Check out my December 2017 Sephora Play Box video reveal!
Valentine’s Day is creeping up fast and I’ve been hinting to my husband that I’d prefer make-up over chocolate and I even bought myself The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Set last week and it was a total treat. So I did some research to find 5 luxury finds that I wouldn’t mind showing up on February 14th. The prices go up as the list progresses. I seriously need to win the lottery!
Lush Happy Valentine’s Day Wrapped Gift
This Valentine’s Day gift set from Lush is $46.95 and included a Sex Bomb Bath Bomb, Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar, The Kiss Lip Scrub, Prince Charming Shower Gel and Ro’s Argan Self-Preserving. I love the box and the bow too!

Lancôme La Rôse Blush Poudrer
If you can find one of these amazing rose petal smoothing powders you’re in luck. They are gorgeous but seem to be sold out everywhere. They cost $60 if you can find one. It’s so pretty I’m not sure I could make myself use this.

Peter Thomas Roth Mask Vault
I have the smaller version of this set and love it! This set costs $225 because you get 6 large jars. I love how luxurious the Peter Thomas Roth masks are and 24k Gold in one of my favorites.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick Stockpile
I think I would faint if I got an Urban Decay Lipstick vault. This 30 lipstick set sells for $325 and looks simply amazing. You get a wide variety of shades that would probably last at least until Christmas.

La Mer ‘The Moisturizing Soft Cream’
Back in July I got a tiny jar of the La Mer ‘The Moisturizing Soft Cream’ in my Allure Beauty Box but a 3.4 oz jar sells for $465. Alas it was a bit out of my budget to restock but wow did it make my skin look good.
So there you have it! 5 ideas for Valentine’s Day that might break your budget but will certainly warm your heart.
All I can say is…”Why didn’t I try this product sooner”? A few weeks ago I got my mom the Peter Thomas Roth 5 pack mask set at Sephora and I’ve tried the Irish Moor Mud and 24K Gold and loved them both.
So today I tired the Rose Stem Cell and I’m thrilled with the results.
What’s to love?
Peter Thomas Roth and GlamGlow are my two all time favorite masks at the moment. I use GlamGlow for deep exfoliating and Peter Thomas Roth for repair and moisturizing.
According the the PTR website the Rose Stem Cell which contains five rose plant stem cells which are Rose Commiphora, Desert Rose, Damas Rose, Pale Rose and White Rose and they are blended with four rose extracts which are Rosa Damascena, Rosa Canina, Rose Hip Seed and Rose Water. So a lot of rose going on there!
I applied to mask to my clean face. It is a gel and feels cool and smooth to the touch. It has a light floral smell that’s also fresh and clean smelling, very nice and now overpowering. I covered my entire face with a fairly thick coating and let it set for 10 minutes. I’ll have to say that during the 10 minutes my face felt amazing and moist.
I wiped it off with a cool washcloth as directed and I swear there was less product on my face than I started with. I feel like it absorbed into my skin which was cool. Afterwards my skin looked very smooth and my pores seemed a lot smaller (and I have huge pores on my nose, cheeks and skin).
Overall I loved this mask and intend to keep using it a few times a week to calm and soothe my skin.
Now that it’s past August 1st everything Fall and Halloween is fair game! I’m the girl who has her Halloween decorations up in August so it’s only fitting for me to start finding Fall beauty products. Here’s some of the best Pumpkin Beauty Products that I’ve tried and are on my wish list for 2016!
What do YOU want to see in Pumpkin scents and colors this Fall?
Bath and Body Works Marshmallow Pumpkin Latter Body Cream
The product smells amazing! I could seriously sniff it all day. A wonderful blend of sweet pumpkin and light latte. The Shea Butter cream is also one of my favorite Bath and Body Works products. I use it only arms for moisturizing and aroma therapy!
Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask
I am in love with the Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. This one smells just like pumpkin pie and leaves your face so smooth and clean. It’s a great exfoliator yet didn’t leave my face dry. It burns a little when it’s on but after I washed it off there was no irritation.
Burt’s Bees Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm
I am heading to Target tomorrow in search of the 100% Natural Burt’s Bees Pumpkin Spice Lip Balm. I believe I had this at some point in my life and I loved it. Of course I love anything that’s pumpkin spice.

