Ulta Pumpkin Spice Body Wash Review

Today I stopped by Ulta and picked up not one, but two Ulta Pumpkin Spice Body Washes and I’m so glad I did. I am a Fall Pumpkin Spice addict and this one is amazing. It also comes in a Pumpkin Spice Body Lotion.

What’s to love?

The Ulta Pumpkin Spice Body Wash has Shea Butter, aloe and vitamins A, C and E and the formula is very nice. I am a huge fan of the Ulta bath and body line. It’s also Made in the USA.

The scent on this one is spot on Pumpkin Spice and one of the best I’ve smelled. It’s creamy pumpkin with a hint of cinnamon. It’s also Free of Parabens, Gluten, DEA, Phthalates and TEA.

Ulta Beauty Legendary Lengths Mascara Review

I picked up the Ulta Beauty Legendary Lengths Mascara on sale for $4 during the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale and I really like it as a light mascara.

This gluten free formula is very light and does not clump at all for me. The hourglass wand made application super easy and my lashes looked nice however it’s a bit of a trick to get enough product on the wand. It gave my lashes a very light coating which looks nice however I didn’t get the lengthening that I expected. The color is a nice deep black.

Over all I like this formula but I wouldn’t call it a lash lengthen. For me it’s more of a nice daily wear mascara. I actually prefer the high end mascara brands but for $4 this one was worth trying.

Here’s a few other things I got in my Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Haul!

Ulta Smooth Exfoliating Body Scrub Review

I just got back from Day 1 of the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Sale and one of the things I picked up is the Ulta Smooth Exfoliating Body Scrub in Coconut & Almond Milk. This is a Hot Buy and I paid $6 (originally $19.50) so I was excited to get the deal.

What’s to love?

I didn’t even know Ulta made this scrub until today. It was right at the front door as a Hot Buy so I picked one up and it smells amazing, just like dessert. It comes in 4 scents and all of them smell so good.

  • Sea Mist + White Flower – Pamper Luxe
  • Lavender + Berries – Soothe Luxe
  • Verbena + Lemon Grass – Refresh Luxe
  • Coconut +Almond Milk – Nourish Luxe

The formula for this scrub is amazing. I tested it out on my hands and the walnut shells gives just the right about of exfoliation. It also has Shea Butter, Aloe, Green Tea & Vitamins A, C, E and D to smooth. After I was done my hands felt so soft and not greasy at all.

Overall I am so impressed with this scrub and I really want the Lavender +Berries one too so I might just be heading back to Ulta this week while they are on sale.

This product is free of Parabens, Gluten, DEA, Phthalates and it’s Made in the USA.

I also did a video about my Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Picks.

Ulta Holiday Shimmer & Shine 4 Piece Nail Collection Review

I was going to give this Ulta Holiday Shimmer & Shine 4 Piece Nail Collection as a sticking stuffer but it’s so pretty I decided to keep it for myself. Luckily Ulta is doing more great sales on stocking stuffers this week.

What’s to love?

I love how festive this set is. It’s perfect for Christmas or New Year’s. In this set you get 4 mini nail polishes including Hustle & Bustle (red glitter), Festive (red shimmer), Sleigh Bells (silver glitter) and Twinkling (bronze shimmer).

The nail polish is free of formaldehyde, DBP and Toulene and it’s Made in the USA.

I am wearing one coat of Festive. It’s a cranberry red polish with tiny silver pieces of glitter which gives it a nice shimmer. One coat looks so pretty.

I got this set for $2.99 on Black Friday which was a steal!

I’m Wearing Ulta Diva Clear Glitter Nail Polish and I’m channeling the 80’s!

I’m feeling the 80’s tonight and I’m listening to Do they know it’s Christmas by Band Aid from 1984 which is quite possibly the best video every made.

I was 14 years old that Christmas and I spent the week in Los Angels, CA which was huge for this mid-west Ohio girl. My entire goal for the week was to meet Duran Duran, Boy George and Cyndi Lauper. Sadly I didn’t achieve that goal however I did mange to buy an amazing pair of suede ankle boots and clear glitter nail polish at Nordstrom.

Today I think I found the exact same shade I wore in 1984 from Ulta and it’s called Diva. It’s kind of an opaque clear with very tiny glitter and it looks really pretty…Christmasy and 80’s.

