Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lipstick Review

The Ciate London Liquid Velvet Lipstick is a Beauty Box find and a darn good liquid lipstick! I’m reviewing the Pin Up shade.

And yes that’s my latest crochet project in the background. I’m out of natural light so I needed a patterned back-drop for contrast…it’s kind of Austin Powers like too!

What’s to love?

I just happened to come across this lipstick in my stash today and decided to try it out. This is also my first Ciate London Review.

I wasn’t expecting to love this product because I usually don’t like matte liquids but I was pleasantly surprised with Liquid Velvet. It’s actually pretty creamy and felt very light on my lips. It’s formulated with Hyaluronic Acid which which is good for anti-aging and I certainly need that!

I found the pigmentation to be wonderful. I’m only wearing one coat and it held up to my water drinking test. There was no lipstick on my glass.  I also found the Pin Up shade to be perfect for me. It reminds me of a Revlon ColorStay shade I used to wear in the 90’s. It’s kind of a dark berry raisin shade.

The lipstick has almost zero scent and taste and it’s Free from parabens, sulphates and phthalates.

Price: $19
