C.O. Bigelow Body Lotion Review

I picked up three of the C.O. Bigelow Body Lotions for my mom over the holidays. You can get these at Bath & Body works for $9 each and they are really nice.

What’s to love?

Fun fact! C.O. Bigelow was founded in 1838 and is the oldest surviving apothecary–pharmacy in the U.S.A and the only actual C.O. Bigelow store is the original location at Sixth Avenue store in Greenwich Village. You can get their products online and at Bath & Body works.

I love their line and their body lotions are amazing. My mom has extremely dry hands and is always looking for a new lotion so I got her Citrus Vetiver, Lime Coriander and Vanilla Birch. They also come in Freshwater Lavender, Almond Musk, Sea Salt Mimosa, Bergamot Amber, Mandarin Oak and Cashmere Fig.

The body lotions are made with Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Aloe and Vitamin B5 and they really do work for us. The white formula is soft and and absorbs quickly. It does not feel greasy at all and they scents are amazing and strong in a fresh and beautiful way. I don’t find them to be perfumey at all, but more earthy and fresh. I’ve actually had people compliment me on the scent in stores.

I also love the simple masculine style of the bottles. I put one on my dresser and my husband started using it, he love it too. I think this product is great for anyone.

What’s to love?

When get dry and cracked fingers from the cold weather my go-to solution is the C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve. There’s nothing worse than trying to do dishes with cracked fingers so I try to heal these cuts as soon as possible.

The C.O. Bigelow Rose Salve is a miracle for cracked skin. It’s the consistency of Vaseline but with a rose tint and scent. You can use it on your lips, fingers, elbows, feet…really anywhere you have dry and cracked skin.

It’s thick when you rub it on so I try to blend it into my skin. I do feel like my skin is softer after using it and my cracked skin usually heals more quickly when I use it. I’m usually not a floral fan but this scent doesn’t bother me although I would prefer a peppermint scent.

The tin is cute too, it looks like something Laura Ingalls would have on Little House on thePrairie!

Now if only I could move to Hawaii!

The salve contains Petrolatum, Lanolin Oil, Squalene, Flavor (Aroma), Octyldodecanol, Gossypium Herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Bisabolol, Jojoba Esters, Red 30 Lake (CI73360) and is Made in the USA and it is Not Tested On Animals.

Price: $5.50

C.O. Bigelow – Spearmint Supreme 2X Lip Shine – No. 5 Review

I love mint. Anything with Peppermint or Spearmint is a favorite of mine. The only mint that grosses me out is Wintergreen. So I always keep a stash of C.O. Bigelow Lip Shine around for when I am craving mint!

What’s to love?

The “Spearmint Supreme 2X” gives the most potent minty scent for me. Total “skiing on a mountain in Switzerland” mint (although I don’t ski). I typically keep this  product in my purse and just apply over my lipstick for some shine and minty flavor. I feel more refreshed when I use mint in the Summer and Winter. It also moisturizes and freshens your breathe a bit which is great for after lunch when you don’t want to suck on a mint.

The Lip Shine is clear and not sticky. Just squeeze a dab out of the applicator and apply. As you can see it added a little shine to my Urban Decay Vice Lipstick.

I usually pick up a few of these Lip Shines at Bath & Body Works when they have a sale.
