Bath & Body Works NEW Tiare Monoi Body Oil Review

The NEW Bath & Body Work Tiare Monoi Body Oil is so shimmery and pretty and it’s also one of my favorites in the new Spring collection.

What’s to love?

The gold shimmery Tiare Monoi Body Oil smells like Summer. It has Tiare Flowers, Gardenia Water, Coconut Oil, Ocean Breeze & Solar Musks.

From Bath & Body Works…

Tiare monoi oil, made from Tahitian gardenia blossoms steeped in coconut oil, has been a beloved skin-conditioning secret throughout Polynesian history. Our illuminating Tiare Monoi Body Oil leaves skin feeling soft and beautiful with a long-lasting, subtle sheen.

The oil itself is very smooth and not greasy. Once I get it rubbed it my skin feels moisturized and so smooth. The shimmer just gives my skin a nice glow but  it’s rubbed it not glittery — it gives my skin a beautiful sheen!

I also like using a tiny, tiny bit on my hair for extra shine and the coconut scent.

Bath & Body Works Halloween Wicked Apple Shimmer Fizz Body Lotion

Oh my gosh! The new Bath & Body Works Halloween Wicked Apple Shimmer Fizz Body is like nothing I have ever seen before…and it’s so cool — literally.

This “potion” sprays out fast like Spider-Man’s web, crackles like fireworks and is as cold as the dungeons at Hogwarts. This is some seriously powerful stuff.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I got it but here’s the scoop. It sprayed out kind of like a bubbly, fizzy foam then turned my hand ice cold as it was crackling. Once the bubbles subside it turns into a soft shimmery lotion. I love the light sparkles for Halloween.

The scent is forbidden apple, black rose & haunted cinnamon woods which is amazing!

This is such a fun product for Halloween and I am really loving it now.

Beauty Reviews, Your Best Friend

Your Best Friend Gelus Eyes 5-Piece Collection Review

I received a complimentary (free) Gelus Eyes 5-piece Collection from Your Best Friend. All opinions are my own.

This set of 5 mini-eyeliners fits neatly in a cute tin and you get 5 shades including from left to right…

  • wonderful white
  • stunning silver
  • cheering chocolate
  • beYOUtiful bronze
  • onyx pearl

Each water resistant shade has a shimmer, sparkle or pearl finish. You can also get this set in a colorful collection and includes: golden green, mischevious maroon, luminous lavender, naughty navy and pearlized pink (not pictured).

According to YBF…”the new sophisticated technology gel liners that contain special reflective pearls (shades) for multi-dimensional colour that can be worn alone or layered for an intensified effect!

When I tested these liners out I was so impressed with how smoothly they applied to both my waterline and under eye. For me they glided on effortlessly and the color stayed in place.

My two favorite shades so far are the beYOUtiful bronze and the cheering chocolate (brown) but I really want to experiment with wonderful white.

I like the gel formula (it’s infused with antioxidants, emollients and Vitamin E) as it does feel very moisturizing on my skin. I also found these liners to have great staying power. Being over 40 I need a soft no-tug liner and these work for me! They also have a twist-up stick for easy use.

Retail Price: $28.50

The YBF Gelus Collection is part of my May Beauty Favorites!

Essie, Nail Polish Reviews

Essie Imported Bubbly Nail Polish Review

I was in the mood for a light pearly polish today so I chose the Essie Imported Bubbly shade and it’s just beautiful!

What’s to love?

Essie is one of my all time favorite luxury nail polish brands. It always gives me long wear and a flawless look. The formula also has a very even consistency that applies without being goopy or sticky.

I chose the Imported Bubbly shade because of the pearl sheen and beautiful golden beige finish. I think it looks really nice for everyday wear and the color cheers me up in the cold weather. I also love that it goes with any color clothing!

It is also DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and Made in the USA. It it on the pricey side so I tend to pick up a bottle when I have a coupon. I got this bottle for free with my Kohl’s $10 birthday cash.

Price $9

SinfulColors Purple Diamond Review

My nails are a complete mess! I’ve been cleaning my spare room so I can turn it into my make-up studio and I managed to chip just about all my nails. So today I cut and polished them with SinfulColors in Purple Diamond.

