Happy National Lipstick Day — Here’s 5 Unique Lipsticks You Might Just Want!

Who would’t love a day dedicated to lipstick? I am a complete lipstick junky and I collect unusual lipstick cases and brands and I wanted to share 5 of my favorites for National Lipstick Day.

Here’s goes!

Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait

The Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait Exotic Fruit shade reminds me of a shade from the 60’s is a light sherbet pink. It’s also vegan and Hypoallergenic.

Your Best Friend Fall in Love Lipstick

The packaging so so classy and useful on this one. The lipstick comes in a black tube with a neat trick! When you pull out the lipstick a mirror pops up which I love. The lipstick is a beautiful dark rich berry and one of my favorite shades.

Maison Jacynthe Lipstick in Bordeaux Mate

The lipstick tube is so unique and pretty. The cap of the tube is wood and silver and feel like a quality piece. This lipstick itself is a brick shade that’s a creamy sheer/matte. According to Maison Jacynthe “The candelilla wax allows a gentle application without drying of the lips. The oil of abyssinia allows the enhancement of the color and the long duration.

Kailijumei Flower Jelly Lipstick

The Kailijumei Flower Jelly Lipstick in Flame Red has a plink colored flower and gold flecks encased in a clear jelly lipstick. The packaging is pretty with a metallic red case with a mirror. You pop up the lipstick by pressing on the bottom button of the case.

Covergirl Star Wars The Force Awakens Lipstick

My 12-year-old self would have worn this lipstick day and night as I was an extreme Empire Strikes Back fan back in the 80’s. The No. 50 Dark Purple shade is amazing!

Happy National Lipstick Day!

Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait Review

I received a Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait in my July 2017 Glossybox and at first I thought it was too light but it’s growing on me!

What’s to love?

The Trifle Cosmetics Lip Parfait Exotic Fruit shade reminds me of a shade from the 60’s is a light sherbet pink. You can see the shade even better in my video below. It also comes in Guilty Pug which is orange-ish (I love the pug on the tube), Raccoon which is a hot pink and Summer Cone which is red.

The cases are adorable but the cardboard construction did get a bit warped for me which made it hard to replace the lid.

I like the consistency and feel of this lipstick, it applies nicely and has good staying power. The retail on this lipstick is $18.95 which I think is a bit high on a new brand for me but I do like their line. It’s super cute and creative.

The lipstick is…

  • Vegan
  • No Parabens
  • No Phthalates
  • No Mineral Oil
  • With Vitamin E
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple – Ombré Radiance Blush Palette Review

I am super excited that I got to try the Trifle Cosmetics Raspberry Ripple – Ombré Radiance Blush Palette from my July Ipsy Glam Bag.

Trifle Cosmetics is this super cute company that has a lot of delicious looking products and they are 100% Cruelty-Free, Vegan, Gluten Free, Paraben Free and they use Recyclable Packaging Printed With Soy Ink. Their Sugar Bunny Heavenly Lip Scrub looks so good too!

First up packaging is really cute with colorful graphics on the outer package (it reminds me of the Balm a bit) and the case is black with hot pink lettering.

The blush itself is cute but small and at first I thought this was a sample size however on their website it says Poids Net Wt. 3g / 0.11 oz. for $17.95 and that’s the size I received in my Ipsy bag, so it is on the small size.

The blush itself is very pretty and pigmented. You get 3 light-enhancing shades in a light pink, a pink/coral and darker pink shade on the right which has “pure Resveratrol to help give color, moisture & reduce hyperpigmentation“.

I do wish this palette was fruit or cookie scented, I think it would fit with their brand. To me this blush has a but of a strong earthy scent.

I think this is a nice blush but it’s a but on the pricey side for me.

According to their site it also has…

  • No Mineral Oils
  • No Phthalates
  • Fragrance-Free
  • No Parabens
  • With Resveratrol to assist in keeping skin hydrated and healthy
  • With Coated Colour Pigments for 8 hours of wear
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic
