Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Review

I received a sample jar of the Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter Body Moisturizer in my  January 2018 Target Box.

What’s to love?

I have mixed feeling about Soap & Glory. I love the packaging and the marketing and some of their make-up products work for me, but oh that scent!

I like the Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter but I’m not too crazy about the Original Pink scent which is fresh bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, and soft musk & amber base notes. The scent is much too floral for me.

The cream itself is very nice. The thick white formula is a good moisturizer, I just can’t get past the scent!

Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish Review

I received a sample of the Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish in my May Target Beauty Box. I have had mixed feeling about Soap & Glory because of the floral scents (I prefer fruit and food) but I really love this body polish.

What’s to love?

Soap & Glory is growing on me! The Flake Away Body Polish has just the right amount of grit and made my skin feeling amazingly refreshed and I really picked up on the fruit scents more than the floral this time. This product is great for dry skin and worked wonders on my legs. I would call this a true body polisher.

The scent of Flake Away is the Soap & Glory Original Pink scent which has combines bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, and soft musk & amber base notes.

It’s super easy to use, just mix with water and rub on skin. I has no irritation from Flake Away but I don’t have sensitive skin.

Full-sized Price: $11.19

Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash Review

I received a sample of the Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash in one of my beauty boxes and tested it out today.

Soap & GlorySoap & Glory is a UK based drug store brand that I’ve seen in Target, CVS and Ulta. They started in 2006 and their branding is cute. It’s got a retro feel.

The only other Soap & Glory product I’ve tried was the Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip Gloss and I did like it.

What’s to love? What’s Meh.

The Soap & Glory Vitamin C Facial Wash has natural Superfruit Yuzu and little pink Ultra-Soft Scrub-Beads to cleanse. I was a bit worried because they use micro-beads (which are bad for the environment) but the good news is that in my research I found that Soap & Glory stopped using plastic micro-beads in 2014.

The cleansing gel is greenish and has a fresh scent, but to me it smells a bit like the Irish Spring soap which I’m not a fan of.

I also didn’t get a lot of lather from the gel. It had light bubble action and while my face felt clean afterwards I found that it took awhile to wash off.

Overall I don’t think this is a bad product. It gets lots of good reviews but it’s not something I would purchase again.

Full-Sized Price: $12

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip Gloss Review

This is a week of firsts for me! I have never tried Soap & Glory before today. I have seen their products at Ulta and Walgreens and I love the packaging but the price always seemed a bit too high for me to test anything out. Today I got the Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip Gloss in Pinkwell as part of a gift set from Ulta so I thought I’d review it.

What’s to love?

If you’re someone who likes tingling lip gloss you’ll probably like this formula as it is super tingly and it smells like chocolate. My lips looked like glass after I applied it and the sticky factor was about on par with any other lip gloss I’ve used.

The idea behind the tingle is that it plumps your lips up which I think it did on mine a little. The light peachy/pink color is very pretty and it’s a nice smooth lip gloss. The package says “Lip Plumping Gloss features Lipswell Natural Flower Oil Infusion and glassy-shine technology“.

My one issue is that the full-sized price is $14 which I did find to be a bit on the high side for a drug store brand lip gloss. It is Made in the U.K.

I actually prefer the minty menthol taste and feel of the C.O. Bigelow lip gloss better.
