love Lush so much I even created a rather funny ode to Luscius Malfoy this year – If Lucius Malfoy Shopped At Lush…

p4.jpg

Number Four – Urban Decay Full Frontal Reloaded Vice Lipstick Set

I am a huge fan of the Urban Decay Vice Lipstick. This product stays in place has amazing pigmentation and is one of my favorites. So when this little 5 pack set went on sale I grabbed it up!

After using the NYX Pore Filler for a few months now I’m addicted. I have large pores on my cheeks and nose and this stuff fills them in and leaves my skin soft and smooth.
