Supergoop Shine-On Lipscreen Review

I received a full-sized Supergoop Shine-On Lipscreen in my Glossybox Limited Edition CEW Awards Box and I’m excited to use it this Spring and Summer.

What’s to love?

sgSupergoop reminds me that Summer is near and I’m in love with this SPF 50 top-coat. I simply use the brush to swipe a little shine on my lipstick for sunscreen protection. The brush is easy to use and I love that it give my color some gloss.

Shine-On has grape polyphenols and sunflower seed oil which helps with dehydration too. The product is a clear gloss and has a very faint scent and taste that reminds me a bit of sunscreen but it’s not offensive. It feel more like a moisturizer on my lips that a gloss and and do get long wear (4-6 hours).

It is is cruelty-free and does not contain synthetic fragrance or oxybenzone. It is also free of  Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

Retail Price: #22

What’s to love?

This cream has  Monï ( Tiaré flower in coconut oil) of French Polynesia and it smells amazing! It has a light floral scent mixed with coconut. I’ve been using it all week and it’s not only great for after sun care but also as a moisture cream. My hands are so soft after using it.

It’s also unique because it’s Made In France which just adds to the mystique. It feels kind of luxurious to use a French cream!

De Bruyère Paris is a 100% beauty french touch with unique target to make girls happy, pretty and easily, everywhere anytime.

Beauty Reviews, Drunk Elephant

Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 Review

The one thing that I love about beauty boxes is trying new products. I got the Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30 in my May 2017 Allure Beauty Box and I am loving the Drunk Elephant brand now!

What’s to love?

I am always on the look-out for sunscreen that doesn’t have a lot of chemical and I’m pretty excited about the Drunk Elephant Umbra. This sunscreen is Cruelty-Free and they even have a blacklist of ingredients not in their products. This sunscreen is 20% Zinc Oxide which I love.

According to Drunk Elephant it has “potent antioxidants like astaxanthin, grape juice extract and sunflower shoot extract to help defend from free radicals and environmental aggressors. Infused with raspberry seed and marula oils“.

I am also loving the very light earthy smell and after using it for about a week I am thrilled with the results. It’s non-greasy and my skin feeling very smooth and hydrated while getting the sun protection.

I definitely want to pick up the full-sized tube for $34 and try some more Drunk Elephant products.

Beauty Reviews, Tarte

Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Review

I received a full-sized Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in my March 2017 Glossybox and I am loving this product now that it’s starting to get sunny out.

It’s Tarte’s first non-chemical sunscreen with active ingredients of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. I really love having zinc in a sunscreen.

 What’s to love?

I am really loving this sunscreen for my face. It has maracuja, red algae, soybean extract, apple extract, honeysuckle extract, sodium hyaluronate and Vitamin E.

I do feel like it gives me extra moisture and I love the sun protection. The white creamy formula rubs in quickly and it’s got a very pleasant (and light) citrus/floral scent.

It  did not make my face feel greasy which I really liked. Most facial sunscreens feel heavy to me. I am also able to easily apply my make-up over the top.

I think this is my new favorite facial sunscreen and the bottle is so pretty and it has a rubberized texture so it’s non-slip.

Retail Price: $32

Beauty Reviews, Clinique

Clinique Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen Targeted Protection Stick Review

I hate sunscreen, however being pale and blonde it is a necessity and every year I try new brands to get the perfect fit. This year I think I found it.

I am in love with the Clinique Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen Targeted Protection Stick.

clinique

Why I love this the Clinique SPF 45 Stick.

This is one of the only sunscreen sticks that does not affect my skin. No rash or allergy problems which is the biggest plus. I also love the smell (or lack thereof). I hate smelly, chemically sunscreen and this Clinique stick has neither. It has a very, very, very light citrus smell and it protects you from the sun perfectly. My kid loves this product too.

The texture is more oily than creamy (although it is oil free) and applies completely clear. It also conditions your skin while protecting it which is great for those of us (like me) who worry about the aging effects of the sun.

My only problem is with the size. The tube is pricey for whole body use so I limit this to my face and hands although I have used a bit on my shoulders too. Clinique says it’s for  “eye-area skin, lips, nose, earlobes, even scars.” I wish they had a larger stick. Clinique does have an Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Cream but I much prefer the stick.
