Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

I love the Origins line and the Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash and just picked up another tube! I had reviewed this product last year and I am still a huge fan.

First up I like the updated packaging, it looks clean and artsy. The product itself is one of my favorite staples and at $23 for 5.0 Fl.Oz. it’s a deal as it lasts me about 6 months. I like to mix this in my weekly routine.

It has Broad Leaf Kelp Extract, Wheat Protein and Tourmaline which discourages excess oil production and I find that it works when my face is feeling greasy.

When Tourmaline crystals warm, as they do when rubbed onto the skin, they become positively charged at one end and negatively charged on the other. These energizing crystals are said to be effective at detoxifying and brightening skin while helping improve its vitality.

The scent is Bergamot, Spearmint and Lavender which smells amazing.

Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash Review

I am a huge fan of the Origins line and the Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash is one of my favorites in the shower. I use it when my face feels oily because it has Broad Leaf Kelp Extract, Wheat Protein and Tourmaline which is supposed to reduce oil production and I think it does for me.

What’s to love?

When my face is feeling on the oily side I grab Checks and Balances. It’s got a very light scent that includes Bergamot, Spearmint and Lavender which I love. To me it has such an earthy scent, which is one of the reasons that I love the Origins line.

The face wash is white with a beautiful iridescent shine and it really is frothy and light. It feels amazing and smooth on my face and lathers into a thin cream. I also love that it leaves zero reside on my face when I rinse it off and I get that squeaky clean feeling without feeling dry.

I used to use Origins a lot  and I feel like I’m adding more Origins products into my daily routine now. I feel like Origins gives me a great product for the price too. It’s a high-end product but very affordable.

Price: $22 for 5.0 fl. oz.

Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll-On For Puffy Eyes Review

I often get puffy eyes in the morning yet I’ve never had the time to place cucumber slices on my eyes however I have a sample of the Origins No Puffery Cooling Roll-On For Puffy Eyes that seems to be a good replacement for the actual vegetable but I have mixed feelings about the applicator.

What’s to love?

This clear Origins gel formula is supposed to instantly de-puff eyes with Cucumber, Yeast Extract and Hoelen Mushroom Extract. The web site also says it’s Ophthalmologist tested.

The packaging is unique in that the top contains a silver ball that is supposed to dispense the product as a roll-on under your eyes. I did have a heck of a time getting the product out the first time I used it. I actually had to squeeze the tube in order to get the gel on the ball and then my silver ball didn’t really roll that well.

I did however like the product. I did feel like it soothed and de-puffed my eyes and it felt nice. The scent is classic Origins earthy which I love too.

Overall I like the product but I’m not crazy about the applicator unless I’m just doing something really wrong. For every use I have to squeeze the tube which then squirts the product out of the side of the roller. It works, it’s just wonky.

Price: $28

Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer Review

I am a huge fan of Origins and the GinZing line is a favorite of mine.

What’s to love!

The GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturizer is one of the favorites in my moisturizing collection. I use it when my skin is feeling dry and worn out. The smell is amazing. I could actually carry this product around and just sniff it all day. It has a light orange scent with a touch of “earthy”. It reminds me of Summer!

GinZin can be used for any skin type. I have a very oily T-zone with flakey areas on my forehead and this product tames both. I also use it on my hands when they are feeling dry.

The oil free formula contains Panax Ginseng and Coffee Bean (two of my favorites).
