Maybelline Lip Color Palette Review

Today I tried out the Maybelline New York Lip Gloss Palette. I got this on

What I like…

First up, this product (unlike The Graffiti Nudes) was Made in Canada which I love. There is also zero odor to the palette. Score #2.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this set. I usually hate brush on lip paint but this set really has a quality feel. You get 9 shades from light to dark and a lip brush.

The product goes on super smooth and easy with no stickiness which I’ve come to expect with pot style lipstick. I blended some of the lighter shades with the 4th one from the left to create a nice light rosy shade.

My only tip would be to use a lip liner first to keep the lipstick from bleeding. Or perhaps a better lip brush would work. I just felt like I didn’t have a lot of control when applying the product and I got it above my lip.

What’s not so hot…

My only con was that I’d like another brush or a dual brush so that you can use one for the light shades and one for the dark. I hate when you get a large palette and not enough applicators.

Overall I liked this product, it would make a great travel or purse palette. I hate keeping expensive products in my purse because they tend to get ruined.
