Today I tested out the new Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Quads in Rust. You can also get Plum, Sage and Smoke. These matte triple milled shadows are just superb for women over 40 (like me).
What’s hot about the Kat Von D Shade + Light Rust palette.
First up…I am crazy in love with the case. It reminds me of something out of Harry Potter. Hermione would definitely wear this eyeshadow. I love the font and the raised lettering.

Now for the product! These shadows go on more like a cream, the powder is extremely fine and easy to work with. Each quad palette comes with a base, define, contour and highlight in that order.
You do get a short glossy tips card inside with instructions on how to create 4 different looks.
I created a more dramatic look using the define brown color on my lid and then the orange contour and beige highlight near my brow. I also used black Clinique mascara and some smoke Clinique eyeliner. I have hazel eyes and blonde hair.
The colors blend really nicely and are nice and bold.

I was really pleased with the over-all look and quality. I can easily wear these colors for day or evening looks. You could also wear any of the colors as a stand-alone product for a casual look.
The product is also long lasting and removes easily with a moist make-up removal cloth.
The only thing I’d love to see in the case is an application brush.
