What’s New In Beauty For March 2017?

Happy March 1st! Everywhere I look there seems to be new cosmetic products popping up so I did a little digging and found 5 new beauty products that are launching in March.

Which products do you want to try first?

The Too Faced Peanut Butter & Honey Eyeshadow Palette features  brown, gold and amber and seems to be a continuation of their Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette. I like the sparkly Bee’s Knees shade so much. Price: $36

Next up from Too Faced is the Natural Love Eye Shadow Collection that’s coming on March 9th. These shades look amazing to me. I love the pink shades in this palette and the purple Love Bug looks pretty too. Price: $59

Too Faced has been busy this Spring! They are also releasing their Turn On You Love Light Heart shaped highlighters in March.

Jeffree Star is also releasing the new Androgyny palette on March 4th which looks to be very pretty. These deep pigmented shades look amazing.

Mac Cosmetics has a new In The Flesh eyeshadow palette with 15 beautiful neutral shades. It launches March 2nd.

The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip Set Is Perfect For Valentine’s Day!

Being a beauty addict I try to look for deals so that I can get the most beauty products for my money and I’ve found Value Sets to be one of the best ways to do this. I love shopping Sephora online and I did enroll in Sephora Flash to get free 2-day shipping for a year with no minimum purchase. I also get 3 free samples with every order.

Last week I ordered the new Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lip. You get 5 lipsticks and a lip liner with this set in a cute pink lip shaped box with black confetti.

The box contained…

Here are the swatches from top to bottom.

Urban Decay, Too Faced, Buxom, Bite, Marc Jacobs, Estee Lauder.

I really feel like this set was a deal at $28 ($88.00 value). The Urban Decay Lipstick is a full-sized product and the other 4 lipsticks are nice large sized samples that gave me a chance to try brands that I had never used before like Marc Jacobs.

I also can’t wait to try the Estée Edit The Barest Contour lip Liner, it looks like a very creamy and soft liner which I love.

This set would also make a really nice Valentine’s Day gift, I may pick up another one for my mom!

Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wearing Lipstick Review

I got a sample of the Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wearing Lipstick in Chocolate Milkshake in my 2016 Christmas In New York Too Faced The Chocolate Shop and I’ve just spent the last 10 minutes smelling it!

What’s to love?

Aside from the chocolate scent which is wonderful (because of the cocoa-powder-infusion) I really like Melted Chocolate. The fuzzy tip applicator is really unique. It’s a fuzzy pad and you squeeze the product up through holes in the top. The fuzzy applicator makes it easy to stay in control while you apply the lipstick.

The Chocolate Milkshake color that I have is a nice light toffee brown and I think it looks amazing. I also liked the feel of it on my lips, it’s light and non-drying. The Melted Chocolate line also comes in Chocolate Cherries, Chocolate Honey, Metallic Chocolate Diamonds, Metallic Frozen Hot Chocolate and Metallic Candy Bar.

Overall I am super impressed with this line. It has great staying power and it’s beautiful. I’d love to try a few more shades. After all, you can never have too much lipstick!

2016 Christmas In New York Too Faced The Chocolate Shop Review

I got a nice haul this year for Christmas and I want to start sharing some of my loot! One of my favorite gifts is the Limited Edition Christmas In New York Too Faced The Chocolate Shop. I actually bought this myself a few weeks before Christmas with my $20 off at Sephora…kind of an early Christmas present and I love it.

What’s to love?

The packaging on this kit is so cute but it’s a bit awkward to maneuver. It’s a window box on top with 3 products. You get  Shadow Insurance, Better Than Sex Mascara and a Melted Chocolate Liquified Long Wear Lipstick that smells like chocolate. These are cute little bonus items that I was glad to get.

The real treat however is the palette itself. I think I’m actually going to remove the palette from the large box so it fits better on my make-up table. The palette has a magnetic closure so it seal good.

The palette gives you 18 eye shades, 3 highlighters and 3 blush/bronzers and they all smell like chocolate because they are infused with cocoa powder which I really love. There’s something so nice about having a chocolate aroma swirling around.

I swatched a few of my favorite shades. They are…

  • Sugar Bells – Metallic Silver
  • Mint Chip – Teal Shimmer
  • Jingle Berry – Mauve/Pink Shimmer
  • Sugared Raisin – Violet Metallic
  • Honey Dip – Gold Metallic
  • Lava Cake – Brown Metallic

All of the shades a so beautiful and they have amazing pigmentation. I love that you get a nice assortment of colors too, they do remind me of a chocolate shop.

Overall I love this palette and I’m glad I picked one up before they sold out.

The Too Faced Peach Collection Is Here!

