July 2016 Sephora Play Box Review

*Spoiler Alert! I’m showcasing the July 2106 Sephora Play Box today.

The Sephora Play Box costs $10/month and you have to sign up to get invited. My invite took about a week.

In addition to the products you also get a Play! card that is good for a free one-on-one tutorial and 50 extra beauty points which I will definitely be getting.

Here’s what I got in the July 2016 Sephora Play Box!

Blotterazzi Beauty Blender – I love this pink tear dropped shaped sponge. You also get a liquid facial cleanser sample. I’m excite to try both.

Nest Citrine Fragrance – I am not a huge fan of perfume in general so I think I’ll pass this on to a friend. It does have a nice lotus flower and freesia scent.

Ouai Wave Spray – This hair spray is supposed to light waves and being that my hair is naturally wavy I’m excited to try it. It’s got a beachy, sea salty smell to it.

First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser – I’ve used this cleanser before and love it so I was excited to get another sample. This cleanser is a light pearlescent cream that no smell. I love how my face feels after I use it…light and clean. I like using it in the shower.

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – I love this primer! I have a few samples and my mom will love this extra one.

Benefit Dew The Hoola  – LOL…I just noticed the box is upside down! This bronzer comes in a pump and it’s creamy with a great light smell. I’m not really a big fan of bronzers and this one felt a bit drying on my hand. I also didn’t notice a big change in color so not sure I’d use this.

Overall I’d give this box a 7 out of 10 only because I’m probably only going to use the pink blender and First Aid Beauty cream. These are great products, just not for me. Although I am excited to get my next Play! box.

Sephora or Ipsy who do you love more? I know its a tough one!

This month I liked Ipsy better but what I love about these boxes is that you never know what you’re going to get (quoting Forrest Gump there). Next month I may love Sephora more. I am really such a fan of all these boxes. It makes me smile to get a package full of beauty products every month. And actually my favorite box for July was the Allure Beauty Box. A little more pricey at $15 but worth it.

Do you shop at Sephora a lot? They seem too small for me. Glad you got some good stuff.

Ours is pretty big, I like it.

It looks great for the price you pay! I love the look of the hair wave spray, not too sure on the whole blotting my oil away with the same sponge all the time though… xo

Yeah it is a great deal. I can’t wait for next month : ) I’m curious to try that sponge too, not sure how I’ll like it.
