Ipsy Glam Bag vs. Birchbox

Ipsy Glam Bag vs. Birchbox

First up I have to say that I am a big fan of both beauty boxes but a lot of people have been asking me which one they should try. With both boxes you get to fill out a beauty profile about your skin type and hair color so that the products you get are a better match for you.

Here’s the scoop on both.

Ipsy Glambag

Each month Ipsy give you a customized bag with 5 beauty products. I absolutely love getting the bag and I also like Ipsy’s creativity. I feel like they put a little art into each month and their selections are great. I’ve had Ipsy for over a year now and I’ve loved 12 out of 15 bags. Occasionally I get products that I can’t use so I gift them to a friend.

If you love trying new things and bag you should try Ipsy.

Cost: $10/month

Some of the brands I’ve gotten from Ipsy: Dirty Little Secret, Tarte, Purlisse, Ciate, NYX, theBalm, Too Faced, Josie Maran, Lord & Berry, Dr. G, TONY MOLY, NudeStix, Trifle Cosmetics.

Birchbox

Birchbox comes in a colorful box each month and if you collect pretty boxes you’ll love them. Birchbox is more hit or miss for me. I usually really love their box or it’s kind of Meh. I have however gotten some high-end  products like GlamGlow, MAC and Bumble and bumble which is nice. I also tend to get a lot of hair products from Brichbox.

If you love a nice box and high-end brand names you should try Birchbox.

Cost: $10/month

Some of the brands I’ve gotten from Birchbox: Coola, MAC, GlamGlow, MannaKadar Cosmetics, Stila, Skin Food, R+Co., Benefit, Dr. Brandt, Bumble and bumble, Vasanti, Beauty Protector.