Ulta Salon Formula Nail Polish Review

Ulta is doing a buy 2 Get, Get 2 Free on their Salon Formula Nail Lacquer which comes out to $3 a bottle which is awesome! It’s a great time to stock up for Fall.

Here are3 of my favorite Ulta colors: Violet Femme, Encore Pink and Flamingo.

What’s to love?

I am a huge fan of the Ulta nail polish. It comes in about 50 colors and I can always find a new shade that I love. The formula itself is a great consistency and goes on super smooth. I am also impressed with how fast this formula dries. One coat gives me excellent coverage for a few days of wear. I rarely keep polish on for more than a week at a time and this one does the job perfectly.

Here are my nails in Flamingo.

Ulta Lipstick Review

I love getting low cost quality lipstick and I am pretty impressed with the Ulta brand which I am rediscovering.  I usually pick these up when there’s a free gift available. At only $8 you get build up a nice collection of colors including matte.

What’s to love?

I love to change my lip color everyday. It’s just fun to have a nice selection of shades available to fit my mood or wardrobe and and while I’d like to own the entire Urban Decay Vice collection that would be a bit pricey so I mix high and and lower end brands for variety.

Here’s the 3 in the photo from left to right.

Mulberry Matte – I got this in my Ulta gift this week and although it’s a bit dark I think it will look great for Fall. It is a true matte and is non-drying and stays in place. It’s got zero scent and feels super light. The only thing I’d recommend is using a lip liner to keep it off your face.

The standard lipstick comes in a nice gunmetal case with a clear top for color viewing which I love. The case feels weighty and sturdy.

Think Pink Shimmer – This is an older shade that I don’t see on the website. My mom actually had this one in her stash and never used it so I grabbed it. I love the pink shimmer which is a great Summer color. This one is not as creamy as the Urban Decay Vice line but goes on smooth and looks like a light sparkle.

Hot Coral Cream – This is yet another shade that my mom was hiding! This cream is a nice orangey shade with that’s just a bit too bright for my complexion but I liked how it went on.

Overall I’m glad that I rediscovered the Ulta Lipstick line and want to get a few more. None of the 3 had any stickiness or felt heavy which I love and they are gluten-free which I doubly love!

The only strange thing is that the older two shades were Made in Canada and the matte shade was Made in China. Not sure what’s up with that but I prefer cosmetics that are not made in China. Is that an issue with anyone else? I’m curious if China made cosmetics are considered safe. I mean I know it’s a US brand and NYX is Made in China too. Just curious what everyone else thinks about this.

The cases.

Ulta Baked Eyeshadow Trio Review (and I got a free gift)!

I dropped into Ulta today because they have this neat 13 piece free gift with a $21.50 purchase and I needed some purple and gold nail polish so I ended up snagging that and some Baked Eye Shadow Trio in Michigan Avenue (which is 3 shades of blue).

What’s to love about the Ulta Baked Eye Shadow Trio?

I normally don’t wear blue eye shadow, even in the 80’s I went for the purples and the brown shades. I always feel like I have a black eye with the blues.

I got this one because it looked so pretty and I figured it might come in handy for a Halloween costume.

I’m still not completely convinced I love the blue shades but I did really like the Ulta Baked Eye Shadow Trio as a product and want to try the Haight & Ashbury purple shades next.

This trio comes with 3 shades which I found to be pigmented, blendable and super shimmery. Of course you’re not going to get the same pigment as a high end Urban Decay set but I wouldn’t expect that in a $10 product. It’s a great product for the price.

I paired my eye shadow up with the free Plush Drama Mascara and the free Dual Ended Eye Liner in Cobalt.

Another thing I liked is that this product is Made in Canada.

My free gift for spending $21.50 on Ulta products.

I was super excited to get this gift set for free with my purchases. I love the bag and getting another purple nail polish was a nice bonus. The Plush Drama Mascara is not my favorite but it’s nice to have a spare mascara on hand. I can’t wait to try the Mineral Powder and lip products. Getting 2 brushes was plus too.

Here’s what’s included (from the page)

  • Eyeshadow & Face Compact
  • Plush Rush Volume Mascara
  • Matte Lipstick in Mulberry
  • Dual Ended Lip Liner in My Berry & Flesh
  • Dual Ended Eye Liner in Blackout & Cobalt (
  • Mineral Lip Gloss in Sheer Opal
