Dirty Little Secret Eye Shadow In Sangria Review

I received the Dirty Little Secret Eye Shadow In Sangria in one of my Ipsy bags and I just got around to trying it out.

Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics was founded in 2014 by Emanuela DeFalco, “She does all the testing on herself and her employees, and puts each product and shade through vigorous testing before approving for production.”

What’s to love?

I have been a fan of the Dirty Little Secret line for awhile now and I was thrilled to discover their eyes shadow line. The 1.5g pot retails for $12 and they also have a 5 shade bundle on sale for $54. You get Bronzed, Matte Roses, Teaser, NYE and Bikini.

The eye shadow is deeply pigmented and almost feels like a cream. Sangria is a beautiful metallic that has a reddish/bronze hue. I found it to be very blendable and it did not crease.

Dirty Little Secret Gold Plated Eyeshadow Chubby Crayon Review

I received a full-sized Dirty Little Secret Gold Plated Eyeshadow Chubby Crayon in my Summer 2017 Beautycon box and I’m loving it so far.

What’s to love?

The Dirty Little Secret Gold Plated Eyeshadow Chubby Crayon is in the shade Gold Plated and it’s got plenty of shimmer and shine.

Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics was founded in 2014 and I’ve tried a lot of their products with great success. They Chubby Crayon is soft and applies very easily (there’s no tugging) and the color looks amazing. It’s a light shimmery gold and makes my over 40 eyes looks nice.

The Chubby Crayon does not have a scent and their site says they are cruelty free and vegan.

Dirty Little Secret Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

I got a full-sized tube of the Dirty Little Secret Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick in Rust in my Spring Beautycon Box and I’ve gotten other DLS products in other beauty boxes. DLS was founded in 2014 and is an indie beauty company that sells on their website.

What’s to love?

First up, the packaging is so cute. It’s a good quality clear plastic tube with white polka dots and a black lid. The doe foot is angled for easy application.

The DLS Velvet Matte Liquid Lipstick is very nice. The Rust shade is gorgeous. It’s a deep red with hints of rust. I swatched it in my video below.

The formula itself is super creamy but to my surprise it’s more of a semi-matte then a true on matte. My lips do tend to dry out with mattes. There’s just a touch of satin going on with it as well and my lips felt very smooth after it dried.

It applies very smoothly but I had some trouble with bleeding edges which I tend to have with dark liquid shades. It wasn’t a huge problem. I just used a make-up wipe to clean the edges. I think a good lip liner would solve that problem.

It had good staying power (almost too good), I had to remove it with a make-up remover wipe. This formula has zero scent and it’s Made in China. Retail Price: $14
