I have to say my new favorite hair brand is Bumble & bumble. I picked up the Seaweed Conditioner this week and I love it!
What’s to love?
The Bumble and bumble Seaweed Conditioner is very light and is a thinner consistency than a lot of conditioners I’ve used however that does not mean it’s ineffective.
After shampooing with the Lush Big Shampoo I applied about a quarter sized drop to my chin length hair. It was easy to work into my thick hair and the smell is amazing. It’s a fresh lime scent with a sea salt undertone. It’s so fresh and pretty. It also did a nice job of detangling my hair.
It was also very easy to rinse out and after a few uses I noticed that my hair has been super shiny and manageable. It does a great job on my frizz and I feel like every time I use it my hair looks better.
Overall I love it! This is going to be my new Summer conditioner and I’d like to try a few more products from Bumble and bumble.
Ingredients include: Ascophyllum Nudosum Extract, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Sea Kelp) Extract and Spirulina Maxima Extract
Price: $25
The Bunble and bumble Seaweed Conditioner is part of my May Beauty Favorites!
I picked up a tub of the Lush Big Shampoo with my Easter order after I tried a sample from the Lush store. Because it is pricey and $27.95 I wanted to make sure I liked it first, I didn’t just like it, I loved it!
What’s to love?
I wasn’t sure what to except with this shampoo. I was a bit hesitant that the sea salt might be drying but boy was I wrong. A tiny bit of Big goes a long way too.
To use I take about a tablespoon of the salt crystal formula and start lathering it on the top of my head. From there it gets super fluffy and it worked into my hair very smoothly. The scent is amazing, it’s fresh and smells like the ocean.
Big has Coarse, Sea Salt, Fresh Organic Lemon Infusion, Sea Water, Bladderwrack Seaweed Infusion, Fresh Organic Lime Juice and Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and a few more oils.
Big rinses completely clean for me and leaves my hair fresh and literally Big, but in a nice way. I had no drying issues at all, my hair actually felt more healthy after using Big so now I am totally hooked. Because of the cost I use this one 2-3 times a week and alternate with the Lush Shampoo Bars.
I also share the Big Shampoo in my Lush 2017 Easter Haul!
I happen to be a huge fan of Severus Snape and Lush and Harry Potter. Did I mention I’m a Harry Potter fanatic?
Anyway, last Fall I did a If Lucius Malfoy Shopped At Lush… post for fun as I wasn’t quite sure Professor Snape would wander into Lush. But I’ve since changed my mind. I can actually see Severus sneaking along the soap wall, Lush basket in hand with a sour smirk on his face trying not to be noticed.
While Lucius was all about shampooing those blond locks, I think Severus would be more appreciative of the herbal benefits of Lush. So my first pick for Severus Snape is going to be…
Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser
Ironically Aqua Marina this is not one of my favorite scents, it was just a bit too strong for my nose but I imagine that Severus would be enthralled by the “mineral-rich nori seaweed”. In fact this looks like something you might find in the potions closet and he probably needs a good cleansing kaolin clay being that he’s in the dirty dungeon for a good deal of his classes.
Lush Sea Vegetable Soap
I really don’t really think that Severus wants to smell like luscious lavender but Sea Vegetable? Yes indeed. Unbeknownst to him he might even elicit a passing smile from the ladies at Hogwarts from this ocean scented delight.
“The Comforter” Bubble Bar
I’m going to make a grand assumption here and possibly mess with the Harry Potter canon by thinking that just maybe Severus Snape enjoys a good bubble bath after berating students and plotting with (and against) the Dark Lord all day. The Comforter Bubble Bar has got blackcurrant and citrus to wash away the grime and relax even the most jaded resident of Hogwarts.
Lush Shine So Bright
While the Harry Potter books allude to Professor Snape being a greasy haired git, we all know better. Severus just has very misunderstood hair and I’m sure a little Shine So Bright would rev up those black tresses so they shine like a raven.
This Jelly Bomb screams Severus Snape and being that it used to be called Dark Arts I’m wondering if it was inspired by him. Now it’s just called Secret Arts and it still screams Severus Snape. I believe that Professor Snape would love Brazilian orange oil, Cinnamon Leaf Oil and Sweet Almond essential oil that makes up this unique formula.
I also think that Severus might even ask for a few free samples at the counter. After all, he’s not as wealthy as Lucious and who in their right mind would turn down a free sample pot of Hair Custard.
I do believe he’d nick a tub of Dark Angels from Lucius too!

I ventured out to Lush today and got a nice haul that I want to share with all of you. Now if you’ve never been to a Lush store and go for the first time be prepared for a real treat. The smell when you first walk in is so incredibly amazing. It’s a mix of fresh fruit, earthy floral, herbs, the ocean chocolate, vanilla and about 27 other scents you’ll want to learn about.
I think Sea Vegetable is definitely on my Top 10 Favorite Lush soap. This one is a beautiful opaque aqua color with black swirls and it looks like the ocean. Then on the top of the soap it’s got a crust of stimulating sea salt that’s is amazing for exfoliation.
Sea Vegetable also has lime, lavender and seaweed absolute and my skin feels so soft and invigorated when I use it. This scent is to relaxing to me, it really feels like a spa product.

I’m also starting a series of 2-minute Lush videos just to give you a little more information about the product. This one also has a little demo of the soap at the end. I hope you enjoy it.
The Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb is one of my favorites. I ordered this bath bomb online and it came wrapped in clear cellophane which can cause the product to get a bit crumbly upon opening. So if you have a Lush store near by I recommend a visit. The visual experience of picking out bath bombs at Lush is amazing too.
Why I love the Lush Big Blue Bath Bomb.
Big Blue delivers a burst of color and scent that will fill your bathroom with Lavender and Lemon, but the thing I like best is the seaweed. You get Arame Seaweed and Seaweed Absolute in Big Blue which makes for a soothing bath experience. Your skin will feel amazing after a good soak. The only strange part is that the bomb is literally shedding seaweed pieces the entire time which makes you feel a little like you’re swimming with Dory and Nemo.
