Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple – Ombré Radiance Blush Palette Review

I am super excited that I got to try the Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple – Ombré Radiance Blush Palette from my July Ipsy Glam Bag.

Trifle Cosmetics is this super cute company that has a lot of delicious looking products and they are 100% Cruelty-Free, Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben Free and they use Recyclable Packaging Printed With Soy Ink. Their Sugar Bunny Heavenly Lip Scrub looks so good too!

First up packaging is really cute with colorful graphics on the outer package (it reminds me of the Balm a bit) and the case is black with hot pink lettering.

The blush itself is cute but small and at first I thought this was a sample size however on their website it says Poids Net Wt. 3g / 0.11 oz. for $17.95 and that’s the size I received in my Ipsy bag, so it is on the small size.

The blush itself is very pretty and pigmented. You get 3 light-enhancing shades in a light pink, a pink/coral and darker pink shade on the right which has “pure Resveratrol to help give color, moisture & reduce hyperpigmentation“.

I do wish this palette was fruit or cookie scented, I think it would fit with their brand. To me this blush has a but of a strong earthy scent.

I think this is a nice blush but it’s a but on the pricey side for me.

According to their site it also has…

  • No Mineral Oils
  • No Phthalates
  • Fragrance-Free
  • No Parabens
  • With Resveratrol to assist in keeping skin hydrated and healthy
  • With Coated Colour Pigments for 8 hours of wear
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

NYX Ombre Lip Duo Review

Total honesty here…I was expecting to hate the NYX Ombre Lip Duo in Peaches & Cream. I got it as part of the Summer 2016 Kandee Johnson Beauty Con Box.

This product looks super orange on the box and while I imagined my 17-year-old Boy George loving self might like it I didn’t think my 2016 self would want to wear it out of the house. But…I was kind of wrong.

What’s to love?

This lip pencil has two ends. A dark orange thin liner and a thicker lighter orange side for the middle of your lips. Application is a breeze, the product is really nice and smooth. However after you line your lips with the dark orange you kind of look like a clown. It’s not until you fill in the center with the gold and blend that you get the final look which has a semi-matte finish.

I was pleasantly surprised with the final result. It actually looks pretty good although I’m not a huge fan of orange lipstick. I would like to try a wine or pink color next.

I was also totally impressed that this product was Made in the USA and had very low odor. This is my first time trying anything from NYX and I’d like to try more. The lip pencil costs $12 and it’s definitely worth it.

Small tip – Make sure you twist the pencil down before you cap it. I squished mine a little and had to do some surgery. Happy to report that it survived.
