*Spoiler Alert! I’m showcasing the August 2106 Ipsy Glam Bag today.

The theme for the August 2016 Ipsy Bag is “Live That Fantasy” and the bag is super super cute with the Sugar Highness design. I have to say that I love the quality of the Ipsy bags. I always find great uses for them.
Please excuse the subpar photos my natural light is being eaten up by a thunderstorm outside!

Are you ready? Here’s what I got for August.
NYC Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator in Gleam I’m super excited to try another NYX product. Born To Glow looks amazing on my hand with lots of shimmer and it feels light and airy. Full-sized product is $7.50.

Organic Surge Daily Care Perfecting Face Polish – I am not familiar with Organic surge but I’ll certainly give this one a try. It has zero scent and it says it can be used on sensitive skin. Full-sized product is $7.62.

Lord & Berry Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick – The Lord & Berry line is new to me too but I am loving this matte lip liner in Intimacy Lip Color which is is a dark rosy pink. It’s got great pigmentation and is super smooth. Full-sized product is $20.00.

Beauty For Real I-Line in Black Magic Eyeliner – This is another line I have never heard of. Beauty For Real was founded by make-up artist Leslie Munsell. It does seem like a really nice eyeliner (I tried it on my hand and it goes an smooth and dark) and it’s Made in the USA which I like too. Full-sized product is $14.00.

Josie Maran Whipped Mud Mask in Vanilla Apricot – You can buy this in a 5 pack set at Sephora for $48. The mask is supposed to hydrate and exfoliate. It has a very light scent and I will try it out.
I’m giving this month a 9 because although I liked the contents of the bag I felt that the Josie Maran sample was a bit too small. It would have been nice to have a little more product to try. I also would have liked to see at least one more bigger name product this month, but who knows, maybe I’ll end up really liking these lessor known brands. I’m up for the challenge!
So far the Birchbox is winning out for August but I’m still waiting for Allure and Sephora.