What’s to love?

My collection of SinfulColors is always growing. At $1.99 I love picking up a new shade that catches my eye and I find the quality of this polish to be really good. It’s also Made in the USA and Toluene, Formaldehyde & DBP Free.

I love this shade of purple too. It’s super light and gives off just the right amount of shimmer and shine. It reminds me of Spring Lilacs which is nice because I am getting really sick of Winter.

I also want to check out their new collections which are…

Kandee Johnson which has a really cool pink that I want called Pin Up Pink.

Swak – Sinful with a Kiss for Valentine’s Day. I must have the fuchsia rEADie or Not shade!

Luck of the Stylish for St. Patrick’s Day. Gilded Goddess in gold is amazing looking.

All New Colors which has some pretty shades.

Pride which is a beautiful rainbow of colors. I like the Envious in green.

Urban Decay Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow Review

I used my Urban Decay Rewards to get a discount on the Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow and I’m glad I did! This stuff is liquid glitter!

A little side note too. As soon as the temps get back over 30 degrees Im going back outside for my photos for better lighting. Right now it’s a -5 wind chill an I think my liquid glitter would freeze solid!

md

What’s to love?

The Urban Decay Liquid Moondust Eyeshadow is definitely a high quality product. It’s a new product that came out after the Moondust Eyeshadow Palette. There are 8 shades including Solstice (pink), Vega (bright blue), Spacetime (brown), Zodiac (green), Zap (dark gold), Recharged (coral/gold), Chem Trail (gold) and Magnetic (purple).

I had a hard time choosing between Magnetic and Recharged but finally went with Recharged because it has a nice two-tone of coral an gold. It is definitely iridescent.

The applicator is a tiny brush and it’s fairly easy to apply. However you have to remember that it is liquid glitter so it goes on a little different than powder. It takes each application about 20-30 second to dry and I use my finger to smudge it a little.

This product is buildable so you can add more than one coat for an even more glittery look. I am wearing two coats in the photo below and fee like this is a casual enough look for every day wear. It’s very pretty! I’m feeling very Rock Starish at the moment.

I did use the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion as a base and I’m wearing the Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara.

I also feel like you could use this product as a highlighter. The glitter is super fine and it’s easy to blend with your finger.

Overall I’m super impressed with the Liquid Moondust and now I really want the purple shade! I do wish Urban Decay would come out with a mini set that included all 8 shades. Hint! Hint! for Christmas 2017.

Price: $22

Ulta Holiday Shimmer & Shine 4 Piece Nail Collection Review

I was going to give this Ulta Holiday Shimmer & Shine 4 Piece Nail Collection as a sticking stuffer but it’s so pretty I decided to keep it for myself. Luckily Ulta is doing more great sales on stocking stuffers this week.

What’s to love?

I love how festive this set is. It’s perfect for Christmas or New Year’s. In this set you get 4 mini nail polishes including Hustle & Bustle (red glitter), Festive (red shimmer), Sleigh Bells (silver glitter) and Twinkling (bronze shimmer).

The nail polish is free of formaldehyde, DBP and Toulene and it’s Made in the USA.

L’Oreal Nail Color In Pop The Bubbles Review

Tomorrow I’m sitting at the kids table for Thanksgiving dinner so I thought it would be fun to wear some sparkly nail polish so I chose L’Oreal Nail Color In Pop The Bubbles.

img_6832

What’s to love?

This is the first time I have tried L’Oreal nail polish and I have to say it’s really nice. One coat gave me amazingly good coverage and two coats looks like liquid blue glitter in glass. It’s so pretty and shimmery under the light I love it!

I also liked that this L’Oreal nail polish seems to have a lower odor for me and I it applies like a high-end polish like O.P.I. or Essie and at $6.99 is a really good deal.

The color is also amazing. Like a snowy blue. This would be a great color for New Year Eve too.

I really want to try some more L’Oreal nail polish colors soon.

I feel like it gives me just the right shine which makes me feel young and glowy…Is glowy a word? This powder is so fine too, I am in love with this highly pigmented shade! Full-Sized price: $38