Jeffree Star Pumpkin Spice Latte Lip Scrub
I have never tried the Jeffree Star line but it looks really nice. He’s got a really cool looking Pumpkin Spice Lip Scrub that’s Vegan and edible which is super cool. This one is on my wish list for Fall!

My face is really looking good today! After using my Let the Good Times Roll Cleanser this morning I decided to do a Friday night mask and chose the Peter Thomas Roth 24k Gold. I actually got a 5 pack of Peter Thomas Roth masks for my mom for her birthday but of course she let me try them out.
What’s to love?
First up 24k is gold! I mean really gold so that makes it mesmerizing to look at, but it’s also fun to apply. The texture is like a thick bouncy jelly and it goes on super smooth. Just slather on your face to cover. In a few minutes I looked like C-3PO’s sister.
You’re supposed to leave this mask on for 5-10 minutes and the claim is that it will tighten, lift, smooth, firm, brighten and refresh. I found this to be a super mild mask with no burning or tightening while it was on.
I kept my 24k mask on for the full 10 minutes. After that time it just gets sticky to the touch. This is not a peel off mask so it doesn’t dry completely.
I easily removed it with a wash cloth and warm water. It came off completely with no remaining residue.
Afterwards I did notice that my skin seemed a bit brighter and smoother. I didn’t feel an obvious tightening and I had no redness which is why I got this pack for my mom. I am hoping she has the same results.
I want to use 24k a few more times to see if I get the anti-aging effects. Overall I’m really happy with the results and am hoping that I see less fine lines over time.
A few weeks ago I tried the Irish Moor Mud Mask and really liked it because it was not harsh and odor free so my 71-year-old mom started using it with great results. She has very delicate skin and is allergic to everything. This is one of the only products that she’s been able to use so I decided to get her the new Purifying Cleansing Gel.
What’s to love?
The Purifying Cleansing Gel is extremely mild on both my mom and I. I actually need a bit more grit on my oily face but she loves this gel because it does not irritate her skin. The formula (like the mud) contains Irish Moor Mud, Hijiki Seaweed and Volcanic Ash.
It is also great for my breaks-out. My chin is a mess this week from hormonal acne and this has been my saving grace. It does contain 0.4% Salicylic Acid so that might be helping me too.
It’s super easy to use the black gel, just add some water and rub on your face. It is low lather though when you apply the gel but gets a bit bubbly when you wash it off. It feels so soft and amazing on my skin. I use a dark wash cloth for both the mud and the cleansing gel because the mud does seem to stain a bit.
The 8.5 oz bottle is huge and you only need a tiny amount so I suspect this will last for a very long time.
Over all I’m very impressed with this product and will be using it to calm my face and help with break-outs. I’m also thrilled that my mom found something that she can use.
Today I tested out the Peter Thomas Roth Irish Moor Mask and I felt like I had dipped my face in the La Brea Tar Pits, but in a good way!
What’s to love?
Aside from feeling like Wilma Flintstone I enjoyed this mask. It’s not a clay or peel-off mask but it’s more like a gel-cream. It’s smooth with a bit of elasticity and as it dries it turns slightly sticky. It was also super easy to remove. I was expecting a big mess but I just wiped it with a hot washcloth and it came right off.
I did a little research and the mask is Irish Moor Mud, Hijiki Seaweed and Activated Charcoal. It’s supposed to purify, boost and hydrate your skin.
I was super happy with the results. For me this was a mild mask that gave me no redness or irritation. My pores looked smaller and my face was a little smoother afterwards.
I tend to like the more exfoliating masks but I’m going to use this one on my moisturizing days. Being 46 I’m now worrying about fine lines and wrinkles so I think this mask will help address my aging issue. I’m excited to use it again.
