ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Lippie Review

I received two full-sized ColourPop Ultra Matte Lip Lippies in my April GlossyBox and I’m pretty happy with them. The Ultra Matte Lippies come in 50 shades!

What’s to love?

Being over 40 I have a love/hate relationship with the liquid matte lipsticks in terms of dryness but I have to say that they ColourPop Mattes are quite nice and don’t dry my lips too much.

I received two shades…Airplane Mode which is a nude shade and Tuesday which is a bright pink coral. I prefer the Airplane Mode shade which looks so pretty. Tuesday is way to bright for my fair skin.

The formula on these lippies is super thin. I actually dripped some out of the tube when I was taking my photos. However this didn’t impede the application, in fact I think it made it easier.

Once on the lipstick dries very quickly and I can barely tell it’s there and it has decent staying power. I got about 6 hours worth of wear however it did come off when I ate greasy food and I mean it all came off!

The Ulta Matte also has no scent and the retail price is $6.

You can see me apply the Airplane Mode shade in my video below!

  1. Beautiful colors. I am 44 and know what you’re saying about the liquid lipsticks and the dryness. Most of the liquid lipsticks I buy I can’t use. 😦 I may have to try these thanks to your review! Thank you for sharing! 🙂

  2. I hate the formula of these. I got the shade Bumble and while it’s a gorgeous color, after maybe an hour of wearing it I couldn’t wait to take it off as it felt so uncomfortable. However I LOVE their Ultra Satin formula. Very comfortable and despite not being transfer-proof they have pretty good staying powder.