Sweet Peaches! I want some Too Faced peach eye shadow and blush and lipstick! The new Sweet Peach Eye Shadow Collection has 18 gorgeous shades and is on my after Christmas list! The shimmery shades consist of “peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and pops of purples” which just happen to be my favorite colors.

Here’s a picture I snapped at Sephora!

This $49 palette is getting great reviews and I can’t wait to try it. Too Faced is one of my favorite brands and this peach set looks amazing.

Too Faced also has an entire Sweet Peach Glow Peach-Infused Highlighting Palette. This palette consists of three shades including  an illuminator, blush and bronzer.

They also have Peach lip color too and Jerrod Blandino the Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Too Faced Cosmetics is having an Instagram contest to win this amazing peach set which I really, really want!

Too Faced Love Flush Blush Review

I’ve been on the hunt for a night orange tone blush and I found the perfect product with Too Faced Love Flush Long Lasting Blush in How Deep Is Your Love?

What’s to love?

The Too Faced Love Flush blush is a super cute product that comes in a quality heart shaped compact with a very nice mirror. I love when companies include a high quality mirror. The blush itself is stamped with the Too Faced name and two bunnies which is also super cute. I feel like I am saying “super cute” a lot but darn it…it really is super cute and perfect for young girls as well as us over 40 gals who like cute compacts. Too Faced ifs definitely not just for the younger girls.

I chose the How Deep Is Your Love? shade which is a beautiful pink with orange undertones. I wanted a strong pigmentation and Too Faced delivers with this blush. The blush adheres to the brush really well and goes on fine and smooth. I got no streaking or dark spots. This blush also lives up to its long wearing name by staying on throughout the day for me.

Love Flush also feels super light-weight which is one of my most coveted qualities in a blush. I’d also like to try Your Love Is King which is a deep berry shade.

So a huge “wow” for this beautiful blush and color. I am super thrilled with this purchase.

Price: $26

Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara Review

The Too Faced Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara has gotten mixed review so when I got a sample in my Summer 2016 Beautycon Box I was happy to try it out.

What’s to love?

The beauty of this mascara really is in the brush which is like a fuzzy hourglass shaped caterpillar. One swipe and my lashes were fully covered.

I was super impressed with the application. It was so easy to apply and the brush made my lower lashes look amazing. I had zero clumping on the top or the bottom and I love the look. My lashes looked full, thick and natural.

The scent is light and not offensive at all. No heavy odor or anything which was good and I didn’t have any irritation at all.

The not so good.

Now for the not so good. I had read that this mascara is hard to get off which I expect with waterproof mascara but man this stuff did not budge. I used my Olay make-up remover clothes that usually rid me of everything but still no go. After 3 tries I have given up and just plan on wearing this mascara all day and possibly all night. My thought is that more might come off in the shower. So this is a big downfall for me. I may have permanent black lashes! At least they look good.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer Review

My third free sample of the day came from Ulta! I got an e-mail this morning that said I would get a Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer with any purchase! Well that got me in the store. I got a Covergirl brow pencil for my mom and my sample. Full sized price is $30.00.

What’s to love?

First up this product smells like chocolate so that’s a great reason to love it right off the bat, but there’s more to love.

Chocolate Soleil is a super versatile matte powder. Use it as a bronzer, blush or on your nose or chin. It adds great contour too. At first I thought the shade would be too dark on my fair vampire skin but I used it on my cheeks for a great Fall look.

The product blends so well and gave me a great Summer glow. I’d like to also try the Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer as it is a light medium matte.

Too Faced Country Palette Review

I ordered the Too Faced Country Palette online using a coupon I got for registering on their site which was really exciting. Not only does Too Faced deliver a wonderful product, their packaging is great too, love the pink paper. I also got a sample of Born this Way for the face and lips/

What’s to love about the Country Palette?

The palette comes in a metal hinged box that’s feels pretty weighty, not flimsy at all.

This cute little country inspired palette has some amazing colors including my new favorite, Paper Roses (which is pink). I haven’t worn pink eye shadow since high school and an now kicking myself for waiting so long. It complements hazel eyes really well.

The palette is divided up into 3 looks.

  • Day – Cowboy Take Me Away, Y’All, Dolly
  • Casual – Famous in a Small Town, Paper Roses, Rhinestone
  • Fashion – All American Girl, Nashville, Bluebird

I included the swatches below. Rhinestone is a beautiful purple, as is Bluebird and the nude highlighter colors are just perfect. All of the shades apply really easily as the powders are so fine.

I especially love this palette for women over 40 (like me) as the pigments are not super strong. The light colors really open up your eye nicely.

You can also get the Rock & Roll palette which has darker shades.

I am wearing Paper Roses, Rhinestone and Famous in a Small Town with black mascara.
