New Sephora Lip Balm & Scrub

I picked up a tube of the New Sephora Lip Balm & Scrub in Honey  Lip Scrub (exfoliating & smoothing scrub). It also comes in a Lip Balm in the following flavors:  Goji  (nourishing & protecting), Rose (nourishing & shining), Coconut (nourishing & soothing), Tangerine (nourishing & toning) and Almond (nourishing & moisturizing).

What’s to love?

This is an interesting product in that I wasn’t sure if it was a balm, a scrub or both because I ordered it online. So afterwards I figured out that the Honey variety is the only one that’s a lip scrub. The other flavors are lip balms. This was actually pretty confusing on the Sephora page.

Aside from the confusion I did like this product. It’s got a light honey scent and I did feel a nice very, very mild exfoliation when I applied it to my lips. This isn’t like a traditional lip scrub with large sugar crystals but a very mild feeling scrub.

Once the product was on my lips I pressed them together for a few minutes and wiped it off, although I think you could just keep it on it’s so light. My lips did feel very moisturized afterwards which was nice.

It is formulated without Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

Price: $6.00

Sephora Beauty Insider Rewards Haul

I really love Sephora’s Beauty Insider rewards point system. You can get a nice single product for 100 points or a larger product for 500+ points. You get 1 point for every dollar spent and I get 50 points per month if I take my Sephora Play Box Beauty Insider Card into the store and make a purchase which I think is cool.

This time I saved up 500 points and got this neat Urban Decay four piece eye shadow set. The compact came in a box and the shades are black, white, purple and a coppery color. It also came with a mirror, brush and sample of Primer Potion which I love.

Sephora Contour Eye Pencil Review

I got a mini Sephora Contour Eye Pencil in Flirting Game and it’s my new Fall favorite. This eye pencil is beautiful!

What’s to love?

This little eye pencil is really nice for Fall. Sephora says it’s Taupe but it’s really multi-dimensional and shimmery. You can see in the swatch below that it’s super pigmented. It is waterproof so it’s also got great staying power. I had a very hard time removing it from my arm so I do believe that it will last 12 hours.

The pencil is on the softer side so I did need a nice point to get a thin line. This is not a twist-up so you’ll need a sharpener. I do recommend putting it in the fridge before you sharpen it to firm up the product because if the air temperature is too warm it might be hard to sharpen.

The pencil comes in 25 colors including glitter, matte and shimmer. I’d like to try one of the glitter green or purple shades next.

The full-sized product price is $10 and these pencils are Made in Germany. They are also free of Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.
