I received the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II in my August Boxycharm Box and it’s gorgeous! I am thrilled to have gotten this palette as part of my Boxycharm Box.
What’s to love?
First up, I love the case. It’s gold with a pretty blue, purple and pink sea scape.
The palette itself is amazing too. The shades are super pigmented and almost feel like a cream. I swatched the shades below although the riptide shade does not look blue to me. At first I thought it was dark green but it’s actually more of a charcoal. My favorite shade is marina!
The shades from left to right are…
- pearl (white shimmer)
- conch (off white)
- sunset (yellow gold)
- marina (caramel)
- seaside (chestnut)
- siren (dark brown)
- breezy (shimmering slate)
- riptide (steel blue)
I also found the shades to be very blendable and long lasting. They have no scent although I do wish they had the “Tarte” vanilla scent as I love that smell!
