Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminating Veil Review

I’ve been using the Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminating Veil from my Glossybox Limited Edition Pink Diamond Box and it’s a great illuminator that’s Vegan, cruelty free, fragrance free, Paraben and organic.

What’s to love?

If you’re looking for a highlighting veil that’s not over glittery this just might work for you. I was thrilled to have finally found a highlighter that doesn’t dry out my skin (it has Argan oil) and gives me a nice glow without the glitter. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good shimmer but sometimes I just want some glow.

It is “infused with madonna lily and poet’s narcissus to help brighten” which it does for me. It has very tiny sparkles that gives my skin a nice champagne glow. It looks pretty up close and from a distance.

I actually use a light sweep this powder on my entire face and do no get any creasing or caking. It does have a “barely there” feeling which I like on my light make-up days. It is a bit more powdery than creamy but not at all chalky and it is buildable. It also has decent lasting power, I usually touch up every 3-4 hours.

Overall I’m very happy with this product.

I received a complimentary (free) Freeze 24/7 Ice Serum Advanced Brightening Facial Serum this week. This new serum features “an exclusive White Strawberry Extract and a powerful peptide to give skin a radiant glow.” All opinions are my own.

What’s to love?

First up I love the pump, it’s easy to use and very stylishly designed. The product itself is white with purple aura and it smells amazing.

The Freeze 24/7 Ice Serum Advanced Brightening Facial Serum ingredients include:

  • Exclusive White Strawberry Extract – Helps with dark spots and facilitate the production of Melanin.
  • Regu Fade or a Pure form of Resveratrol – This is a powerful anti-oxidant.
  • Optical Radiance Booster – Mica that gives an illuminating effect.
  • New Matrixyl Synthe 6 – A powerful peptide.
  • Licorice Root Extract – Supports brightening and  evening.
  • Sodium Hyaluronate – Nourishes and hydrates skin

I’ve been using the Freeze 24-7 Ice Serum Advanced Brightening Facial Serum for a few days now and I’m very impressed. I apply a small amount to my face and rub in well.

As you know I’m 47-years-old and I can always use a little anti-aging help! Upon initial application my skin does look much brighter, I love this illuminating effect and I feel like after just one application my face looks softer. The product does do an amazing job hydrating my dry spots and I’m excited to see what it does on my age spots after a few weeks.

Overall I’m very impressed with this product and I’d like to try a few more things from 24/7.

Bath & Body Works Oahu Coconut Sunset Review

Bath & Body Works has a new line of Hawaii scents that includes Oahu Coconut Sunset which is actually a redo scent from a few years ago with packaging. I really love this Hawaiian coconut scent.

The top notes are Birds of Paradise, Coconut Blossom, Sparkling Bergamot. The mid notes are Seductive Tuberose, Tiger Lily, Hawaiian Monoi and the dry notes are Sensual Labdanum, Molten Amber, Cream Suede Accord.

However to me it just smells very Hawaiian! You get this scent in the Ultra Shea Body Cream, Body Lotion, Shower Gel, Fine Fragrance Mist, Aloe Gel Lotion and the Sand & Sea Salt Scrub.

Oahu Coconut Sunset Ultra Shea Body Cream which feels amazing. This  one really does a great job of moisturizing my skin. It has Aloe Butter, Cocoa Butter and Coconut Oil in it and it’s not greasy for me.

Oahu Coconut Sunset Fine Fragrance Mist – I usually don’t like the fragrance mist products but this one is very nice. It seems lighter than the Christmas scents and the spray is a very, very fine mist. Once the spray settles is smells pretty amazing.

Oahu Coconut Sunset Sand & Sea Salt Scrub – I am so excited about the new Sand & Sea Salt Scrub. This one has Polynesian sand and real sea salt which makes for a great exfoliant and it smells amazing. It seriously feels like I’m at the beach. I love that Bath & Body works is coming out with new scrubs.

My 5 Minute Make-Up Challenge

Oh the trials of getting everyone out the door in the morning. If you’re a mom like me you know that that it’s hard to juggle lunch and homework and the dog and finding your husbands keys. Not to mention getting yourself dressed and ready.

Now that I’m over 40 I rarely leave the house without make-up on. Last year I even insisted on applying lipstick before my husband carted me off to the hospital ER with pneumonia.

So I decided to take the YouTube 5 Minute Make-Up Challenge and I think I did pretty good. I used just 7 products (you can see them listed below) and I actually feel like I can face the grocery store with a smile.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment for Dark Circle – My dark circles look like I’ve spent too much time in the Hogwarts dungeons. Luckily the Age Rewind makes them disappear like magic? OK, bad joke.

It Cosmetics Je Ne Sais Quoi Complexion Perfection – The Bye Bye Pore Pressed and Blush in this palette evens out my skin and give me some rosy cheeks.

Revlon Ultra HD Gel Lipcolor – This is my new favorite lip stick. It glides on and make my lips shiny. It also smells pretty good too.

Clinique Chubby Stick Shadow Tint For Eyes in Lots O’Latte  – I love these Chubby Sticks when I’m pressed for time. They glide on and give great color.

The BrowGal Highlighter Pencil – The Brow Gal Highlighter Pencil wakes my eyes up in the morning. Wide awake? Yes!

Clinique Chubby Lash Fattening Mascara – Thin lashes no more with my Clinique mascara!

Revlon ColorStay Brow Crayon – This Revlon Brow Crayon gives me a little color on my brows.

So there you have it! 4 minutes and 45 seconds later I’m good to roll out the door looking pretty good.
