Algenist Algae Brightening Mask Review

This week I picked up a sample set of face masks at Sephora and I’ve been having so much fun trying them out. I highly recommend sample sets because you get to figure out which masks work and don’t work.

Today I tried out the Algenist Algae Brightening Mask and I loved it!

What’s to love?

This is a true clay mask that gets tingly when you apply it. It feels a bit cool and as it dries it stays more creamy then some clay masks I’ve used. It’s got a bit of grit but it nothing rough. I absolutely love the smell, it’s fresh with a hint o of mint.

I left my mask on for about 10 minutes and wiped off with a hot wash cloth. My skin felt very smooth and tight after using. I also noticed that my face felt less oily. I really want to use this a few times to see if it continues with oil control. I am really wanting to find a good reliable oil control mask!

I’m excited to add this one to my mask routine to see if my skin in fact gets brighter with use.

It is oil-free, dermatologist tested, and non-comedeogenic.

I tried a sample of this mask a while back and have been meaning to pick up a full size version but keep on forgetting to do so! I love the way it instantly brightens my face and controls oil. Jay x
